2 AUST CH INSELSTAAT VAN ISH [AI] "AVA" Sire: Uno Vom Haus Engel (SRB) Dam: Inselstaat Senta [AI] Whelped: 14th November 2016 We are thrilled to showcase our latest Best in Show Winner the lovely Champion Inselstaat Van Ish [AI] Ava finished 2017 as #1 Rising Star Rottweiler in Australia and #1 Rising Star All Breeds NT in the DOL P/S and just when we thought she could not possibly top that, typically, she proved us wrong and has started 2018 with an even bigger BANG! The first Darwin show for 2018 was hosted by DLKC and saw Ava show her little heart out on a very warm February evening to win herself a Runner Up to Best Exhibit in Show. We feel very honoured to have taken home that winning rosette as we were up against some very classy and experienced dogs and we thank Mrs Wendye Slatyer (NSW) for recognising the quality of our girl. But the winning didn t stop there... The SDHC April show just has to be the absolute highlight for her show career to date. Despite the hot humid Darwin weather that night, our girl gave it her all yet again and showed her paws off from start to finish. Her efforts were worth it as she got the nod for Best Exhibit in Show!! A big thanks to the judge Mrs Esther Joseph (Vic) for awarding her so highly and her lovely comments afterwards. At just 17 months of age Ava has attended 42 shows and brought home a swag of ribbons and certificates. Her wins to date total a Best Exhibit in Show, a Runner Up to Best Exhibit in Show, 13 Classes in Show, 12 Best Exhibit in Groups and 10 Runner Up to Best Exhibit in Groups. Not a bad effort in our books. Ava is proudly bred by Inselstaat Rottweilers, Tasmania and is lovingly campaigned by Emzacily Rottweilers, Northern Territory. 1

4 President s Report Hello All, First a reminder that our AGM is coming up fast and I would impress upon you all to make the effort to attend as we need a quorum of 25 members. Since our episode with Marcus we had a number of trees uprooted along the fences. This caused a large part of the fence line to be damaged. The trees have been removed and the fences have been replaced. Luckily the grounds have not been damaged and the marks are filling in where the irrigation is. These marks have not created any problems as the rings fit nicely between them. That s all for now. Regards, Mel 3
