With over 29 years of breeding Simmentals, we are extremely proud to offer some of the finest Red Simmental genetics from the heart of our herd. Tucked away in the heart of the Willamette Valley, we operate a highly productive herd of red, and a few black, Simmentals. Our herd is built on the strength of our cow families, many with 5 generations currently producing in the herd. Over the years we have strived to breed cattle that balance performance with value based genetics. Our focus has been on low birth weights, significant growth rates, structurally correctness, excellent legs, milking ability, great disposition, eye appeal and balanced EPD s. Buyers will have the opportunity to choose from an elite set of Red Simmental females and embryo combinations that represent the top end of our program. To maintain our genetic base we are keeping up to 5% embryo interest in a few select females. Whether you re looking for a show heifer or future donor, we re confident our females will become successful cornerstones in your herd. We are also offering a great set of Red Simmental bull calves, with many out of Mr. Ishee Red Density. With birth weights under 7 lbs, great dispositions and exceptional EPD s, these future herd sires will add value and profitability to any herd. SALE TERMS & CONDITIONS Terms: Cash, unless prior arrangements have been made. Cattle will not be transferred until paid in full. Announcements: Announcements on sale day will take precedence over printed material in the sale catalog. Bidding: All animals sell to the highest bidder. All animals in the sale become the immediate property of the buyer once sold. 1 Genetic Defects and Factors: The seller shall notify any potential buyer of any test results in which an animal has tested positive as a carrier of any genetic defect or genetic condition. GW Redestined 642X is a tested sire for the genetic condition (DD). Carrier animals carry only one copy of the gene and are not affected with the condition. These animals can be used in a breeding program with caution, especially when a DNA test is available. The only way to get an affected calf is to mate two carrier animals. Due to the unknown inheritance the ASA will not add DD to the TraitTrac. Breeding Information: Current breeding and calving dates are furnished in the catalog. Liability: Anyone visiting the farm does so at their own risk. The seller assumes no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accident which may occur. Guarantee: All cattle sell fully guaranteed with the suggested terms and conditions of the American Simmental Association. Weaned Calves: Calves sold that have not yet been weaned can either be weaned early or kept on premise until weaned. Terms of Flush Selling: Seller guarantees 6 eggs to the bull of the buyer s choice, after 6 the buyer and sell split the rest evenly with seller getting the odd number of any split. Buyer pays for all flush expenses & semen. Seller pays for the freezing cost of their eggs. Flush& freezing to be conducted by Steve Vredenburg, DVM. Retained Two Flushes: The seller will retain the right to flush the female twice for a minimum of 6 #1 eggs per flush. 5% Embryo Interest: Buyer gets full possession and seller retains 5% flush rights for the life of the animal. This right transfers if the female is ever sold. Buyer owns all natural calves born. Seller will pay for their portion of flush cost and can either split a flush or alternate flushes with the buyer. Retained Semen Interest: The buyer receives full possession and 2/3 semen interest. Seller retains 1/3 semen interest. The semen interest is a royalty giving seller 1/3 of the revenues of any semen sold. Buyer is not responsible for expense of semen collection or promotions. Seller s retained semen interest remains even if the bull or any interest is sold to a third party. Seller retained semen interest also includes the right to collect semen at our expense. She is the 5th generation out of the Class cow family and the perfect example of the type of Red Simmental cattle that we strive to breed with near perfect structural correctness. This is a powerhouse red female with both her 17 year old grandmother and 11 year old mother still producing in the herd. Sweetie Pie is open, vet checked and ready to schedule a flush to the bull of your choice. She flushed 7 number one quality eggs last year. Hester s Livestock guarantees six eggs to the bull of the buyer s choice, after 6 the buyer and seller split the rest of them evenly. Buyer gets the first 6; seller gets the 7th and so on. She is an extremely clean fronted, deep bodied female with great legs and that wow factor. Red Gala is a 6th generation female from one of our oldest cow families. Her mother, Hester s Sugar Baby, is also the dam of lot 8 and lot 9 and from their photos you can see just how consistent these full sisters are. We have extremely high expectations for this combination and we ve had excellent results with Mr. Ishee Red Density calves out of Scarlet Dreams females. The calves out of this combination will have the best of both worlds with show ring eye appeal and excellent EPD s in the top 1% of the breed for API and TI. Red Density is the best Beefmaker son that we ve seen to date and his calves have been our highest sellers this past year. She is an extremely feminine cow that s very fluid in her movement. She is just at the start of her career as a donor and will become a valuable foundation female. We hadn t intended to implant her with an embryo but when the time came we had one fresh embryo and Red Ruby in heat so it was our best option at the time. Our high selling red bull last year is a full sibling to this combination with; a low birth weight, massive carcass and great disposition with 13 API and 71 TI.
