1 Phoebe and the Cyclops By:Janelle (An adaptation of Beauty and the beast) Once upon a time there was a prince that had a heart like stone. All he did was brag about his wealth, but one night he had an unexpected visitor. She was the weirdest looking creature, and her clothes were burned and covered in ashes. Her head was bigger than her body and she had only one eye. The prince shooed her away but all she did was ask the prince for a hair brush. On the other side of town, Phoebe was helping her dad prepare for his trip to the GUG (Galactic Universal Group). He was the biggest GUG fan around. That morning he would set off to the far side of town to do just that. Even though her mom had been abducted by aliens which is a totally different story, but in the meantime Phoebe has taken up the interest of playing croquet. She said, croquet is the door to a land that is just and right. In my opinion that quote is way too deep and it sounds like it
2 should have been said by a leader not from a really bad croquet player. Back at the castle the weird witch cyclop has put a spell, or as some people call it, a curse on the king so that he will have to find a really good croquet player that helps him become a better hearted person and that person has to believe that his heart is good before the hoverboards battery runs out or he will turn into a cyclops and he will be like that forever. So with that the witch left and so did all of the king s friends. This is the morning that Phoebe's dad leaves for GUG and this is the last time he said he would be gone. So he rode off with his Kaleidoscope to look at the stars. After Phoebe's dad left, a world famous croquet player named Cheeto came up to her door step and asked if she wanted to play croquet with him forever. He was the best and he could teach her. She said, Now get outta here you crazy self centered individual.
3 Phoebe's dad ran into some wild elephants, and he had to take a detour which lead him to the king s castle. When he got there, he knocked on the oak doors to see if anyone was there. No one was there, so he walked inside to find a hoverboard sitting in a glass tube. Then the king found him sitting by the alpaca talking to him about his favorite sport. His response to this was baseball and so the alpaca just left him there next to the fire. After that, the king came to Phoebe's dad, and when he saw the king he froze and panicked, yet he was standing next to one huge eyeball. The next day, Phoebe was waiting for her dad to return home. Once the clock hit 10:00pm, she ran off to find him and when she found the castle, she ran inside. She ended up finding him playing croquet with a cyclops. Phoebe ran out to her dad and pulled him away from the cyclops. The king looked at her and said the she was a puny little girl. The cyclops said she should leave the men alone, so he could perfect
4 Phoebe s dads skills. So, Phoebe, being her loving self, offered the cyclops herself for her dad's freedom. She told the cyclops that she could play croquet very well or so she thought. That made the cyclops very happy. After that, Phoebe s dad went back to their hometown and told everyone that his daughter had been captured by a monster that only has one eye. It was so dark it looked like a black hole. Everybody said that he was lying just to get attention, but Cheeto came up to him and asked him what exactly happened. Phoebe's dad said that he would never tell Cheeto what happened because Phoebe didn't like Cheeto anymore than her dad did. Back at the castle, the cyclops and Phoebe were playing croquet, but the cyclops was banging his head on the table because Phoebe was so bad at croquet. The cyclops was about to let her go because it hurt his eyes looking at her play. So after awhile, he said that she should go to her room, think about her life decisions, and think about learning a new sport to play. Back at the town, Phoebe s dad was having the worst day because he lost his little girl. Cheeto got him abducted
5 by the same aliens that abducted his wife. At least he saw his wife today, and he was able to tell her about Phoebe. A few days have passed and Phoebe has met a lot of new friends including one alpaca, one tiger, and two guinea pigs. They said, the day the king got turned into a cyclops, they got turned into talking animals. If the curse is lifted they go back to being townspeople again. They will be able to reunite with their family, so now she is determined to become the best croquet player in the world. After a few more days of practice, she went to the cyclops and she asked if she could play a game of croquet with him to show how good she is at croquet now. He said no you are the worst croquet player ever. Well let's just play one game and find out so they played and they played and every goal Phoebe made the king turned more human at the end of the game the king was human and his friends. He had shown Phoebe that he was nice and friendly. Then later that night Phoebe and the king went to the town and took Cheeto down in a croquet match and they got Phoebe s dad back from the aliens the evil witch got her comb and they all lived happily ever after.well as normal as they could!!!
