It has a collar, but no tags. She is delivering papers, and unable to meet a car at the kennel. 1122/AJD disp. Brown colored medium sized hound dog mix with an invisible fence collar, no tags. Taken to kennel Hrs. Crystal Meyers, 462 Lake Forest calling to see if we have her blood hound. She will meet an officer at the kennel. 1122/AJD disp hrs. They have been reunited. 04/01/ LINCOLN RD 11:28:31 ANIMAL/MISC MICHAEL LONG LINCOLN RD BAY VILLAGE OH - - APL Chief Humane Investigator Jed MIGNANO asks that an officer go to Lincoln Road and speak to the resident about his orange tabby cat. Neighbors have noticed the cat, which is allowed to roam outside, has an injured eye. Long refuses to take it to the veterinarian. MIGNANO says if the owner does not want the cat there are people who have told the APL they would be willing to take possession. One of whom is Debbie DAVIS # MIGNANO further stated if the owner decides to not take either option then the APL will conduct an investigation with possible resulting criminal charges. #1124DK. No answer at the door please check throughout your shift. 04/03/ :27:00 ANIMAL/MISC RUSSELL RD AJF MICHELLE LAFFERTY CLIFF DR BAY VILLAGE OH Last Thursday (March 27) she was walking her dog in the area of Russell and Clague when her dog was attacked by a St. Bernard. She took her dog to the vet and it suffered a puncture to the back of the neck. Lafferty was concerned about the other dog not being on a leash and is now scared to walk her dog in the area. Other dog belongs at Russell, the Kurinsky residence. I explained the options to Lafferty and she wanted me to call Kurinsky to advise them of the leash laws and reiterate her concerns. I contacted Jennifer who admitted to walking her dog without a leash. She was very upset and apologetic, admitting that she was fully at fault. I re-advised her of the leash laws and what the procedure would be if Lafferty decided to file a report. Page 1

2 I called Lafferty and advised her of my conversation with Kurinsky. 4 04/10/ :35:00 ANIMAL/MISC NORMANDY RD DOUGLAS DR NICKI HAZELDINE There is a brown lab, with yellow collar, loose in the area. The dog appears to be older, panting and has a tumor on its body. It is heading north on Douglas. Nancy Brown contacted. The dog lives on Normandy and has gotten loose in the past. She was given directions to the kennel ERT assigned hrs: Joyce called the station inquiring where the officer was to release her dog. She was advised cars are busy on calls. She was given the option to either wait at the kennel or I could call her when the cars became free. She opted to wait hrs: 1125 AJF is clear from call and is responding to the kennel. She stated she sees a police car in the area ERT directed to her location. The owner may be Erika Dorsey (possible info found on previous CAD calls: 511 Wildbrook, ) Message left on the phone DK checked the residence, no one home hours, Erika reports the dog is not hers. Other callers report the dog may belong to an elderly female in the area. However, no one knows who she is or where she lives hours, Terry Baird (30313 Provincetown, ) is a vet and knows many of the dogs in the area. He is willing to look at the dog DK will meet him at the kennel. Terry does not know the dog/owner hours, Nancy reports Love-a-Stray may be able to house the dog. She will contact them hours, Erika Dorsey reports she will hold onto the dog for a few days. She can pick it up within the hour hours, No officer available to release the dog. This is possibly an occurring problem. I spoke with above who stated her dog is 10 years old and had surgery April 3. Naughton assured me the dog cannot run/chase anything. She thinks it may be a vindictive neighbor who lives across the street making false complaints. 11 behind her at Lake has come up to the fence, instigated the dogs into barking and then started yelling at them. Today, the male told Jane's boyfriend that the dogs are vicious and something could happen to his grandkids if his grandkids were to hop the fence. Jane stated the people that moved into the house moved in back in November However, the first time she has seen this particular neighbor was Saturday April 19. She doesn't want a report but isn't sure what to do. At 297 Walmar 3 dogs are left caged in their own waste 24/7/ cats roam the house and urinate everywhere. No one lives at the house, but someone shows up every other day to provide food and water. Advised to leave the remaining bunnies alone and their mother will return and to keep her dog away from the nest.
