NON-REGULAR CLASSES Involving Multiple Dog Entries (THURSDAY-NATIONAL Only) Stud Dog Class - For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. Stud Dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of the Get. Get only to be judged based on the merits of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard of the breed. Get must be entered in a Regular Class, Best of Breed Competition or some other Non-Regular Class. Brood Bitch Class - Same as Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. As the judge s decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Classes is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. Open Junior Class: For Boys & Girls at least 9 and under 12 years of age on the day of the show, who at the time entries close, have won three first places in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show, with competition. Open Intermediate Class: For Boys & Girls at least 12 and under 15 years of age on the day of the show, who at the time entries close, have won three first places in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show, with competition. Open Senior Class: For Boys & Girls at least 15 and under 18 years of age on the day of the show, who at the time entries close, have won three first places in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show, with competition. Master Class: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won ten First Places, with competition present, in an Open Class at a licensed or member show. The calendar for this class will be November 1 - October 31 of the following year. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry without charge, the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year. PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES (Wednesday National Only) Requirements & Classification Sweepstakes is open to all AKC Registered Clumber Spaniels, that on the day of the show, are at least 6 months & under 18 months of age. Dogs shown in Sweepstakes must also be entered in one of the regular classes at the regular entry fee and on the regular entry form. Indicate your 6 Host Hotel Holiday the Roberts Centre Holiday Inn, Wilmington 129 Gano Road, Wilmington, OH Room Rate: $125.00/night HOTEL ROOM RESERVATION PROCEDURES In order to assign individuals to specific rooms, room reservations will be required. CSCA Guests must phone in their reservation requests to the following number: and reference the Clumber Club of America room block. CSCA Guests must contact the Hotel by April 7, 2017, identify themselves as part of the Clumber National Specialty, provide a credit card, specify type of room, bed type (i.e. king, queen/queen etc.), check-in and check-out dates. Any requests for special room arrangements must be made at this initial reservation. The Hotel will be included on the attendee mailing list to help anticipate when reservations are likely to begin arriving. The Hotel does not confirm reservations in writing and room types cannot be guaranteed, however the Hotel will use commercially reasonable efforts to inform CSCA Guests if the type of room or, bed requested (such as a queen/queen to accommodate 4 people) is not available. As of April 7, 2017, all room nights which have not been reserved will be deemed to be room nights which CSCA Guests will not use, and will be returned to the Hotel s general inventory. Reservation requests from CSCA Guests received after April 7, 2017, will be accepted on a space available basis, at the higher of the contract rate or the rate available at that time. GUEST ROOM CHARGES Each CSCA Guest will pay for his/her own account upon departure. When each reservation is made by a CSCA Guest, the Hotel will require payment of one room night and tax for such reservation. Upon check-in, each CSCA Guest will be required to present a valid credit card, on which an amount of sufficient pre-authorization can be obtained to cover the room and tax charges for the length of such Guest s stay, plus the anticipated use of the Hotel s ancillary services. The CSCA National Show Committee and Board will assist the Hotel in resolving any incidents occurring with a CSCA Guest, including costs incurred by the Hotel to repair damage to a guest room for which a CSCA Guest is responsible. HOSPITALITY ROOM: Food and beverages from the hospitality room may be taken into hotel rooms, but must not be taken into Eukanuba Hall, meeting rooms or common areas. DOG SHOW RULES Pet Fee: A one time, non-refundable cleaning fee of $35.00 per guest room will be assessed at check in, for a 3 night stay for rooms with dogs with a maximum of $50.00 non-refundable for the week. Dogs: All animals must be crated at all times while unattended in guestroom, with plastic sheeting under crates. All dogs must be crated, on a leash or in your lap in public areas. Bathing: Dog bathing facilities with hot and cold water will be located adjacent to the Eukanuba Hall. Drying and grooming will be permitted in the Hall. CSCA guests must use their own towels when bathing dogs. Hotel towels are not to be used for the care & grooming of dogs. Kennels & Exercise Pens: Kennels/exercise pens are permitted in the designated areas of the hotel grounds. EVERY DOG OWNER is expected to pick up after his/her own dog(s) and dispose of the waste in nearby trash cans. Do not allow your dog to urinate or defecate anywhere within the hotel. If your dog has an accident, you must clean it up immediately and thoroughly. RV PARKING Plenty of RV spaces, without hookups, are available for the National Specialty event and are being offered by the hotel at a rate of $35.00 per night. 7 ATTENTION EXHIBITORS Closing Date for Entries: Wednesday, APRIL 5, :00 p.m. after which time entries cannot be accepted, canceled, altered, or substituted. Entry Fee: $30.00 (includes $.50 AKC Registration recording fee & $3.00 event fee) for first entry, $20.00 for additional entry of the same dog. $ Sweepstakes & Junior Showmanship month classes are adults for entry fee purposes. Entry fee shall not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a Veterinarian or Judge, or barred. Canadian exhibitors must make fees payable in US funds. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and photocopies of the entry without the Agreement and Rules from the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Errors on Entry Blanks: Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. Changes, additions or corrections must be received in writing prior to close of entries. Show-giving Club, Show Secretary, their agents, employees, etc. assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or any of their dogs, or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children under the control of parents or guardians. A recording fee of 50 cents and an event fee of $3.00 will be required for each dog entered at any licensed or Member Club, Show, Obedience Trial, or Tracking Test. This fee is to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to AKC. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the fee is collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 14, Section 2) All dogs must be held on leash except when in the exercise area or crated. The participating Club may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or other causes and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the Club or any official thereof. Ramps may be used at the sole discretion of the judge for examination. Transfer of Entry to Best of Breed Dogs which according to their owner s records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for the show, but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed or Variety competition, provided this transfer is made by the Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of any regular conformation judging at the show. CATALOGS All catalogs will be sold. None will be given away. CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON US ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN US FUNDS 10 Sweepstakes Class with the age division in the space provided for Additional Class. The remaining 75% will be divided in each class as follows: First 40% Second 30% Third 20% Fourth 10% VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES (Wednesday National Only) Requirements & Classification Veteran Sweepstakes is open to all Clumber Spaniels, that on the day of the show, are 7 years of age or older. Dogs shown in Veteran Sweepstakes need not to be entered in one of the regular classes or at the regular entry fee. Indicate your Veteran Sweepstakes Class with the age division in the space provided. Neutered dogs & spayed bitches may be entered. The following classes will be provided for both dogs & bitches Veteran 7 9 yrs Veteran 9-11 yrs Veterans 11+ yrs Division of Entry Money as Prizes 25% of total entry fees will be retained by the Club for expenses. The remaining 75% will be divided in each class as follows: First 40% Second 30% Third 20% Fourth 10% GUNDOG SWEEPSTAKES (Wednesday National Only) Requirements & Classification Spayed and/or neutered dogs are eligible for this competition. Also the highest level leg or title that a dog or bitch has earned will determine the class for which it will be entered in. The following classes will be provided for both dogs & bitches Master Hunter Dogs For dogs that have earned one or more Master Hunter legs or that have earned the AKC Master Hunter Title. Senior Hunter Dogs For dogs that have earned one or more Senior Hunter legs or that have earned the AKC Senior Hunter Title. Junior Hunter Dogs For dogs that have earned one or more Junior Hunter legs or that have earned the AKC Junior Hunter Title. Division of Entry Money as Prizes 25% of total entry fees will be retained by the Club for expenses. The remaining 75% will be divided in each class as follows: First 40% Second 30% Third 20% Fourth 10% TROPHIES All trophies are being donated through the generosity of members and friends of Clumber Spaniel Club of America. Trophies must be claimed day of show. None will be mailed. Unless otherwise noted the trophy is donated by CSCA.
