3 SCWTCA HOST HOTEL DOUBLETREE HOTEL 301 West Dekalb Pike, King of Prussia PA DoubleTree Hotel is the site of SCWTCA s evening events throughout the weekend. SCWTCA Group Rate opened in January 2015 and booked up fast. Here is the link to try and see if there are any rooms available, though it is believed to be all booked at this point. For SCWTCA rate, use Group Code SCW for $132 + tax If you find you won t need a previously reserved room, please try to coordinate with other club members. 4 THE POOP SCOOP POOP happens and cleaning it up is absolutely MANDATORY!!! Everyone who owns a dog or is responsible for one, either at the show site or at the hotel is responsible for cleaning up after their dog. Dog waste contaminates the ground and could spread disease. Cleaning up immediately helps to stop that threat. It also makes us better clients and in turn makes the management of the hotel and of the show sites more inclined to invite us back. We are privileged to be in such a fine facility. Don t be the one who is above the rules and causes hard feeling. Be responsible! SCWTCA has designated all venues, including the Hotel as part of the Show Site, and SCWTCA can and will hold a bench show hearing, which can result in an AKC suspension and fine. We do not want to recruit club members to act as police trying to catch you doing the wrong thing. Do the right thing every time and we all benefit! SCWTCA HOTEL RESPONSIBILITIES Use extreme care when moving dogs and equipment. Damage of any kind is unacceptable and your responsibility. Respect for hotel property and staff will be shown at all times. Exercise your dogs only in the designated exercise areas on the hotel property and be mindful of where your dog lifts its leg. It should not be on shrubbery or hotel walls. Owners will immediately clean up after their own dogs. The grounds committee provides supplies for cleanup. If you see that others have not cleaned up, pitch in and clean up. Containers will be at each end of the hall. Use the materials provided! Dogs must be crated when left unattended in the room. Repeated or continual barking of dogs in rooms will not be allowed. Place a piece of plastic underneath dog crates if you travel with metal crates. Monitor dogs carefully when in the public areas inside and outside of the hotel. Do not loiter in the hallways or lobby with dogs. Congregate with your dogs in the designated exercise areas. NO hotel towels may be used to bathe dogs. If you plan to bathe dogs, bring your own towels. Bring sheets to cover hotel beds and furniture. Do not plan to trim dogs in hotel rooms unless you bring a sheet to cover the floor and a dust buster to clean up the hair. Any damages caused to rooms will be the financial responsibility of the individuals who occupied that room. PLEASE NOTE: No dogs allowed in bar/restaurant area or pool area. The SCWTCA Board of Directors outlines these rules. The event headquarters is an official part of an AKC Event. Any infringement of these rules or improper conduct can result in an Event Committee Hearing and loss of AKC privileges. rev page 4
