2 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List. The AKC will collect a $1.50 AKC Event Service Fee and 50 cent Recording Fee for the first entry of a dog in all AKC licensed and member dog shows, obedience trials, and tracking tests. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Event/Recording Fees to be collected on the first entry only. (AKC Rule. Ch.11, Sec. 2). In accordance with AKC Rally regulations, the AKC will collect a $3.00 per entry of dog Rally Event Service Fee. A show-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Recording Fees and Event Service Fees for AKC. CANADIAN EXHIBITORS MUST SUBMIT ENTRIES WITH CHECKS DRAWN ON U.S. ACCOUNTS OR WITH INTERNA- TIONAL MONEY ORDERS IN U.S. FUNDS. No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or its Superintendent assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner s agent. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COMPLETENESS OF ENTRY RESTS SOLELY WITH THE ENTRANT. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for bitches in season. There is no refund for DUPLICATE ENTRIES or OVERPAYMENTS. The Superintendent will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if entry has been processed, no refund will be made. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open, or to complete the Show NO REFUND will be made. RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. The Superintendent will add a $20.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor or agent may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY BASIS. FAX ENTRIES Fax entries will be accepted up to closing time. Fee is $4.00 per dog per show. If the credit card charge is denied for any reason, an additional service charge of $20.00 will be added. FAX NUMBER: (360) This is for Fax Machine ONLY. Incomplete or illegible Fax entries are not acceptable as a valid entry in a show. Proof of transmission is not proof of receipt of a legible or complete transmission (under AKC Rule Ch. 11, Sec. 4). A Fax-Friendly entry blank PDF is available for download at REFUNDS for cancellations due to judge change or cancellations made prior to entries closing will be mailed to said Exhibitor or Agent AFTER THE SHOW. An administrative fee of $5.00 will be withheld from all refunds for entries cancelled prior to the closing of entries. Entries will be acknowledged after entries close with entry acknowledgment and judging program to address on entry. Should Exhibitor NOT receive an acknowledgment within a reasonable time, PLEASE notify the Superintendent at (360) or dogshows@barayevents.com. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Superintendent will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of Breed or Class Judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. Only dogs eligible for these shows will be admitted into the show area. There is no provision for unentered dogs. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. TROPHIES & PRIZES will be awarded in the ring to the person exhibiting the dog. No awards will be mailed. ALL RIGHTS TO TELEVISE, VIDEOTAPE, ADVERTISE, PHOTOGRAPH, PROMOTE or otherwise exploit this event are vested in the Club, or in persons to whom assignments of such rights have been made in writing by the Club. All persons and animals on the Show Grounds at any time while the show is in progress, do by attending this show or participating therein, grant to the Club the right to photograph, televise, videotape, audiotape or otherwise use their likeness and voice in any manner without further release or consent. The Club is not responsible for the actions or products of the commercial vendors at this show. We would like to return here every year in the future so we are asking everyone to please act responsibly and to follow a few simple rules. Anyone violating any of these rules will be subject to an AKC bench show hearing or a sanction from the club. No exercise pens allowed in the building due to space limitations and sanitary considerations This is a smoke-free show site. Smoking will not be permitted in the Ballrooms or crate areas There will be no space for unentered dogs in the Show Ring, Crating or Grooming areas Exhibitors and handlers are required to keep their grooming and parking areas clean both during and after the show. Please set a good example of responsible dog ownership to our spectators and help us retain this site for future events Parents are expected to supervise their children at all times All dogs must be carried or crated through the lobby area, hallways and elevators Each exhibitor is responsible to pick up after his/her own dog(s) The Show Chairman or any club member will have the authority to maintain order in the hotel, grooming area and parking lot All club members will be policing the hotel grounds and anyone found in violation of the rules will be reported to the Show Chairman. 3 AKC Rules, Regulations, Policies and Guidelines are available on the American Kennel Club Web site, AGREEMENT I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. Additionally, I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this event, however such, injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same may have been caused or may be alleged to have been caused by the negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other persons. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e, age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)
