Study of pathological changes and bacterial isolation lungs of wild rats in Baghdad area M. J. Alwan B.Al-kaissy M.S. Abaas Abstract To study the pathological lesions in the lungs of wild rats which naturally occurring, as well as bacterial isolates associated with these lesions, brown rats were collected from various quarters of Baghdad city during the period //00 to //00.The results revealed that 0 of rats were suffering from lung lesions. Eight bacterial species were isolated.these included Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Corynebacterium pyogens, E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebisella spp, Streptococcus pyogens, Proteus spp and Diplococcus pneumonia.aspergillus fumigatus was isolated in mixed infection with Klebisella spp. Histological examination revealed six types of pneumonic lesions included lung abscess, pyogranulomatous pneumonia, subacute suppurative bronchopneumonia, Mycotic pneumonia, acute fibrinous pneumonia and sub acute interstitial pneumonia.
