At the end of the day he had caught a total of 7802 lethal cobras. He gave 1933 cobras to his toothless granny to make snake soup for herself. The remaining cobras were terrified of being eaten so some escaped. The number of cobras that escaped was 708 more than the number in Granny's possession. How many cobras did Abdul have after that? Math Problem 2 Three rats made such a ruckus one night in Eric's bedroom that he killed them with his shotgun. Eric woke up in the morning to see the rats' bloated bodies ridden with disgusting maggots. Eric eagerly brought out his magnifying glass and counted the maggots. He counted a total of 5159 maggots. The brown rat had 1241 maggots. The black rat had 1825 more maggots than the brown rat. How many maggots did the white rat have?
2 Math Problem 3 Bigfoot climbed a candy tree and plucked altogether 7317 peppermint sticks. He ate 202 peppermint sticks while sitting on a branch. He put the rest in his pocket and went back home. When he reached home he found that quite a lot of peppermint sticks had ants swarming all over them. In fact the number of peppermint sticks with ants on them was 2986 more than the number he had eaten earlier. He threw away the ant covered candies in disgust and gave away the rest to his best friend. How many peppermint sticks did he give his best friend? Math Problem 4 I was walking in a field one day. A UFO suddenly landed next to me. Some aliens scurried out of the UFO, grabbed me and hauled me into the UFO. The aliens took me to their home planet. When I arrived there, I had to shake hands with hairy aliens, bald aliens and headless aliens. I shook hands with altogether 7922 aliens of them were hairy. There were 2424 more bald aliens than hairy aliens. How many headless aliens did I shake hands with?
3 Math Problem 5 Mark and Todd were playing a special kind of baseball. Mark had to bat the vegetables that Todd threw at him. Mark skillfully batted altogether 9696 tomatoes, potatoes, onions and carrots of them were tomatoes and potatoes? a) How many were onions and carrots? b) If he batted 101 more onions than carrots, how many onions did he bat? Math Problem 6 Gary Ghoul grinned in delight when an obese body was buried in a cemetery yesterday. He dug up the body and chopped it up with his carving knife. He had 9540 pieces of meat after that. He put them into a plastic bag and took them home. He made shish kebab and spicy curry with 1721 pieces of meat. He used the rest for pizza and spaghetti. a) How many pieces of meat did he use for the pizza and spaghetti? b) If there were 619 more pieces of meat in the pizza than the spaghetti, how many pieces went into the spaghetti?
4 Math Problem 7 Mama Cavewoman had 6 mouths to feed but her husband was too lazy to hunt for the family. So brave Mama Cavewoman took her club with her to hunt some game. At the end of the day, she had caught altogether 5341 Diplodocuses, Yangchuanasauruses, Smilodons and Velociraptors. She caught 2396 Diplodocuses and Yangchuanasauruses. a) How many Smilodons and Velociraptors did she catch? b) If she caught 1547 more Velociraptors than Smilodons, how many Velociraptors did she catch? Math Problem 8 My friend told me that there were some friendly fish in the sea that loved to scratch people's backs. I put on my scuba-diving gear and plunged into the sea. I was immediately surrounded by 8997 parrotfish, goatfish, lionfish and seahorses. They proceeded to give me a very good scratch with their sharp teeth. There were 817 parrotfish and goatfish. a) How many lionfish and seahorses were there? b) If there were 1936 more seahorses than lionfish, how many seahorses were giving me a good scratch?

If each paintbrush cost $4 less than the water color set, how much did the watercolor set cost? Math Problem 10 Witch Wilda wanted to make a potion to kill her neighbor. She bought 6 toads' eyes and a shrunken head from Wizard Wilfred. She paid him a total of $77. If each toad's eye cost $28 less than the shrunken head, how much did the shrunken head cost?
6 Math Problem 11 Sally wanted to collect as much candy as possible during Halloween. She bought 8 bloodhounds and a huge mastiff from a pet shop. On Halloween night, they accompanied her with baskets in their mouths while she went trick or treating. She collected lots of candy that day. She paid a total of $205 for the dogs. If each bloodhound cost $97 less than the mastiff, how much did the mastiff cost? Math Problem 12 Tina Troll entered MadDonald's and ordered 2 fried crocodiles and 5 spicy fairies. She paid a total of $171 for her delicious dinner. If each spicy fairy cost $47 less than each fried crocodile, how much did each fried crocodile cost?
7 Math Problem 13 I used to go to school by bicycle until it crashed into a tree and was totally destroyed. So I went to a pet shop and bought 4 giraffes and 2 saddles. I paid the cashier $48. If each saddle cost twice as much as each giraffe, how much did each saddle cost? Math Problem 14 My granny entered a haunted castle and caught 5 wicked werewolves and 2 groaning ghosts. She sold them to a cross-eyed witch for a total of $88. If each ghost cost thrice as much as each werewolf, how much did my glorious granny sell each ghost for?
8 Math Problem 15 Sam was ecstatic when his grouchy grandpa died. He hired a marching band to whip up some cool tunes during his grandpa's funeral. The marching band consisted of 2 drummers and 3 trumpeters. Sam paid a total of $55 to the marching band. The trumpeters received thrice as much as the drummers because they blew their eyes out. How much money did each trumpeter receive? Math Problem 16 Tooka the toilet burglar stole 4 toilets and 2 urinals from a shopping mall. He washed them carefully and sold them two days later to a delighted Dooka. Dooka paid him a total of $84. Each urinal cost 4 times as much as each toilet because they were gold plated. How much did Dooka pay for each urinal?
9 Math Problem 17 There were 156 knights sleeping in King Arthur's castle while 258 knights were wrestling with bears in the field outside. When a flying dragon roared, some sleeping knights woke up and ran out in alarm. After that, there were 262 more knights outside than inside the castle. How many knights ran out? Math Problem 18 I have a cute poodle and a mangy bulldog which hated to bathe. My poodle had only 25 fleas but my bulldog had 354 fleas. One day my bulldog fell into a latrine. A large number of fleas on the bulldog fled to the poodle for they couldn't stand the smell. After that, there were 253 fewer fleas on the bulldog than the poodle. How many fleas left the bulldog?

When it began to rain, some of the monkeys in the race cars clambered up the tree. After that, there were 9 more monkeys in the race cars than in the tree. John had 246 leeches while Jim had 538 leeches. They also realized that the leeches were very tasty if they were salted. The boys pulled out the leeches from their legs and divided the delicious leeches between themselves. Finally John had 392 more leeches than Jim. John was greedier than Jim.
