4 RULES AND REGULATIONS Dog Agility is a competitive and physically strenuous activity. It is the responsibility of the owner / handler to ensure their dog is 'fit for function' and that they themselves are fit to take part. By signing the entry form you confirm that to the best of your knowledge your dog is fit and able to take part in Agility classes on the day of the show. For sponsored classes or qualifiers, please read the relevant rules as they may differ from those below. 1. Dogs entered at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows must be registered at the Kennel Club in accordance with Kennel Club Regulations for Classification and Registration B, or else registration or transfer of registration must have been applied for. The registration number/ authority to compete (ATC) number will be required for each entry. 2. All dogs registered and resident outside the UK must be issued with a Kennel Club Authority to Compete (ATC) number before entry to the show/event can be made. All overseas entries without a Kennel Club Registration number or an Authority to Compete number will be returned to the exhibitor/competitor. 3. Entry fees: 3.00 per dog per class. Teams per Team. Camping fees: for the weekend (Friday 9 th and Saturday 10 th ). 4. No Prize Money is on offer. 5. Entries must be made on the official form or a photocopy thereof. Internet entries will be accepted via 6. The Committee reserves to itself the right to refuse entries. 7. Only dogs of 18 calendar months of age and over on the day of competition are eligible for competition at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows. 8. No capping level will be set on entries. 9. A dog must not compete in the same class more than once, including special classes. 10. Not For Competition entries will be accepted for dogs aged four calendar months and over. Dogs must be Kennel Club registered with their details recorded on the entry form. 11. No bitch in season is allowed to compete. 12. The mating of bitches within the precincts of the competition is forbidden. 13. No person shall carry out punitive correction or harsh handling of a dog at any time within the boundaries of the Show. 14. Dogs must not wear any type of slip, half-slip collar or lead when under test. A flat, close fitting, leather or webbing collar is permitted, providing the only attachment is a plain identification panel as an integral part of the collar ie. not attached by a ring. 15. Should a judge be unable to fulfil the appointment to judge the Committee reserves the right to appoint another judge. 16. No competitor shall impugn the decision of the judge or judges. 17. Kennel Club standard marking regulations apply for all standard classes. 18. Courses No practice is allowed on the course save that competitors will be allowed to walk the course set at the height the dog is to negotiate without their dog(s) before the class begins. Hurdles will be raised / lowered during the course walking time if multiple heights are offered within the same class. 19. Obstacles Hurdle-The height of the hurdle must be 650mm (2ft 1.6ins) (550mm (1ft 9.6ins) for Lower Height Option) for Large Dogs, 450mm (1ft 5.7ins) (350mm (1ft 1.75ins) for Lower Height Option) for Medium Dogs and 350mm (1ft 1.75ins) (250mm (9.8ins) for Lower Height Option) for Small Dogs. Width: 1.219m (4ft) minimum. The height of hurdles in special classes may be lower than those listed above, but the height must be included in the schedule 20. The height of hurdles for Any Size and Veteran classes will be 350mm for large dogs and 228mm for small and medium dogs. 21. The height limit for dogs. a. Large Dog classes - For dogs measuring over 430mm (1ft 5ins) at the withers b. Medium Dog classes - For dogs measuring over 350mm (1ft 1.75ins) and measuring 430mm (1ft 5ins) or under at the withers c. Small Dog classes - For dogs measuring 350mm (1ft 1.75ins) or under at the withers 22. Judges at an Agility Show may not enter for competition a dog which is recorded in their ownership or part ownership; or handle a dog at the Show at which they are judging. Dogs may be disqualified if proved to have been handled in the class by the scheduled judge s spouse or immediate family, or resident at the same address as the scheduled judge. 23. Removal of dogs from Competition. Following discussion between the show management and/or a veterinary surgeon, a dog shall be prevented from competing and/or removed from the Show if it is: a) A bitch, which is in season. b) Suffering from any infectious diseases or contagious disease. c) Interfering with the safety or chance of winning of an opponent. d) Of such temperament or so much out of control as to be a danger to the safety of any person or other animal. e) Likely to cause suffering to the dog if it continues competing. The circumstances of such a removal shall be recorded in the competition/show Incident Book and submitted to the Kennel Club. 24. In estimating the number of awards won, all wins up to and including 25 days before the start of the competition, i.e. 16 August 2016, shall be counted when entering for any class. For these purposes a competition shall be defined as all classes covered within the same schedule. In the event that a dog becomes eligible for the next grade at a particular show, after the entry for that show has been sent, it is the competitor s responsibility to notify the show secretary at least 14 days before the date of the show. The dog will then be moved into the appropriate class(es) for the next grade. The dog must be moved into the corresponding number of classes as were entered at the lower grade. If there are fewer or no classes available for the next grade the competitor will be offered a refund of the relevant entry fees. 25. Should circumstances so dictate the Society, in consultation with the Judges, may alter arrangements as necessary. Such changes and the circumstances surrounding them will be reported to the Kennel Club.

5 26. In the event that the show is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, the club/society will refund fees, less reasonably incurred expenses. If the show processor has the provisions to do so, competitors will be refunded in the manner in which they had entered the show, but in any event the society will refund fees within 3 months of the show date to all those who had entered and requested a refund within 1 month of the show date. 27. Except for mobility aids, nothing shall be carried in the hand while the dog is under test and food shall not be given to a dog whilst in the ring. 28. Should the judge deem a re-run is required, any result and/or faults gained in the previous run must be discounted. 29. Separate entry forms must be completed by each owner and must signed by the owner or his authorised agent in accordance with provisions specified thereon. Entry forms must be accompanied by the appropriate fees. 30. Passes are not required to gain entry to the show/showground. 31. Competition of Dogs Suffering from Contagious or Infectious Disease No dogs suffering from infectious or contagious disease or having been exposed to such disease during the period of 21 days prior to the Competition may compete. Competitors infringing the Regulation will be liable to be fined and/or dealt with under Kennel Club Rule A It is the competitor s responsibility to be available for their class and running order. Competitors must run as close to their running order as possible. Failure to do so may be reported to the Kennel Club. 33. Animals in Event a. No animal other than one officially entered shall be brought into the precincts of the event during its continuance, except any dogs registered to assist the disabled, or dogs required for educational or instructional purposes or by permission of the General Committee. b. However, at the discretion of the show society, a dog brought to the show by a spectator may be admitted into the precincts of the dog show, with the proviso that those in charge of the dog sign a declaration confirming the dog is free from disease and that the dog will be kept under proper control at all times. 34. A pay on the day class will be held if time permits. 35. A practice ring may be available to dogs entered for competition at the show, if space allows. This ring must be supervised by a responsible adult with agility knowledge. 36. Welfare of Dogs a. An exhibitor (or competitor) whose dog is entered at a Kennel Club licensed event should take all reasonable steps to ensure the needs of their dog(s) are met, and should not knowingly put their dogs health and welfare at risk by any action, default, omission or otherwise. A breach of this Regulation may be referred to the General Committee for disciplinary action under Kennel Club Rules and Regulations. Blenheim ATC Specific Rules 37. All dogs entered at this show are at the owner s risk. Whilst every care will be taken, the Committee and Organisers will not accept responsibility for loss, damage or injury, however caused to persons, dogs or property at the show. 38. Overpaid entries will NOT be refunded. 39. Strictly NO refunds after the closing date. 40. Competitors must follow the instructions of the Stewards with respect to parking, camping and conduct within the show boundaries and any person directing abuse will be removed from the showground. 41. Goods may NOT be sold within the precincts of the show without prior permission of Blenheim ATC. 42. The Show Organisers (Blenheim ATC) reserves itself the right to refuse entries. 43. Campers must remain within their allocated space and MUST NOT obstruct the roadways. All units must be equipped with their own fire extinguishers and/or bucket of water at the tow bar. 44. Training equipment is not allowed. Any complaints will be dealt with. 45. DOGS ARE NOT TO BE LEFT LOOSE IN GARDEN AREAS OR TETHERED TO VEHICLES WITHOUT BEING ATTENDED. 46. NO MORE THAN 3 DOGS OFF LEAD PER PERSON IN THE EXERCISE AREA. 47. No overnight parking permitted unless a camping space has been booked and paid for and you are within your allocated space. Any persons with vehicles parked overnight, not in accordance with this rule, will be asked to leave the showground. Showground Specific Rules 48. Camping (caravans and tents) on the Showground. No caravan or tent may be sited within 30m of the river or within 50m of a house. 49. The fence boundary near the river must not be removed. 50. Showground facilities for slopping out must be used. Under no circumstances is slopping out to be done in the river. If this is found to have taken place then a fine will be imposed. 51. Only proper toilets are to be used either those provided by the Showground, or hired port-a-loos. 52. Personal radios and stereos should be kept at a volume only audible within 20ft and must not be played after 2200 hours. 53. Any spontaneous party or gathering must be held in an inside venue. Noise must not be heard 200 yards from a building. Doors and windows of the building must be kept shut, save for access and egress. 54. The river bank must not be disturbed. Unaccompanied children are not allowed anywhere near the river bank. 55. All vehicles must observe the speed limit of maximum of 5mph on the Showground. All vehicles driven on the Showground must stay on the roads until as close as possible to the place of camping. 56. Bonfires must not be lit by anyone resident on the Showground. 57. Disposable barbecues must not be lit on the grass unless they are clear of the ground by 1ft to prevent damage to the Showground. Any damage incurred will result in an additional charge. 58. Strictly no camping behind the walled area adjacent pontoon toilets. SPECIAL CLASSES Societies may schedule classes other than those defined above as Special classes. The eligibility for Special classes must be defined by the Society and included in the schedule. The word Special must be included in the title of the class. Where special classes are classified for older and/or inexperienced dogs, the height of the hurdles and the A- ramp, and the length of the long jump, may be reduced below the dimensions specified in these regulations, in which case such dimensions must be included in the class definition in the show schedule.

6 Marking for special classes may deviate from marking for standard classes, but must be specified in the schedule. Wins, places and clear rounds in special classes will not count towards agility warrant points or grade progression at Kennel Club shows. Please note that in all special classes, standard Kennel Club marking will apply. Any Size (Special): Open to all dogs not entered in any other classes over the weekend (other Any Size and Veteran classes excepted). Jumps will be set at 350mm for Large dogs and 228mm for Small and Medium dogs. These classes will not include weaves or a tyre. The course time will be 60 seconds. All heights of dogs will compete against each other over the same course at the dog s applicable jump height with one set of awards. Under special circumstances, a dog may jump lower than its usual height but this is at the judge s discretion. Veterans (Special): The class is open to Large, Medium and Small dogs aged 9 years and over on the date of competition and not entered in any other classes over the weekend (Veteran and Any Size classes excepted). Jumps will be set at 350mm for Large dogs and 228mm for Small and Medium dogs. These classes will not include weaves or a tyre. The course time will be 60 seconds. All heights of dogs will compete against each other over the same course at the dog s applicable jump height with one set of awards. Under special circumstances, a dog may jump lower than its usual height but this is at the judge s discretion. TAG Team Dash sponsored by TAG & Norton Rosettes The TAG Team Dash is a competition for teams of four dogs and handlers, run as a relay over a simple jumping course. It is designed as a flowing sprint event with spectator appeal; accessible to all grades of handlers and all heights of dogs. Teams of four large, four medium or four small dogs run over the same course at their own height, under identical conditions. There are ten qualifying heats. The top two teams from each heat, regardless of height, qualify for a final comprising of twenty teams at the TAG August show. It is a requirement of this competition that the course contains few (if any) traps, and is of 'fast and flowing style'. A simple course such as a figure of eight, or a largely circular or helter-skelter style course is most appropriate. 1. The competition is classified under Kennel Club Regulations as Combined Grades 1 to 7 and Special, and will be held under KC Rules and Show Regulations H & H1 as in force at the date of the competition. Additional rules apply as described below. Competitors entering this competition are deemed to have agreed to abide by these rules. 2. All dogs entered in the team (including reserves) MUST be entered in the show in at least 1 normal height class (i.e. not veterans or any size). 3. All teams must consist of four dogs of the same height classification, handled by four separate handlers. All teams will compete over the same course at the appropriate height of the team of dogs competing. 4. Substitute dogs for teams are permitted, provided that (i) the dog(s) is/are already entered in the show, (ii) the dog(s) is/are not already entered in another team in this heat and (iii) alterations are made before the run and recorded on the scribe sheet. 5. Dogs may only compete in one team in any given heat. Should one dog be entered in more than one qualifying team across the heats then the first team to have qualified will go through to the final and any subsequent teams will not be eligible (this DOES NOT apply to handlers). 6. The course must contain two changeover lines, clearly marked with start/finish poles, each with a minimum gate width of 4m. Dogs 1 & 3 start behind line A and finish behind line B. Dogs 2 & 4 start behind line B and finish behind line A. (Handler 1 may use a recall start). The inward and outward courses can be different, but both dogs from behind the same line must run the same course. 7. The course each dog is required to negotiate shall contain no less than 14 and no more than 20 obstacles. 8. This is a relay event and two suitable batons must be provided. All baton changes must be completed with the handlers and dogs behind the appropriate changeover line. Failure to comply with this, or an incorrect baton change (i.e. throwing or dropping the baton at changeover) will incur a penalty of 50 points on each occasion. Stewards may be appointed by the judge to adjudicate changeovers if required. 9. For each dog an elimination on the course incurs a single penalty of 100 points, however the judge will continue to mark any further faults on the remainder of the course and the faults of any remaining dogs. 10. The team with the fastest time and the least faults, wins. The top two teams from each heat qualify for the final (unless the heat is split see rule 11). 11. If the entry for a heat exceeds the KC limit for a judge in a day then the class will be equally and randomly split. The winning team from each part will be regarded as the two qualifying teams from that heat. 12. Only the members of an original qualifying team (as specified on the scribe sheet at the time of the run) or the two original named reserves, will be allowed to compete in the final. 13. In the event of a team being unavailable for the final, a reserve team will be called from the heat in which the qualifying team qualified. Individual trophies and rosettes will be provided for 1st and 2nd placed teams and individual rosettes will be provided for 3rd to 6th placed teams (in the event of a split heat, trophies will go to 1st and rosettes to 3rd for each part).

7 Brillo International Bounce Brillo International Bounce Rules 2016 Two Dog Agility competitions; one for Small Dogs Grades 1 7 and one for Medium Dogs Grades 1 7. There are many heats for each size of dog at different grades held at shows around the country with the top 3 of each size of qualifier being invited to the final. The Brillo International Bounce classes must be judged using current Kennel Club rules and each host venue may choose which grades are included for each qualifier. Qualifiers: Each host venue provides 3 qualifiers at each size of dog to take to the final. Final: Each Final will consist of 2 rounds (1 Agility and 1 Jumping) at each size which will not be timed (max time specified) and all double clears will go towards the final round. In the event of less than 10 double clears at either size then all double clears and dogs with the minimum combined faults will be selected to produce 10 dogs for the final round. Time will be used with faulted dogs to determine those chosen up to 10 dogs. The 10 dogs will compete in the final jumping round against the clock to find winners and enjoy a share of the 50 prize money at each size. Details for the final will be announced in Notes 1. Once a dog has qualified (i.e. 3 finalists per heat per size) this eliminates the dog from taking a further finalist place and the next highest placed dog(s) in Brillo International Bounce Qualifier will be invited to the final. Each host venue should ensure it provides the correct information to the organisers. 2. Any surrogate handlers must be notified in writing by 30 August 2016 to competition organisers. 3. No amendments after this date and non-advice will disqualify the partnership. 4. Enquiries relating to each heat should be addressed to the organising club. 5. The organisers reserve the right to withhold an invitation to the final without explanation. This competition is indebted to the clubs and organisers that host a qualifier. Without their support this competition would not be possible. Please remember to thank them! The Animal Health Company Classic A Dog Agility competition for small, medium and large dogs 3 6 combined grades using a steeplechase style course. The class must be judged using current Kennel Club rules and a course must feature the Westcotts Water Jump. We encourage the use of walls, wells, brush fences etc. Judges be creative! Each dog must run at its correct height under KC rules. The Show / Judge may choose which height to start at and once the height has been altered to the next height it is up to the judge if they accommodate a competitor request to jump at a previous height. Judges decision is final at heats. This is one class: Small, Medium and Large dogs are competing against each other for one set of awards. Each host venue provides 5 winning partnerships to take to the final. No reserves are needed. The Final will be held at Robin Hood Game & Country Show, Newark. There will be a warm up event in the morning followed by a final in the afternoon in the main ring of the show.

8 General Information Helping To ensure the smooth running of the show we would appreciate any help you can offer over the weekend. We will ensure you only work in one hour slots, unless you indicate otherwise. All helpers of half a day or more will be provided with a lunch voucher. Ring Managers and Scribes that help for a full day will receive a one day camping refund on the day they help (please pay the full amount when entering refunds will be given on the day Please come and see us). Refreshments will be provided throughout the day. A raffle will take place on every ring on both days to win free entry for one dog on one day at next year s show. Camping Camping is limited so please tick on the entry form whether or not you would like your entries returned if camping is full and enclose a SAE if you do. No arrivals will be accepted before 1.00pm on Friday 11 th September (unless by prior arrangement) and the gates will be locked until that time and the site must be vacated on Sunday 13 th September. Please ensure you camp as directed by the marshals (any problems please see the show secretary or manager do not take issue with the marshals, they are only volunteers). Facilities There will be a number of toilet cubicles located around the showground please do not abuse them or steal the toilet rolls. There will also be a small shower block on-site. There are NO electric hook-up facilities. Measuring No measuring will be taking place. Catering Will be available on site throughout the weekend by Amber s Wood Fired Kitchen (pizzas, wraps, specials, etc) With dessert (or mains!) being provided by Pinky s!

Generators We are happy for people to use generators, but they must not be running before 8.00am and not after 8.30pm and we would request, on behalf of other people camping near you, that you do not run them all throughout the day as a matter of courtesy. Rosettes & Trophies Rosettes will be provided to a minimum of 10% in all classes. Clear round rosettes provided for ALL classes. Trophies in all classes based on the number of rosettes provided. ELIGIBILITY FOR CLASSES In the following definitions of classes First Prizes or other prize wins are those gained in standard classes at any Kennel Club licensed Championship Agility, Premier Agility, Open Agility or Limited Agility Shows (i.e. special classes and invitational events excepted). Only a first place with a clear round completed within the course time set by the judge will count towards grade progression. Standard classes may be scheduled for Agility Shows, as Agility classes or Jumping classes. All standard classes must contain the Weaving Poles obstacle. Standard Agility classes must contain the following elements: A Ramp, Dog Walk and See-Saw. With this proviso classes are defined as follows:- Class Structure. A Class may either be held as a Graded Class or a Combined Class. A Graded Class may be scheduled for one or more consecutive Grades with separate results and awards issued for each grade. A Combined Class may be scheduled for more than one consecutive grade with one overall set of results. Progression. Progression from each Grade will require one Agility win or three Jumping wins in standard classes at that grade, at either Full height or the Lower Height Option, except that progression from Grade 5 will require 3 wins at Grade 5, one of which must be an agility class. Progression from Grade 6 will require 4 wins at Grade 6, two of which must be agility classes. Results from Combined Classes will only count towards progression from the dog's current grade. Points Progression. At the handler s discretion a dog may progress up to Grade 4 by winning 100 points at each grade, using the Agility Warrant points scheme (Regulation K3.c refers), except that there is no requirement for a minimum number of agility points. If this method of progression is selected, the handler must ensure the Show Secretary signs the dog s Agility Record Book at the first show entered at the higher grade. There is no time limit on this progression, however once a dog has progressed, it cannot return to a previous grade. Progression on points must be done prior to the closing date of entries. It is not possible to change a grade on points once the entries have closed.

10 STANDARD CLASSES Lower Height Option. Societies may offer the Lower Height Option to all dogs in that height category and may be offered at all grades. It is to be run as part of any Standard class as defined in these regulations and must be clearly identified in the schedule. When the Lower Height Option is scheduled a dog may only be entered at either the Full height or at the Lower Height and cannot compete at a different height in any class at that competition. For these purposes a competition shall be defined as all classes covered within the same schedule. Each relevant class will have two heights with a change part way through to higher/lower the jump heights and competitors must run at their entered height. The order in which the heights will run must be detailed on the ring cards/ring plan. There will be only one course walking at the start of the class. In a class where the Lower Height Option is available show organisers may offer one set of awards by combining the results of each height or may offer separate awards for each height category. Only first prizes and points gained in standard classes at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows may be used for progression through the classes. (A dog is only eligible for one grade). In defining the eligibility of the owner or handler for Grade 1, the three jumping wins and points progression referred to in the definition apply only to one dog and not an accumulation of dogs. Grade 1 (Elementary) For owners, handlers or dogs which have not gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows. N.B. Owners, handlers or dogs previously qualified out of Grade 1, (Elementary) are not eligible for this class. Grade 2 (Starters) Open to dogs which are not eligible for Grades 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and have not gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Grade 2 at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows, or elected to progress on points from Grade 1. N.B. Owners, handlers or dogs previously qualified out of Grade 2 (Starters) are not eligible for this class. Grade 3 (Graduate) Open to dogs which are not eligible for Grade 1 or 2 or have elected to progress on points from Grade 2 at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows and dogs which are not eligible for Grade 4, 5, 6 or 7. Grade 4 (Novice) Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Grade 3 or elected to progress on points from Grade 3 at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows and are not eligible for Grade 3, 5, 6 or 7. Grade 5 (Intermediate) Open to dogs which have gained a first place in an Agility Class or three first places in Jumping Classes at Grade 4 and are not eligible for Grade 3, 4, 6 or 7. Grade 6 (Senior) Open to dogs which have gained a minimum of 3 first places at Grade 5 at Kennel Club licensed Agility Shows, one of which must have been gained in an Agility (not Jumping) Class, and are not eligible for Grade 3, 4, 5 or 7. Grade 7 (Advanced) Open to dogs which have gained a minimum of 4 first places at Grade 6 at Kennel Club Licensed Agility Shows, 2 first places must be gained in Agility (not Jumping) Classes. DIRECTIONS West Midlands Showground Gravel Hill Lane, off Berwick Road, Shrewsbury, Shropshire. SY1 2PF From the North and South leave the M6 at junction for the M54 to Telford. Keep on the M54, which becomes the A5. At the roundabout signposted A49 Whitchurch, turn right. **Go straight over the next roundabout still on the A49. At the next roundabout take the second exit signposted A5124 Ellesmere and go straight over the mini roundabout. At the next roundabout, take the second exit signposted Town Centre A528. Keep on this road to right turn to Baschurch B5067. This is a very sharp right turn to be taken with caution if towing. About 100 yards a left turn past some flats leads into the Showground. Entry signs will be posted. From the West keep on the A5 heading towards the A49 signposted Telford, Whitchurch. Once at the A5/M54 roundabout turn left and follow directions from ** above. In case of cancellation of the show within 7 days of the show date, notification will be sent to the relevant web sites where possible and notified to the iss Show Hotline It will be the competitor's responsibility to check with the Hotline and/or the Web sites, if continuation of the show is in doubt.
