3 PRE-NOVICE CLASS NON-REGULAR CLASS DESIGNATIONS The Pre-Novice Class shall be for dogs that have not received a third qualifying score in a Novice Class prior to the closing of the trial. The owner or any other person may handle dogs in this class. Owners may enter more than one dog in this class. However if a person has handled more than one dog in the first four exercises, that person must provide a handler for the additional dog in the same Group Exercise. All exercises will be scored as in the Novice Class, except the dogs will perform all exercises on leash, which should be 6 feet in length. VETERANS CLASS The Veterans Class will be for dogs that have an obedience title and are at least 7 years old on the date of the trial. The exercises will be performed and judged as in the Novice Class. 5 ********************************************************* NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS A $.50 AKC recording fee will be required for each dog entered at every show held under the rules of the AKC. If a dog is entered in more than one class at a show, the recording fee applies only to the first entry. A $3.00 AKC event service fee will be required for the first entry of a dog and a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same dog in regular and non-regular single entry classes will be required in all AKC licensed and member club events. At every licensed or member club rally trial a recording fee of $3.00 shall be required for each entry of each dog. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. UNSIGNED CHECKS AND RETURNED CHECKS DO NOT CONSTITUTE A VALID ENTRY FEE. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a judge or veterinarian, or barred from competition by the action of the Trial Committee. Any exhibitor whose bitch has come in season after the closing date may obtain a refund of their entry, less $10.00 for administration expenses, upon presentation of a Veterinarian s certificate to the Show Secretary prior to the start of any class the morning of the show. No entry will be refunded if the Trial cannot be open or completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, as Act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club. The show-giving Club assumes no responsibility for any loss, damages or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children. The owner or handler of each dog is solely responsible for the presence of their dogs at ringside when it is judged. Judges are not obligated to wait for any dog.
