South Lake DolpHIN NEWS Publication #6 May 2017 Beauty and the Beast By Alejandro Anthony Magee Davis Do you know a movie where there was a prince that turned to a beast? I do. It is Beauty and the Beast. The characters are Belle, the Beast, the Prince, and Belle's dad. It takes place in a village and a castle. In the beginning, Belle leaves to find out if her dad is ok. She is the beauty. While she is searching for her father, she finds a beast that is so grumpy in a castle. He does not want to have anybody in his castle because he is scared to have people in his castle. Then the girl finds a red rose in the castle because the beast put it in the castle. The beast will stay as a beast until the last petal falls. The Cat Poem By: Matthew Shamshoian and Ian Gomez Cats are fuzzy and cute. Cat's like to meow and don t have a mute. Cats are lazy and love to cuddle. Kittens are small, cats are big and love to nuzzle. Cats are very active. Cats outdoors may get sick and that makes them inactive. Cats are very fast. Cats are never in last. Cats like to sleep a lot. Cats mostly eat a lot. 2 dad is a brave person but sometimes scared because the beast scares the father. The dad tries to help Belle find a red rose. The red rose is important because it is going to help the beast by helping not to frighten Belle. You should read this book because it can tell you what you didn t see in the movie. I like it because it is a fun story and I like it because it has a chapter book with details. I am half way through the book and can t wait to finish the story. Paris & Nancy Secret Agents Short Stories By Laumar B. Episode Three O kay you have the invisible spray perfume to help you get things without being noticed, the fingerprint finder to help you figure out just who did it, communicating earrings so you will be able to communicate and signal for help during sticky situations and the laser lipstick so you can find a quick exit. said Claire as she was displaying the Harry Potter: The Movie! By Marlon This is the review of the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. It is going to focus on the magical parts that made this movie very special. I will share four magical parts. The first magical part is when Harry Potter got his wand and he cast his first spell. It did not work out well because he did not do it correctly so then he made something explode. The second magical part was when he went to Hogwart the school for Wizards. There were a lots of magical teachers and wizards.the Third magical part was that Harry Potter meets two kids.their names are called Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley those three kids come to this School to learn magic.the fourth magical part is when Harry Potter plays quidditch. Mostly quidditch is a hard ball that floats is basically it like baseball or football but you need a magical broom. This is the review of the four magical parts from the movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer s Stone, that made this movie very special. All About Lebron James By Isaiah Ali Lebron James is my favorite basketball player. He was born in Akron,Ohio with his mother, Gloria who raised him by herself. He has a Kia Sportage which is a very expensive car. He is very rich and has at least $1,000,000,000. He is the one reason I watch basketball. Lebron James is one of the greatest basketball players in the world because he can dunk, Alley Oop pointers, and hit 2 pointers. He was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in That is why he was happy to play for the home team. In 2010, he was traded to the Miami Heat. He won multiple championships with teammates such as Dwyane Wade. When he was 10, a coach asked him to live with his family. He was then traded back home to the Cavaliers in In the 2016 playoff finals, he helped fellow teammates such as Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love win the championship.they defeated the Golden State Warriors. Lebrons number is currently 23. When he played for the heat, his number was 6. He is a BEAST at basketball. I admire him because he is my idol. He has continued to dominate other teams in the NBA (National Basketball Association) ever since his debut in the NBA.
gadget's amazing powers. All blend into a beauty pageant scene. Which will be very useful for all of you to stay undercover, continued Claire. Also the laser lipstick really works for easy touch ups. said Claire. All these things will be a great help said Nancy. Later, at the beauty pageant, Paris was using the actual blowdryer. While Nancy was fixing her lipstick. Okay let s try and win this thing so we can complete this mission. I want to see drama said Nancy. Later on as the pageant was starting, Paris and Nancy were waiting with the other girls, as they sat back stage. Next, a booming voice filled the room: Hello everyone and welcome to the annual Little Miss Superstar Pageant said the host, Ramsey Raven. Apparently he was a professional. Paris heard a ring coming from her communicating earrings. It s a call from mom said Paris. Shhh she s saying something said Nancy. Hello girls are you there? I was talking with the other moms and I saw the explosive bouquet. Elizabeth, Megan s mom, has it said Mom. So what we have to do is beat Megan and make it to the finals said Paris. Okay let's start this competition! said Nancy. Chapter 2: Dolphins are Radiant What happens in the Last Chapter? By: Andres Lopez Sea Otters are A-maz-ing Chapter 2 What happens in the last chapter? By:Andres Lopez This is about the life cycle of the Sea Otters. Female sea otters give birth in the water to live young pups. One pup is born at a time. Mothers carry their pups on their chests. Sea otters can live for 20 years. The Green Spoon By John M. What is the green spoon? The green spoon award is something that tells your table if your table is doing a good job. How do you get the green spoon? You get the green spoon by keeping your cup on green the whole lunch time. What are the rules in the cafeteria? The rules are: be quiet and listen to the teacher and follow first time directions. Who chooses the green spoon winners? The South Lake staff that supervises in the cafeteria. Why should we get the green spoon: We should get it because we can get fun rewards. In the cafeteria and around other schools cafeterias we have to be quiet and listen to teacher s directions. In the cafeteria we also need to clean
This is about the dolphin s life cycle. A female dolphin gives birth to one calf at a time. Baby dolphins are about 4 feet (1.2 meters) long. Mothers help their young to the surface to get air. These are some fun facts about Sea Otters. Sea Otters sometimes leave the water to rest on icebergs or rocky shores. Sea Otters have the thickest fur of any mammal. Sea Otters groom themselves everyday. I have learned that sea otters are amazing. They are not so common in North America. They are so amazing because I know they are one of the animals that give birth in the water that is why I am writing about this animal. our tables because if you don t it is going to be messy. That s why you have to take care of the cafeteria. You have to get a green sopon so you can get a awards. Green spoon is something that tells you if your table is doing a good job. By Aggrey These are some fun facts about Dolphins. Dolphins often leap out of the ocean. They can jump 16 feet ( 5 meters) high. Dolphins use blowholes on their head to breathe. About 32 different types of dolphins live in the ocean. Dolphins are radiant because they are the only sea mammals that goes to the surface and breathe with a blowhole and they are the only animal in earth that has a blowhole. THE MYTH OF THE YELLOW RIVER by Philip K Amani Remember this is a myth and nothing in it is true so remember that, plus this writing might not be 100% like the original so I encourage you to read the original myth. Have fun reading! FORWARD Once there was a village humble and small with a leader named HEBO, he wanted to make the village great. This village was no Other Inhabitable Planets Do you know that there might be some inhabitable planets? Some space scientists of NASA said that Kepler (NASA s space telescope) was
By: Elijah Ali The Boy Who Lived Harry Potter is the boy who lived. People call him that because of what happened at the Potter's house. This is what happened. It was a cold and stormy night when a mysterious person named, Voldemort came to the Potter's house and killed, Lily and James Potter who were Harry s parents. Voldemort tried to kill Harry Potter but instead it left him with a scar. Going to School When Harry Potter went to school he learned how to fight with magic using a wand. Harry Potter met some friends, Ron and Hermione. They had many years together doing magic.then when they were adults they were still friends and saw each other every day. They still did lots of magic. ordinary village, it was one of the great cities of China. This city was one of the city near the Yellow River which is one of the biggest rivers in Asia. Many myths surround this river and this is one of them. PART 1 Once the yellow river was unstable as if the soul of the dragon of the yellow river was displeased with China. Wave after wave buildings fell, but then one man named Hebo, leaped into the river and the river calmed itself. Years pass and, people forgot what Hebo had done for them. Then literally he came out of the blue. Hebo had become the god of the yellow river. PART 2 He thought that the Yellow River was the biggest and most powerful. He thought this for a long time till a messenger told him of the Pacific Ocean. When he got there and sw it he was humbled. From then on he did not make such accusations ever again. The god of the Yellow River did not regret giving his life to the Yellow River as he thought is was the only way to save the city. THE END PS. Hebo means lord of the river looking at a little part of a space and it saw some planets that might be inhabitable. it was in the inhabitable zone of a planet star and that means it might have water on it or living things on that planet. Scientists said that Kepler has seen a portion of the sky and it saw more than 1,300 possible planets that are in the habitable zone of their parent star. If you add the dwarf stars there might be more than 1,500 planets that might be inhabitable. Since that was only portion of our solar system there might be a lot more than 50,000 planets in our solar system. See this picture of a planet? That is the planet Kepler -186F. It is earth size and 10 percent larger than Earth. Because of Kepler-186F location in the inhabitable zone around its star, the planet might be a place that life can thrive. It s possible that the planet has a atmosphere that can help keep water in liquid form on the surface, a prerequisite for life as it on earth. Harry Potter facts: 1. Harry Potter is one of the best Wizards. 2. Harry Potter is only one day younger than his cousin, Dudley. Activities at Recess By Dalia N.
3. When Voldemort died he was When Harry Potter went to London, it was There were about 5000 Wizards at Hogwarts. At recess some kids play with the hula hoops. Hula hoops are fun because you get to spin all around to use them. Most kids play on the field and playground. At recess lots of kids play soccer. Some kids play follow the leader. This is what kids do at recess. I think kids can play a math game if they are at indoor recess and do their work. At outdoor recess kids should play hopscotch because when I am outside no one is playing hopscotch so kids should play hopscotch more. Kids should play jump rope more. When they are playing they can sing a song like this one.banana banana banana split what did you get in arithmetic banana banana split what did you get in geometry did you like it if you did you you should use it..
