2 BACK TO BACK SPRING CONFORMATION SHOWS MARK YOUR CALENDARS NOW... SATURDAY, MAY 19 & SUNDAY, MAY 20, 2018 SUNNYVIEW EXPO CENTER As we get ready to put closure on 2017 and welcome in 2018 we thought it prudent to be certain that the membership is aware that once again OKC will be hosting their 2018 allbreed conformation shows back to back in May at the Sunnyview Expo Center. The dates are Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20, This is weekend also brings obedience and rally trials to the OKC training facility. Please mark your calendars now as this will be an "All Hands On Deck" weekend for the kennel club. Volunteers will be needed in many capacities throughout the weekend at both venues. Schedules will be flexible so no worries if you are planning to exhibit. In coming months look for regular newsletter features, updates, and volunteer needs tied to these events... Know that it is the time, talents, and dedication of this membership that make OKC such a successful club. So here comes the first request..

Trophy Donations for the Spring All-Breed Conformation Shows. Please consider sponsoring a trophy or two to support the exhibitors and juniors who enter the show.

3 Trophy Donations for the Spring All-Breed Conformation Shows. Please consider sponsoring a trophy or two to support the exhibitors and juniors who enter the show. Each day there are trophies available for your favorite breed and include: Winners Dog, Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, Best of Opposite Sex, and Best of Breed. In addition, there are trophies for Group 1wins, Reserve Best In Show, and Best in Show. Lastly we like to support the junior exhibitors by providing trophies for 1 st through 4 th place as well as Reserve Junior Exhibitor and Best Junior Exhibitor. As exhibitors there is nothing better than a trophy that acknowledges the accomplishments of the weekend!!!!! The form is included below and is available on the website. 4 OKC Howl-a-Dayz Bring on the BLING Member Appreciation and Awards Celebration 2017 Recap Wednesday, December 13 th, brought a festive group of OKC faithful to Primo's restaurant for this year's award and appreciation extravaganza. The theme this year was Bring on the Bling! and that we did Christmas accessories including hats, broaches, necklaces, earring, scarves, boots, shoes and sweaters were glamorously on display. We began the evening with a social hour followed by a lovely buffet meal. Once our bellies were nice and full the events of the evening began..first up. All attendees were challenged to guess how many candies were in the jar with the lucky winner receiving a spay / neuter gift certificate generously donated by Lakeside Animal Hospital. Next up.the not so mind boggling give-aways.. With a wide array of door prizes to select from those participants whose names were drawn got even luckier. One primary focus of the evening s get together was the annual presentation of the goblets for AKC titles earned. This year 72 AKC titles were earned by 29 dogs in 10 different event categories. The list of titlists is included here for review. Please do take a moment to congratulate these folks on their accomplishments.
