2 Q&A with VETO VETO answers questions about his life, experiences, and good memories Which words describe your personality? Emphatic, humoristic, sensitive, loving, spiritual, moral, optimist, opportunist, loyal. Describe your strong sides: Keeping my head high in hard times - good advisor - strong intuition - able to understand the greater meaning in situations - using music and meditation and physical training as a motivator especially when feeling challenged in life following my instinct. Describe your weak sides: Being a sensitive individual is mostly a strength in my opinion - although it still can challenge one in some situations. Being hard on myself can be destructive at times - even though I am proud of who I am. What is your marital status? Single. Do you have any children? I have a daughter - she is 13 years of age. She is blonde with blue/grey eyes. She loves animals and the countryside and is quite creative with her hands. She is funny and likes movies with Jim Carrey. She has no health problems and is a fantastic kid. Sometimes she can be shy, but mostly when she was younger. Do you smoke? No. Do you ride a bicycle? Sometimes. How much alcohol do you drink on average per week? Most weeks I do not drink - but if I go to a party I would say about 6-8 drinks. Which countries have you visited? As I am born in Manchester I have been to the UK many times visiting family. My dad used to live in Thailand and I have travelled there 14 times. I love road tripping and have been in the US several times on trips mostly around the South-Western states but also Florida and New York. Apart from that I have been to: All Scandinavian countries, all the Baltic countries, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Poland, Holland, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Tunisia, Turkey, Israel, Arabic Emirates, Sri Lanka. Which types of sport do you play or have played? I have since the age of 15 been working out and will always do - I have played soccer, tennis and tried different types of martial arts - but fitness is my medicine. Which other types of sports are you interested in? I enjoy most sports and activities but watching Tour de France is not a hit. List any other hobbies you may have or have had: I have been playing in rock bands since the age of 13 - my father who was a Beatles fan was my first inspiration. I enjoy fishing which I also did with my father. List which musical instruments you play or have played: Primarily I play electric guitar and sing, but I can also play the drums to some extent and the bass guitar to a degree. Religion: Christian. How many hours of sleep do you get on an average night? 8. Do you eat healthy? I try. Describe the best holiday you have had: The best holiday was a road trip in the US with my parents, daughter and brother. We drove on highway one from San Francisco to Los Angeles and took another route back through the countryside. It was the first time I experienced the Pacific Ocean. We went to see the universal studios, Hollywood, Venice beach and much more. Driving through the redwood forests and the beautiful landscapes was the best part of the whole trip. What do you like the most about your own country? In Denmark although the country is quite flat - we have beautiful forests and a magnificent countryside. Denmark is surrounded by sea and we therefore have a huge coastline - so the ocean is always near by. We have a great welfare system providing help to everyone in need and education through you whole life which I am especially grateful for.
3 Q&A with VETO - continued VETO s dreams, favourites and experiences Who are your idols/heroes/heroines? My idols have mostly been rock singers like Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, James Hetfield. I have many heroes - freedom speakers specifically - most of them killed for that same reason. John Lennon was my favourite. What are your goals in life? My primary goal in life is to follow my deepest intuition. What were your childhood dreams? Saving the poor children in Africa. Which values do you rank the highest? Freedom, loyalty, love, respecting Mother Earth. Most dangerous: Being very close to what could have been a serious car accident. Greatest sorrow: When my father died in a hospital in Thailand. My brother and I were by his side. What is your favourite colour? Dark blue - the colour fits me quite well. What is your favourite animal? French Bulldog - I knew I had to own one as soon as I had the time and space (I have one now). Which childhood experience made the biggest impression on you? My mother surprised me by buying two tickets to a Metallica concert in Copenhagen. I was only around 13 and Metallica was my religion at that time. I couldn t sleep properly because of excitement the days prior the concert. It was one of my coolest childhood memories. What is your favourite kind of food? Sushi. It is simply delicious (hope the fish is unpolluted in your time so you can taste it ;)) Which was your greatest experience or moment? When my daughter was born. Happiest: When my daughter was born. Funniest: When my friend s substitute front tooth fell out and we made a prank on a couple passing buy - we laughed for a full 15 minutes our stomachs were aching bad. Scariest: One night when my first real girlfriend and I were sleeping at some friend s parents house while they were on holiday - suddenly at night when we were sound asleep the stereo began to play Streets of Philadelphia by Bruce Springsteen.
