1 Axstane Agility Club Show 16 and 17 June 2018 Welcome to our 2018 Show the showground will open at 7.30 am. Please note we will not be able to make tannoy announcements until 8.30 am. Notices will be put up on the ring boards to advise when the first courses of the day are ready for walking, so please keep an eye on your ring(s) - Judges briefings for these classes will usually be at the ringside. Remember to bring a radio and tune in to 88 FM to listen to announcements in your car or caravan. There will be security on the gate during the day but the public can still access the Showground so we are not totally secure. Vehicle entry to the Showground will strictly be by displaying the envelope in which your running orders have been sent, or the downloadable running orders from ASO. No envelope / pass, no access! Once competition for the day is over, the gates to the showground will be locked (the code will be 1617 (16 and 17 June). Please do not leave the gate unlocked for ANY reason. You can enter / exit on foot at the corner of the showground. Please park, as directed, in the designated areas or within your camping space i.e. do not block roadways or the spaces between camping units. Emergency vehicles must be able to access all areas. The speed limit on site is 5 mph (walking pace) please drive carefully, anyone seen driving too fast will be asked to leave the showground. Camping There will be no camping before 3pm on Friday without prior arrangement with the Show Secretary. Please arrive before 9pm on Friday and vacate the showground by 7pm on Sunday. The camping rows immediately around the rings are reserved for judges. Prearranged ring party will have reserved pitches. Some spaces have been reserved near the toilets and showers for those in tents. All camping units must have a means of extinguishing fire in the form of a fire extinguisher or a bucket of water. Any barbeques must be raised off the ground by at least 12 inches/30 cms approximately. The elsan tanks near the gate are for disposal of toilet waste only do not use them for grey water waste Competitors generators may only be used between 9am and 9pm and please be considerate to your neighbours regarding both noise and fumes when you site the generator. Please remember it can be very hot at this time of year and vehicles heat up extremely quickly putting your dogs at severe risk. Please make sure your vehicle is shaded at all times, that there is plenty of ventilation in the vehicle and that your dogs have access to water and check your dogs regularly. If it is necessary, we will use force to remove any animal in distress from your vehicle.

2 Axstane Agility Club Show 16 and 17 June 2018 The exercise area is at the end of the showground behind the marquee (be aware that at the other end of the showground the fencing is not secure and dogs could get through the hedge and onto the A13). Following a complaint from the owners of the showground, dogs are not to be exercised on the playing fields next door (Rule 39 of Schedule). Measuring There will be measuring on Saturday and Sunday, at lunchtime. Please book in at the marquee on the day (after 10 am). You will have to pay a fee of 4 and you must have a completed Kennel Club Agility Record book before your dog can be measured. A small supply of these books will be available at the show (cost 1.50). You will need to provide your dog s Kennel Club Name/Registration Number (from either the Breed or Activity register) as well as a means of identification (microchip number). Toilets and Showers The toilets and showers are situated against the hedge on the right side of the rings, looking from the marquee. An orange flag will be flying above to indicate their location. There is also a portaloo near the gate. General Axstane show will be holding an Area Liaison Council meeting to be hosted by Simon Chandler at 7pm on Saturday 16 June in the marquee. Due to this meeting we will not be holding the Bingo this year. Please bring a copy of the agenda with you to the meeting. They can be downloaded here: Local 24 hour taxi firms are Intacab or Abbatrans In the event of an emergency you can ring the show mobile and Axstane Committee members will be camped immediately behind the marquee. We would emphasise this is in case of an emergency only. The nearest main Accident & Emergency Hospital is Basildon University Hospital, Nethermayne, Basildon, Essex. SS16 5NL.
