3 You will save a life When you adopt a rabbit you don t just save one, you also save a new rabbit. But adopting, you are opening a space for another rabbit to be saved. Large shelters don t have the space for rabbits and will either euthanize them, or not accept any new intakes. There are a lot of domestic rabbits whose owners have released them to the outdoors because they had no other option. Domestic rabbits often don t survive outdoors. You ll get a healthy pet All rabbits at Hoppy Hearts have a physical exam done by a veterinarian, they are spayed and neutered, and we know their temperaments and will make sure that we match you up with the rabbit that matches your lifestyle and experience. You ll save money Adopting is a bargin! Hoppy Hearts has built strong relationships with our veterinarians and they offer us special rates to keep them all hoppy and healthy! All the rabbits are spayed/neutered and vet checked prior to adoption. The adoption fee covers their medical expenses, and I bet your buttons that you can t find a regular veterinary clinic to match those numbers! You won t be supporting breeders or pet stores Breeders and pet stores put profit before the welfare of any animal. Often times the rabbits are very sick. They don t receive proper socialization or exercise, and it shows. A lot of people see that cute bunny and buy one on impulse not realizing their needs, lifespan or behaviors. A lot of those rabbits end up being re-homed or surrendered.

4 Compete an Adoption Form All applications will be considered. The best application gets to move forward, not the first. Further questions may be asked to clarify your responses on the application. We will contact your veterinary clinic for a quick reference. Meet and Greet Depending on the rabbit, location and situation... some meet and greets will be held in my home, others will be done at the applicants home (if done at your home, that would cover the home check portion of this adoption process). This is your opportunity to meet the rabbit you have applied for to ensure that it is the right fit. Home Check Home checks are done to ensure suitable living conditions for the rabbit and a chance for you and me to talk further about the rabbit you are applying for. If you have a rabbit already and are trying to find them a suitable companion, this is a great opportunity for them to meet. Adoption Agreement and Fee Congratulations! You are the right fit for the rabbit(s) you have applied for. This agreement is to ensure that the best care is given to the rabbit for the rest of their lives. The fee is only accepted in cash form and is non-negotiable. This fee covers the cost of spay or neuter.

5 I agree to pay the $85 (or $130 for a bonded pair) adoption fee and understand that it is nonrefundable I agree to take my new rabbit to the vet within one month of the adoption day I agree to contact HHRR and show proof of a vet visit and check up I understand that there is no health guarantee and that any further veterinary costs will be at my own expense I will not allow my rabbit near another of the opposite sex until a minimum of 6wks after spay/neuter I understand that HHRR cannot guarantee the temperament of any rabbit, as rabbits can react to new places, people and situations differently I agree that if I am no longer able to care for this rabbit, that I will contact HHRR and bring them back into the rescue s care I agree to provide sufficient housing, diet, exercise and love to my rabbit I understand that these rabbits are house pets, and are only to be housed indoors If it is found that any terms are broken, Hoppy Hearts Rabbit Rescue has the right to re-claim the rabbit.

7 Age: 1 year Sex: Spayed Females Breed: Dwarf Cross Medical Treatments/Conditions: Spay Flash has earned her name by being as quick as lightening! This tiny girl and her friend Mopsy need to have a large living area so they can zoom around to their hearts content! They love nothing more than snuggling up with each other! Mopsy is not as outgoing as Flash, but makes up for it with her sweet and docile temperament.

8 Age: 2 years Sex: Spayed Females Breed: Lionhead cross Medical Treatments/Conditions: Spay Zoe (white with black) and Kloee (white with brown) are two sisters who like nothing better than to hang out in their pink rabbit (doll) house. They prefer to stretch their legs in a pen setting incorporating their own personal spacing. These girl require an x-pen or larger for housing, as they tend to become territorial in smaller spaces. They behave very well together when a larger area is provided. They are very curious and love to be watched more than held. They are still learning that humans are not all big and scary. The little pink house can go with these girls when they are adopted.

9 Age: 1 year Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Dutch mix Medical Treatments/Conditions: Previously had head tilt (cause unknown), neuter Despite the rough start in life, Pebz is a very sweet and handsome young boy! He is very busy and playful, and his antics will keep you smiling. He is a social butterfly who loves to be with his people and animal friends. Pebz is extremely high energy and requires a lot of place space, toys/games to keep his mind busy, and another companion for him would be greatly beneficial. Pebz also needs someone who will take the time to patiently teach him litter manners when he has access to larger areas.

10 Age: 1 year Sex: Spayed Female Breed: New Zealand Medical Treatments/Conditions: None This feisty lady has a lot of energy! She was purchased by a veterinary college who used her for handling technique practice. She was never used for any testing. Peach is high energy and really needs a lot of space so she can bound around to her heart s content. She does not like being penned or caged and will make it a point to let you know her displeasure about it. She s been known to hop a 24 high xpen and move it around the house trying to escape. Peach would greatly benefit from free-roam or a spare bedroom for housing. She will do great with a family that really likes to have a rabbit with a lot of spunk. She is shy and skittish at first, but with time, she will warm up and be a fun friend.

11 Age: Approx 3 years Sex: Female Breed: Double Maned Lionhead Medical Treatments/Conditions: Spayed Stardust is a shy but curious rabbit. She is currently learning to be more social with people at her foster home but has been very friendly towards her foster family's dogs. She is not sure about being petted yet and is very cautious with humans. Stardust currently needs special consideration from a potential furever home because she is still unsure of people. She has an adventurous spirit just waiting to come out though. She enjoys exploring her surroundings and chewing her wicker toys. Stardust would make a wonderful addition to any family that will respect her space and has the time to teach her that humans make excellent servants.

12 Age: approx 5-6 years old Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Flemish Giant Cross Medical Treatments/Conditions: Emergency spay to remove cancerous uterus Percy is extremely inquisitive about the world around her. She likes to do things her way and will let you know if you're interfering too much. She happily greets you for her breakfast and dinner, enjoys eating her greens and of course her treats. She is pretty good at convincing you that she should get a few extra as well.

13 Age: 1 year Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Mini Rex Medical Treatments/Conditions: Neutered Ronan is a very fun little guy who loves being where the action is. He adores attention and is as soft as velvet! Ronan can feel threatened when you reach into his cage and can be slightly food aggressive, but 90% of the time this plushy boy is a total doll!

14 Age: 2-3 years Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Dwarf mix Medical Treatments/Conditions: Treated for EC and inner ear infection, residual head tilt still present Pippin is the sweetest little munchkin you will ever meet; he loves everything and everyone! Pippin would more than adore a wife bun to spend his days cuddled up beside. He is very happy-go-lucky, and always on the move. This busy and curious little fart would do best in an xpen or spare bedroom to help him wear off his energy. Due to his head tilt, his perception of the world is a bit off, and for his safety needs to stay on 1 level surfaces and avoid stairs. Pippin will require semi-annual treatments to prevent his inner ear infection from reoccurring. It is very important that he is seen by a rabbit savvy vet (the one he is seeing presently is highly recommended).
