2 Welcome to the Annual Herd Builder Beef Heifer Sale sponsored by the Mason County Cattleman s Association and the Blue Grass Maysville Stockyards. The quality of cattle represented here is some of the finest offered for building a commercial cow-calf herd. EPD s are available on service sire of calves. All heifers have been through a rigorous health and selection evaluation as outlined in the requirements section. The heifers have been examined by certified veterinarians to ensure pelvic measurements; reproduction tract scores and pregnancy diagnosis are properly documented. This insures that these heifers are ready to go to work for you. In addition to the state guidelines, all heifers are PI Test negative and had to meet a minimum weight of 950 pounds at fall tagging dates. Each of you are serious about the beef industry or you wouldn t be here today. Cattle such as these represented here can help you in your commercial operation. 3 TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE TIME The sale will begin at 2:00 p.m., EST, October 27, LOCATION Blue Grass Maysville Stockyards AA Highway, Maysville BIDDING Each animal or group will be sold to the highest bidder. The auctioneer will settle any disputes as to bids and his decision on such matters will be final. TERMS The terms of the sale are cash. Checks shall be made payable to the Blue Grass Maysville Stockyards. ANNOUNCEMENTS Announcements from the auction box will take precedence over printed matter in this catalog. CONTRACT The above terms and guarantee shall constitute a contract between the buyer and seller of each animal sold. LIABILITY All persons attending the sale do so at their own risk. Mason County Cattleman s Association, Mason County Extension Service and the Blue Grass Maysville Stockyards assume no liability, legal, or otherwise, for any accidents which may occur.

4 Must Follow KDA Guidelines for Herd Builders Replacement Program Heifers must be bred between April 24 July 21 Heifers must follow all vaccination protocols for program Zoetis Products (Dectomax dewormer) All heifers must be PI test negative and pelvic checked (heifers must be tested prior to breeding) Heifers will be inspected, any heifer not meeting standard will not be eligible Heifers must weigh 950 lbs at fall tagging and preg check date scheduled Nomination Fee: $15; $10 per head additional for transportation fund (will be prorated back to producers after all hauling fees) Delivery available up to 250 miles for those purchasing 10 or more heifers 30 Day guarantee bred.
