Saturday, March 17th, St. Patrick s Day was a lucky day for LTCH! Graduation was held for the Winter Obedience and Rally classes. Please see pages 2 & 3 for photos (courtesy of Barbara Kealoha) of all winners. Congratulations!!!! MAHALO!!! The club wishes to extend its sincere appreciation to Alvin Sunahara. Alvin designed and constructed a set of the Mercedes Benz of all Rally sign holders. These incredible sign holders seem impervious to the wind! Without Alvin s hard work, the club would have been unable to afford new sign holders, which commercially cost up to $80 each. Thank you, Alvin!

4 MEMBER SPOTLIGHT NAME? Minori Inoue PROFESSION? Photographer HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A MEMBER OF LTCH? Since August of In February of that year, I had purchased my first dog, and I was simply looking for a good Puppy Obedience class. HOW MANY DOGS DO YOU OWN? Three -- two Shelties and one mixed-breed. WHAT TITLES HAVE YOU AND YOUR DOGS EARNED? Tommy ( Tristar s Prestige ): CD, CDX, & UD. Jace ( Tristar Jace ): NA & NAJ WHAT IS YOUR PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT AS A DOG OWNER? Besides all of the AKC titles that we have earned, I am always proud that my dogs behave very well in public. This is a result of many hours of training and the strong bonds between my dogs and me. WHAT TRAINING ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR NEW HANDLERS? Please have a lot of fun and be creative! Find the best way for you and your dog to train together; after all, you know your dog best. Training is a journey for you and your dog to share every day of your lives together! WHAT IS THE MOST UNUSUAL THING YOU VE TAUGHT A DOG TO DO? I don t need to teach unusual things to my dogs. They do it on their own everyday and crack me up! IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU D LIKE TO SAY? I really enjoy being a member of LTCH, which is the best obedience club in Hawaii. I have met such wonderful people and their wonderful dogs. I d like to thank you all for your friendship. My dogs and I always look forward to Saturday mornings!
