3 IMPORTANT INFORMATION 1. Entries must reach the Show Secretary, Gwen Lattin, 5092 Lolina Lane, Cypress, CA , by 6:00 PM PST, Wednesday, February 10, 2016 after which time no entries may be accepted, canceled, changed, substituted, corrected, completed or signed, and no entry fees refunded. Telephone and telegraph entries are not acceptable. Class changes and cancellations must be received in writing prior to closing date, except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the AKC Dog Show Rules. All entry forms must be signed, and photocopies must include the back with the Agreement; otherwise, the entry cannot be accepted and will be returned. This club and/or its show secretary assume no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or agent of the owner. This club and its show secretary assume no responsibility for the owner or owner's agents entering a dog in a class in which the dog is not eligible to compete, or for entering the same dog twice. 2. Returned Checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. There will be a $25.00 charge for returned checks. Returned checks MUST BE MADE GOOD by cash or money order BEFORE the dog will be allowed in the ring. 3. For credit card entry service contact: BEST IN SHOW ENTRY SERVICE: (800) Additional electronic entry may be received by scanning a completed official entry form as a jpg or pdf file to the Show Secretary lattingl@sbcglobal.net Once the files are received an invoice will be sent to the sender. This invoice allows the sender to pay by PayPal or by credit card directly to PayPal. There will a $5.00 charge per dog to use this service. PayPal will acknowledge payment. The show secretary will send confirmation of entries received along with judging schedule. Questions, please call (714) Judging programs will be mailed to the address given on the entry blank. If not received within a reasonable time prior to the show, notify the show secretary. 5. During the hours of judging owners are to be on call, and have their dogs ready to bring into the judging ring promptly, In order that the judging will not be delayed. Dogs need only be present for their judging. Dogs not needed for further judging may be excused. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the entrance of the judging ring when the steward calls for the class. Owners of dogs or the handlers of the dogs alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. This means it is not the responsibility of the ring steward, or of any agent of the show-giving club to locate any dog, its owner or handler, when the dog's presence is needed in a judging ring. It should be understood by every exhibitor and handler that waiting for dogs to be brought into the ring is a courtesy extended to the owner or handler of the dog. There is no rule of this club or of The American Kennel Club that requires a judge to wait for an owner or handler to bring his dog into the ring.

4 6. Trophies and prizes will be awarded in the judging ring before the completion of the judging of the breed and the show secretary's office advised at once, in the event of any discrepancy. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed. 7. Exhibitors are admonished to familiarize themselves with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this premium list. Rule books are available at the All-Breed Superintendent s table at the shows or may be obtained from the A.K.C., P.O. Box , Raleigh, NC The club or its show secretary will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any dog exhibited, whether the result of accident or other causes and in addition assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by an exhibitor or handler. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care and custody and control of his owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. 9. No grooming tables, pens or exhibitors setups will be allowed in the aisles and all grooming must be done away from the judging ring in areas specified by the club. 10. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by veterinarian or judge, barred from competition by action of the Event Show Committee, or because the dog is ineligible to compete due to being entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fee for duplicate entry. 11. There is no provision offered for unentered dogs at this show. 12. Declination of Entries. The Bichon Frise Club of San Diego, Inc. may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or other causes, and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the Kennel Club or any official thereof. 13. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry will be made. 14. Do not leave any dogs in closed vehicles. 15. A Recording Fee of 50 cents per dog, an Event Services Fee of $3.00 per entry and a $3.00 Rally Fee will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. These fees are to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2.) 16. Dogs which according to their owners' records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for the show but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed or Variety Competition, provided this transfer is made by the Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of the earliest Conformation judging at the Show. 17. No practicing allowed in rings at any time. 18. Parents and/or guardians are responsible for the actions of their children.

Dogs that are Champions of Record. Dogs which according to their owner's records have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed. The entry and showing of dogs whose championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a championship according to the owner's records. If, at the end of the 90-day period, the championship of a dog has not been confirmed by the American Kennel Club, no further entries of the dog for Best of Breed competition are to be made until its championship has been confirmed by the AKC."

6 NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES STUD DOG CLASS For dogs that have sired 2 dogs or bitches in this show. The award is based on the merits of the get. The owner of the Stud Dog need not be the owner of the get. As the judge s decision in this class will be based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in the class, will be eligible to compete for Best Of Breed by virtue of having won this class. The Stud Dog must appear in the ring with his get and be entered in the Stud Dog class. BROOD BITCH CLASS Same as Stud Dog, except change Stud Dog to Brood Bitch, get to produce and sired to whelped. BEST AND BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX PUPPY FROM THE REGULAR CLASSES (AM AND PM SHOWS) Winners of the 6 and under 9 month and the 9 and under 12 month Classes will compete for Best Puppy and Best Opposite Sex to Best Puppy. SWEEPSTAKES (AM SHOW ONLY) Open to all Bichon Frise that are 6 months of age and under 15 months of age on the day of the show February 26, Champions of Record and dogs with major points are eligible. Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be handled by a non-professional handler. All entries in Puppy Sweepstakes MUST be entered in a Regular Class at this Specialty. Entry shall be made at the same time and on the same entry form as for Regular Classes. Indicate your Sweepstakes class with the age in the space provided for Additional Classes. ENTRY FEE for the Puppy Sweepstakes shall be $17.00, plus the entry fee for the Regular Class. 7 15% of the total entry fees will be retained for Club expenses. The remainder will be divided into seven (7) equal parts. One-seventh shall be divided between Best Puppy in Sweepstakes (60%) and Best of Opposite Sex to Best Puppy in Sweepstakes (40%). The remaining six-sevenths, become the Sweepstakes Fund and will be divided into six (6) parts and will be divided among the winners of each class as follows: First prize 40% Second prize 30% Third prize 20% Fourth prize 10% RIBBONS FIRST through FOURTH PLACE ribbon will be awarded in the Classes. Multi-Colored Rosette Trophies, ribbons and other prizes will be awarded in the judging ring to the person exhibiting the dog, who shall be considered the owner or its agent. All claims for prizes must be made in the judging ring before the completion of the judging and the superintendent or show secretary advised at once of the discrepancy. The Club reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. No trophies will be shipped. FOUR-TO-SIX MONTH BEGINNER PUPPY COMPETITION The Four-to-Six Month Beginner Puppy competition shall be for dogs that are four months of age and over but under six months on the day of the event. Classes will not be divided by sex in this competition. There will be a selection of Best 4 and Under 6 Months Puppy and Best of Opposite Sex to Best 4 and Under 6 Months Puppy. Entry and eligibility requirements include: The Four-to-Six Month Puppy event may be offered at licensed or member dog shows at the option of the show giving club. Four-to-Six Month Puppy Competition must be listed in the premium list, entry form and judging schedule, if offered. AKC registration number or an AKC litter number will be required for all entries of an AKC recognized breed as listed in Chapter 3, Section 1 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows. A foreign born dog may enter this class if they are registered in the country of origin. FSS number or FSS registered litter number will be required for Miscellaneous and FSS breed entries. All entrants are to be vaccinated (including rabies) in accordance with their veterinarian s protocol. Dogs that are owned or co-owned by a professional handler may compete in this class, but must be handled by a non-professional handler. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay. Dogs may not be exhibited by current assistants and household members of a professional handler.

12 AKC Rules, Regulations, Policies and Guidelines are available on the American Kennel Club Web site, AGREEMENT I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e, age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his/her name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.) 5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience, and Rally trials should mark Breed as All-American Dog/Mixed Breed. Sire and Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants. 15 OVERNIGHT PARKING Limited spaces with full hook-ups are available through the Fairgrounds on a first come, first served basis. For availability and reservations, call (619) No generators in use before 6:00 am or after 10:00 pm. Privileged set up and move in parking on show grounds Charge $35.00 for each night. If advanced payment for privileged parking is not paid by February 1, 2016, no guarantee of parking in preferred area can be made. If paid at gate on night before show, charge is $40.00 per night, with no guarantee parking. REQUIREMENT All units must be self-contained, no water. ELECTRICITY Because of rising costs, electricity will be very limited in the three show buildings. It will not be available anywhere outside, except for motor homes. Security guards on duty. No holding of parking space for others. Exhibitors will be held responsible for clean conditions in and around their motor homes, both during and after the show. Waste water may not be emptied on the grounds or drained into open containers. Any unnecessary argument or abusive language will cause forfeiture of parking privileges, without a refund. HANDICAPPED PARKING is available to those with proper DMV plates. Handicapped parking is to provide easy (paved) access, not necessarily next to the rings. Silver Bay Kennel Club and the Bichon Frise Club of San Diego assume no responsibility for fire, theft and/or loss or damage to any vehicle or its cargo. All parking is at your own risk. All Motor home Parking will enter through the Solana Gate only. Specialty parking available after 1:00 PM Thursday. No entrance into buildings until 6:00 AM Friday. 18 IMPORTANT - NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS All buildings will be open at 6:00 AM. Exhibitors many not set up prior to this time. Sorry, no exceptions. Exercise pens will not be allowed in any building. Crates must be stacked. Flexible and/or retractable leads are prohibited in and around all the buildings during show hours. Crates and tables will not be allowed in the aisles of the show area, or within 30 feet of any ring unless marked otherwise. Exhibitor s area will be east of the Bing Crosby Hall. Private exercise pens may be set up in this area, not in the buildings. Handlers and exhibitors may set up exercise pens in this area and may work out of their trucks or vans. Electricity will be very limited inside all buildings. Please bring your own chairs. Guards will patrol throughout the show. No parking in fire lanes (which are 20 feet from buildings.) No crates, pens, grooming or parking of vehicles will be permitted between the Bing Crosby Hall and Exhibit Hall and Pat O'Brien Pavilion. If your dog soils the parking lot or show grounds, it is your responsibility to clean up after it. By signing the entry form at this show you are agreeing that all clean-up is your responsibility.
