The trainee is responsible for advising the exotic pet owner about law, husbandry and feeding practice. To be able to explain and detect the main mistakes in husbandry: terrarium conception, aquarium maintenance or choice and equipment of cages and aviaries To be able to conceive a terrarium or aquarium The importance of temperature (hot spot), hygrometry and UVB. Today school carries the traditions fitting to the 21st century. In particular, it is characterized by the values of what they carry and what they want to pass to their students. They have many modern workshops and they are constantly renewing and expanding our premises. They are open, competent and level-headed. This school has a wide variety of specialities. The region is rather rural. There are beautiful sights in the town: a monastery, an early Gothic chapel, a historical granary with a monumental baroque tower clock, the tomb of the chancellor Metternich and his family, a unique Centre of Architectural Heritage an exposition of the National Technical Museum Prague, a brewery, a mini ZOO, a mini golf, the beautiful river Střela etc. Thanks to the EU Projects, we were able to modernize our classrooms, provide them with new equipment such as furniture, modern audio-visual technology or didactic tools, establish biological and chemical laboratories, a veterinary examination room and language laboratories, purchase machinery for agricultural courses (e.g. a tractor), develop interesting teaching materials, and so on. The school keeps focusing on further improvement of the quality of education, therefore we strive to become involved in other EU projects and to use the possibility to cooperate with other schools or companies. The school cooperates with local farms to provide our students with both veterinary and agricultural practice. We also use the opportunity to partner with the ZOO in Pilsen, local veterinary clinics, the Regional Veterinary Administration, as well as to undertake a three-week long practice in Bavaria, Germany.
