From I-76: Take exit 328A for US-202 S/US-422 W/ Swedesford Rd toward W Chester/Pottstown. The show site is in the Whiteland Business Park on Route 30 between Ship Road and the Route 202 / Route 30 Bypass Interchange. Turn into the business park at the traffic light onto Springdale Drive. It will be the first building on the left. The entrance faces Springdale Drive. Look for the black awning above the door. Parking is available in the lot across from the front entrance and along both sides of the building. Hope Veterinary Specialists will be on the right side. Exhibitors should follow veterinary recommendations and ensure dogs are free of internal and external parasites, communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. 7 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Classification of Classes The following regular specialty classes will be divided by sex: Puppy, 6 months & under 9 months Puppy, 9 months & under 12 months 12 months and under 18 months Amateur Owner Handler *Bred by Exhibitor American Bred Open Winners Veterans * Dogs entered in the Bred-By Classes must be individually registered with the AKC; the person handling the dog must be a breeder and owner of record of the dog. Family members can only handle the dog, if they are registered as a breeder and owner of record. Points for Reserve The Berger Picard Club of America will award at its National Specialty a three point major to Reserve Winners Dog/Winners Bitch if the Regular Class Dog entry is twice the required number for a five point major in the division where the National Specialty is held. First offered in 2013 by Patty Newgard and Jacqueline Carswell of Carnasserie Kennels, this beautiful 12 inch silver plated Georgian Cup rests on a six inch cherry wood base. The Challenge Trophy is National Specialty Winner s trophy for the Berger Picard Club of America. Each year the name of the Best of Breed of the BPCA National Specialty along with the name of his/her owner(s) will be engraved on an individual plate attached to one of the three sides. For permanent possession, this trophy has to be won three times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog or at consecutive shows. Otherwise the trophy remains in the club s possession until its retirement. A picture frame memento trophy is offered by the club president.

8 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Classification of Sweepstakes Classes Puppy Sweepstakes Classification (Classes for Dogs and Bitches) 6 months and under 9 months 9 months and under 12 months 12 months and under 15 months 15 months and under 18 months Winners of each class will compete for Best In Puppy Sweepstakes and Best Opposite Sex to Best In Puppy Sweepstakes Veteran Sweepstakes Classification (Classes for Dogs & Bitches) 7 years and older Winners of each class will compete for Best In Veteran Sweepstakes and Best Opposite Sex to Best In Veteran Sweepstakes. Division of Entry Money as Prizes for Puppy and Veteran Sweepstakes The club will retain 35% of the Sweepstakes entry for expenses. The remainder will be divided as follows: First in each class-40% Second in each class-30% Third in each class-20% Fourth in each class-10% All cash prizes will be awarded in the ring at the completion of judging. Any unclaimed prizes will revert back to the club. None will be mailed.
