2 Hi, my name is Princess Daisy (A032053) and I m the pretty Walker Hound on the cover! I ve been at Pender County Animal Shelter since November 2018 and I just can t understand why! I m a gentle, quiet, sweet and clean girl who will be a great family member. I m only 2-years-old, spayed and vaccinated. I get along with other dogs and I didn t mind the cat who appeared out of nowhere at the photo shoot. I am heartworm positive, so adopting me will literally save my life! In return, you ll gain a devoted friend and surely generate some great Karma. My friends at Monty s Home brought me to the photo shoot because they love to help dogs like me. In fact, they hold a Pet Expo each year which benefits their rescue programs. Pender County Animal Shelter, where I come from, is one of the places where they rescue dogs. 5 Hi, I m Amber! I m 1½-years-old and weigh 40 pounds - I m very tiny. I have 2 fur sisters and 3 fur brothers and I m the smallest out of them all. My fur brother and I are the only ones with an underbite which mommy finds adorable. I love to play with my fur brother, Bear, and fur sister, Daisy, (she's adopta-bull, too). I'm kind of shy but I m getting over my fears. I really love giving kisses and will groom you to make sure you're clean - who knows what dogs you touched while you left me at home. 14 URGENT, URGENT! My Time Is Running Out! Hard to believe a gorgeous girl like me is still waiting for a family at the shelter, but it s true! Glenda Eason - Century 21 Sweyer (910) Hello there! My name is Ranger and I have quite a story to tell. It all began one stormy night when I was found on the side of the road in the pouring rain. My rescuer asked Pender Humane Society for help and, of course, they said yes! At the vet s office it was discovered that I had severe skin issues, infected ears and heartworms. I weighed only 45 pounds, which is about 20 pounds underweight. Fast forward to today and my ears are healed, my hair has grown back, I ve gained weight and I m heartworm free! I m learning commands and having so much fun with my toys. I m timid around new people, though, so I hope my future family will give me lots of love and patience and time to thrive and grow.
