Entries Open: January 20, 2010 at 8:00 AM Entries Close: February 17, 2010 at 5:00 PM ALL ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED USING THE FIRST RECEIVED METHOD. Paper entries received within 24 hours of the opening date & time must: 1) include postage or be meter; 2) be delivered by a multi-state or multi-national postal or carrier service, including, but not limited to USPS, FedEx, UPS & DHL. If the above conditions are not met, the entries are not valid and must be returned to the sender. No more than 10 entries per envelope will be accepted. DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER This trial is open to all dogs 15 months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or are registerable breeds that have AKC ILP numbers, except bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog's physical or mental performance. Mixed breeds and breeds not registerable with the AKC are not eligible to enter. Refer to Chapter 2 of the "Registration and Discipline Rules" for the listing of registerable breeds that may participate. PRIZES AND AWARDS Rosettes and prizes will be awarded to the 1 st through 4 th place dog in each height division of each class. Prizes will be a dog related item. Qualifying ribbons will be awarded to all dogs receiving a qualifying score. Patches will be awarded to dogs completing titles. Dogs must receive a qualifying score to be eligible for placement ribbons and prizes. MACH bars and ribbons will be given to dogs completing a championship at this event. PLEASE NOTE Neither the Ouachita Valley Dog Training Club, Inc., Trial Secretary, nor any Trial Official will assume responsibility for any loss, theft, damage or injury sustained by an exhibitor, handler, or any of their dogs, children or property. TRIAL REGULATIONS Entries must be made on official AKC entry forms or copies and must include the Agreement and Rules. All entry forms must be signed. Unsigned entry forms do not constitute a valid entry. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Entries cannot be accepted, canceled, altered or substituted after the entries have closed, except as provided in the Agility Regulations (Chapter 1, Section 13). Declination of entries: Ouachita Valley Dog Training Club, Inc. may decline any entry for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog due to aggression, disease, deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog's physical or mental performance. No one shall have any claim or recourse against Ouachita Valley Dog Training Club, Inc. or any official thereof. Bitches in season are not permitted in trial. Total entry, less $5.00 for each day, will be refunded for bitches coming into season after the closing date provided a veterinarians statement is presented at least 30 minutes prior to the start of judging each day. Dogs shall not be eligible to participate in more than one class in an AKC licensed or member club Agility Trial. This club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC entry form for this event. Errors on entry forms: Owners are responsible for all errors made in completing the entry forms, whomever may have made such errors. No entry will be refunded in the event of such error or cancellation of entry after the closing date. Please write legibly on entry forms and include all necessary information. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. A collection fee of $35 will be added to the amount of each returned check. Checks will be deposited on receipt. No checks will be held. No exceptions. Please note: Exhibitors who have checks returned, may be placed on a cash only basis for all future OVDTC trials. Failure to settle NSF fees and charges with OVDTC may lead to declination of entries for all future OVDTC trials. Judges are not required to wait for dogs. They will adhere as closely as possible to the Judging schedule. The owner or handler of each dog is solely responsible for having the dog ready at ringside when it's class it is to be judged. The club and/or Trial Secretary have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not at the ring when required. Exhibitors must adhere to and be governed by any rules or regulations of civil authorities, building and parking restrictions. Items of interest to competitors: This is an outdoor arena. Height cards do not have to be submitted with entry. The entry form has a section at the top for handlers to designate whether their dog has a height card or if they need to be measured. 24 weaves will be used in all classes Food and drink are allowed at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center but no concessions will be available. Several restaurants and fast food places are within close proximity to the arena Our next trial will be June 24-27, 2010 at the Ike Hamilton Expo Center in the indoor arena..

4 HOTELS AND MOTELS THAT ACCEPT DOG Since hotel policies are subject to change, please be sure to inquire about current policies when making reservations. All hotels are within 3 minutes of the Ike Hamilton Expo Center. Motel Constitution Drive All hotels have requested that no dogs be allowed on the elevator. Anyone found to be in violation of this policy will be reported to AKC for conduct prejudicial to the sport. I-20 EAST (From Shreveport) DIRECTIONS TO THE TRIAL SITE I-20 exit #113 (Downing Pines Rd). Cross over the interstate. The Ike is the large facility to the right. The outdoor arena is to the right if you are facing the Expo Center. I-20 WEST (From Vicksburg) -20 Exit #113 (Downing Pines Rd). At the stop sign, take a left. The Ike is the large facility immediately on your right. The outdoor arena is to the right if you are facing the Expo Center. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this Trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused or barred from competition by the action of the Trial Committee. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. No entry fees will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Handlers may opt to run in a higher height division, but not in a division lower than their proper height division. Move-Ups Dogs may be moved up to a higher class at the request of the owner as a result of qualifying for an agility title, provided that the request is made to the Trial Secretary in writing not later than 6:00 PM on Monday, March 1, 2010 as stated in the "Regulations for Agility Trials", Chapter 1, Section 12. Day to Day Move-Ups will be allowed as long as written request are made to the Trial Secretary no later than 15 minutes after the last dog runs. Course Familiarization and Warm-ups There will be no obstacle familiarization at this trial. Handlers will be permitted to walk the course without the dog prior to the start of each class. The walk through is restricted to handlers entered only in the class. A warm up area, consisting of a regulation agility jump, shall be provided for all exhibitors. Exhibitor Information Please have your dog on lead or crated unless you are on the course. It is the owner/handler's responsibility to maintain control of his/her dog. There will be seating available at the Trial venue. Please feel free to bring your own chairs. Crating and competition will be inside, on loosely packed dirt. Tarps may be used in the crating area. X-pens may be used. The trial committee reserves the right to move or remove any crates, x-pens, chairs, etc., that are placed prior to the scheduled set up time. NO dogs may be left overnight. There will be NO security present after trial hours. All entries sent overnight or express mail must have the signature requirement waived. Please clean up after your dog at both the Trial venue and the hotel. Any exhibitor failing to do so SHALL be reported to AKC for conduct prejudicial to the sport. Hotels, motels and campsites are considered extensions of the show site. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians' recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations.

All dogs that have not been officially measured for an Agility Jump Height Card may still compete; however, they must be measured by a Judge of record, an Agility Field Representative, or a Volunteer Measuring Official, prior to running. If measured by the Judge of record, that measurement will be valid for this trial or back-to-back trials only. If a measurement is necessary, it is the exhibitor's responsibility to have their dog(s) measured prior to running. Mixed breed classes may only be offered at standalone all-breed AKC agility trials. A standalone agility event is defined as an agility trial that is not held on the same date and show site as an AKC All-Breed Dog Show or Independent Specialty for conformation. Junior Handlers should enter their Junior Handler number on the front of this form.
