3 CIRCLE REPORT Are you comfortable HOLEPROOF? Would you like a G&T? Can I start the circle now? asks LOAN ARRANGER Our stand in RA, LOAN ARRANGER, proved he had not lost any of his RA skills in the short time he has been out of office, by circling the gathered rabble away from the delicious nibblies provided by the hare RABBIT. There was a freezing wind howling across the park so the history lesson from LOAN ARRANGER about Oatley was short & sweet but HANNIBAL jumped in and added a couple of lines of his own re some gorgeous girl called Dawn having a root there on her wedding night! Not to be outdone, MERKIN babbled on about having played some kind of sport for the Oatley West Juniors & spent many a night in his youth sitting by the log fire in the Oatley Pub. CANNONMOUTH & BOWERBIRD kindly provided very stylish, tartan blankets for JJ & HOLEPROOF, to keep out the aforementioned wind, which gave the circle a nursing home appearance. RUN REPORTER: JOKER was coerced into doing the run report & said it was a great, scenic run full of hills, valleys & worthy of an award of 9.5/10! It WAS a well deserved score as it was 35 degrees when RABBIT & her dog set the run! They both had a swim in Oatley Park baths to cool them down. JOKER also mentioned that the highlight of the run was the trailmaster PIG falling over a big root

(Scribes note: I would call this superior hashing skills!) PRICKETTE OF THE WEEK NOMINATIONS: JJ nominated BLONDIE who said that her relatives had giraffes in their garden when they were really only black donkeys with painted white stripes! DIRTY WEEKEND nominated GRENADE for showing DW the grog shop which she used to take her dear Mum to, send her in for 2 CASES of wine & make her Mum pretend the grog was for herself & not for her dodgy daughter GRENADE who was waiting outside! (Scribes note: I add that her dear Mum was in a wheelchair at the time, shame!)

10 This is just one of the photos that arrived with the THE ON ON & NEVER LET THE TRUTH GET IN THE WAY OF A GOOD STORY SECTION The pack hurried into the pub to escape the howling, freezing wind & were rewarded with great meals, good prices & fast service. Well done RABBIT for selecting this venue. Many years ago B2H3 had a run from this pub & it was wet & freezing. The pack were so pleased to get back to their cars to get into warm, dry clothing. But wait! What s this? No Hares, no keys & a locked bucket truck! Shock horror! The 2 Hares, Fanny Loose & TAB (may you rest in peace dear girl) had gone to their homes in Roselands to have a nice warm shower taking all the keys, bags etc. with them and did not return until at least 15 minutes after the last of the slow walkers/runners had returned! Wow! What a fuss! I love these old memories, do you? STRINGBEAN was playing golf with his son GREWSOME and the 16 th tee featured a fairway that ran along a road fenced off to the left. STRINGBEAN teed off and hooked the ball viciously. It soared over the fence and bounced onto the street, where it hit the tyre of a passing delivery truck and ricocheted back onto the fairway. Wow dad how did you do THAT? asked GREWSOME as he stared in amazement at his dad s golfing prowess. STRINGBEAN just shrugged and replied You have to know the truck s schedule son!

11 GRENADE recently won first prize at her creative writing class. The task set was to write an essay using as few words as possible but containing four elements religion, royalty, sex & mystery. GRENADE S winning essay was: My God, said the Queen. I m pregnant. I wonder who did it? QR told us a story of when one day last week as he drove into a Bunnings carpark he noticed a truck with a dog sitting behind the wheel rolling towards a female pedestrian. She seemed oblivious to the danger, so QR hit his van horn, BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! to get her attention. She looked up just in time to jump out of the truck s path, and the vehicle bumped harmlessly into the pavement and stopped. QR rushed to the woman s side to see if she was okay.
