NOTICE TO ALL EXHIBITORS Rules Applying to Dog Shows Effective January 1, 2010 No dog shall be exhibited in a licensed or member dog show, except for dogs entered in the Miscellaneous Class unless it is either individually registered in the AKC Stud Book, or individually registered with a foreign registry organization whose pedigrees are acceptable for AKC registration. See for complete detail of the rule change. Breed Classes Regular Classes: (Same Classes for Bitches) Puppy Dog 6 mos & under 9 mos Bred By Exhibitor Dog Puppy Dog 9 mos & under 12 mos American Bred Dog Junior Dog 12 mos & under 18 mos Open Dog Winners Dog NOTE: NO NOVICE NOR AMATEUR/OWNER CLASSES OFFERED Best of Breed Competition Best Puppy In Show Best Bred by Exhibitor In Show Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries Stud Dog Class - For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of the Stud Dog need not be the owner of the Get. Stud Dog to be judged based only on the merits of the Get. The regular fee schedule will apply to the Stud Dog. Get must be entered in another class at the regular fee schedule, but there will be no additional fee for the Get in the Stud Dog Class. No one of the dogs making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. Brood Bitch Class - Same as Stud Dog, except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. All dogs entered in Sweepstakes must also be entered in a Regular Class. Sweepstakes will be judged prior to the Regular Classes. Indicate your Sweepstakes Class with the age division in the space provided for "Additional Class". Entry fee is $ Champions of Record are not eligible. The following classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches in each variety. Puppy Dogs - 6 mos. & under 8 mos. Puppy Dogs - 8 mos. & under 10 mos. Puppy Dogs - 10 mos. & under 12 mos. (Same classes for Bitches) Prize Money 35% of total entry fees will be retained by the Club for expenses. The remainder will be divided as follows: First...40% Third...20% Second...30% Fourth...10% Class Cash Prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. All Purina Awards, if not presented in the ring, must be picked up during the event at the Purina Booth. Presentation of the winning ribbon is required. Purina reserves the right to make award substitution of equal or greater value if listed award is not available. Get Together After judging the club will offer sandwiches at ringside for all Shih Tzu exhibitors, club members & guests. Please join us & visit with your fellow Shih Tzu lovers. 4 Fanciers of Central Florida Fax Entries: Both sides of the entry form must be faxed. Visa/Master Card number and expiration date, as well as the printed cardholder's name must be included. Fax entries must be received by the closing hour and date. Fax fee: $4.00 per entry in addition to entry fee. On-Line Entries can be taken at On-Line Fee: $4.00 per entry in addition to entry fee. Telephone, telegraph and unsigned entries CANNOT be accepted. Entry fee shall not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a Veterinarian or Judge, or barred. Canadian exhibitors must make fees payable in US funds. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and photocopies of the entry without the Agreement and Rules from the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Errors on Entry Blanks: Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. Show-giving Club, Show Secretary, their agents, employees, etc. assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or any of their dogs, or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children under the control of parents or guardians. A recording fee of 50 cents and an event fee of $3.00 will be required for each dog entered at any licensed or Member Club, Show, Obedience Trial, or Tracking Test. This fee is to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to AKC. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the fee is collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 14, Section 2) All dogs must be held on leash except when in the exercise area or crated. Grooming is indoors. Exhibitors are responsible for clean conditions in and around their crates and grooming areas. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. No entry shall be made or accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. Judging schedule and map to the show site will be mailed as soon as possible after the closing of entries. If an entry in the regular puppy classes is awarded Best of Breed or Best of Winners it will automatically be Best Puppy. Don t Forget the Central Florida Kennel Club, Space Coast Kennel Club & Brevard Kennel Club shows June Same Site MB-F - Superintendent Raffle The Shih Tzu Fanciers will be holding a raffle immediately following judging. Proceeds to benefit Florida Rescue & the General Fund. If you have something you would like to contribute - Please bring your donations to Doris Kartub IF IT IS NECESSARY TO RESCUE A DOG from a parked vehicle on the show grounds, the Clubs will not be responsible or liable for any damage to the vehicle involved. Accommodations See Brevard/Central Florida/Space Coast Premium list for a list of hotels. Exhibitors, in order to assure the use of these hotel-motels again, please clean your room & pick up the grounds after your dogs. Any motel-hotel damage reported to the Show Committee & to have been substantiated by the Show Committee will be dealt with by a Show Committee. Gate Info: East gate will open at 9 AM Thursday, June 21, 2012 for RV parking ONLY. RV Info: RV Parking will be allowed Wed, June 20th 7 PM -10 PM, no building access; then Thurs, June 21, at 8 AM - 10 PM, no exceptions. Grooming Info: Grooming will open at 9 AM on Thursday, June 21, 2012 in Main & New Buildings. Entrance for unloading in the Main Building is through the walk-thru gate on the east end. You park outside gate & unload through this gate only. For New Building grooming - you will be directed to a designated unloading area inside the gate. There will be reserved grooming in the Main Building & part of the Commercial Building for those wishing to reserve space see Brevard/Central Florida/Space Coast Premium list for reservation information. 7 8

From North Turnpike - Take the 408 (East-West Expressway) to Kirkman Rd exit, go left on Kirkman to Colonial Dr (Hwy 50) turn right, go to Fairgrounds on the left. From South - From I-4 get off at Kirkman Rd (435) exit (This is a left lane exit); go north on Kirkman to Colonial Dr; go right to Fairgrounds. From South Turnpike - Get off at west bound I-4; go west to Kirkman (435) exit; go right on Kirkman to Colonial Dr., turn right to Fairgrounds.
