Much to my surprise, I was introduced to this spoiled brat who thinks the world belongs to her when it is clearly mine. They call her 'Shimano' (or Shimi) after some bicycle company because Julie is obsessed with bicycles and not as obsessed as she should be with me. Typical human fickleness. This puppy's demands are non-stop. "Oh, I have to go outside to pee. Oh, I need to be fed a million times a day. Oh, I want attention. Oh, I don't know how to walk on a leash." Who does she think she's kidding? Anyone knows how to walk on a leash; it's important so that when you trip people, they don't see it coming. But she doesn't even set them up; she tries to trip them right away instead of leading up to it by lulling them into a state of complacency. And I can see right through that 'oh I don't know what sit is BS. It's so she can get more treats that belong to me. Oddly enough, they pay more attention to me when she's around and if she's getting treats, I get treats, too. Obviously, the guilt is getting to them. Believe me, I'm milking it for all it's worth. I'm on flea control, but it doesn't protect against Shiba puppies. Fortunately, my journey to get the recognition I feel is rightfully my due is progressing satisfactorily. Shiba Inu Canada had a show. I went into the ring on Saturday and got a ribbon. It is a big ribbon. I am not allowed to chew it as I feel I should be able to, as it is clearly my property. I also tested and gave my approval to a bed suitable to my stature. I need room to stretch out on and this brown cover proved acceptable. It was a good show, but I am glad to be home.
