9 Good Deal DUROC > > $75 per dose David Martin, Marion, Iowa Current Owner: & Austin Hyett It was not our intention to buy a red boar last fall in Duncan but we really felt as we watched the show that this was one to at least watch on sale day. We loved his front end as he comes at you, he is stout and wide based. From the profile he is perfect in his curvature from blade to ground. And as he leaves you he is big butted and sound. We never thought we would buy him at the price we did. But that is why he got his name, GOOD DEAL! His muscle shape is tremendous down his top and through his hip. SLUGGER sold first and we knew the Wingo boar, sired by our herd sire Heat Wave, would be very popular we were right. SLUGGER was an outcross for us and we feel privileged to add him to our stress negative Poland boar lineup here at Center Prairie he will continue the tradition. We love the way SLUGGER came home and continued to mature. He is level in his design and as sound as you can make one. When he comes at you, he hits the ground wide and square. From the profile, he is deep bodied with excellent rib shape. As he goes away, he impresses you with the amount of hip he possesses.
