My aunt was a breeder/handler of BIS/BISS winning Great Danes. She got my sister and I involved with show dogs at an extremely early age. My sister and I started with Afghan Hounds, but purchased our first Saluki in 1982 when I was age 8. I have loved Salukis ever since, breeding 6 Saluki litters and finishing many Champions, Field Champions, & Obedience Titled Salukis. My husband and I were the 2012 American Saluki Association Breeders of the Year. We have bred & owned Multiple Top 10 Salukis and Multiple Group-Winning Salukis and a Multiple Best In Show/Multiple Best in Specialty Winner. I also was given my first Border Collie when I was 11 years old. I enjoyed obedience & herding events with her and have always owned a Border Collie since that time. I have been an AKC Licensed Junior Showmanship judge since I was 18 years old. 4 Special Criteria for Entry to Performance Class A Class for Dogs with titles in one or more of the listed venues: Lure Coursing (AKC & ASFA), Rally, Obedience, Agility, Tracking & Scent Work, etc. NON-REGULAR (ADDITIONAL) CLASSES Involving Single Dog Entries VETERAN DOG - A Class for Dogs seven (7) years and under ten (10) years VETERAN BITCH - A Class for Bitches seven (7) years and under ten (10) years SUPER VETERAN DOG A class for Dogs over ten (10) years SUPER VETERAN BITCH A Class for Bitches over ten (10) years. Veterans may be shown spayed or neutered Best Veteran is eligible to compete for BOB ALTERED DOG CLASS Not eligible for Best of Breed Competition ALTERED BITCH CLASS Not eligible for Best of Breed Competition NON-REGULAR (ADDITIONAL) CLASSES Involving Multiple Dog Entries As the judge s decision in the Non-Regular Classes involving Multiple Dog Entries is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judges first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won these classes. STUD DOG CLASS For Stud Dog and two or more of their Get. It is not necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as that of the Stud Dog. The Stud Dog may be entered separately in one of the regular classes, or if a Champion of Record in Best of Breed Competition, but MUST be entered in the Stud Dog Class, the Get MUST be entered in one of the regular classes. The Stud Dog shall be considered as one entry and requires one entry fee, this being the regular fee plus the additional class fee if the Stud Dog is entered in another class. The Stud Dog must be shown in the ring with the Get. The class will be judged on the merits of the Get. BROOD BITCH CLASS Same as for the Stud Dog except substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. FAMILY/PROGENY CLASS Same as for Stud Dog/Brood Bitch, except that the progeny or family of a single dog is shown. This class is to show two or more generations descending from the entered Dog or Bitch. There is no limit to the size of the entry descending from a single Dog/Bitch. Spayed & neutered get are allowed in this class. PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES

5 Judge: Judy Lowther REQUIREMENTS & CLASSIFICATION Sweepstakes is open to all Azawakh that are at least 4 months of age & under 18 months of age on the day of the show. Dogs shown in Sweepstakes must also be entered in one of the regular classes at the regular entry fee and on the regular entry form. Indicate your Sweepstakes Class with the age division in the space provided for "Additional Class." The following classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches. Puppy, 4 Months & Under 6 Months Puppy, 6 Months & Under 12 Months Junior, 12 Months & Under 18 Months DIVISION OF ENTRY MONEY AS PRIZES 25% of the entry fees will be retained by the club for expenses. The remaining 75% will be divided as follows: Best in Sweepstakes...10% of Sweepstakes Entries Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Sweepstakes...5% of Sweepstakes Entries The remainder will be divided in each class as follows: 1st - 40% 2nd - 30% 3rd - 20% 4th - 10% ENTRY FEES First Entry of Each Dog - $24.00 Additional Entry of same dog, unless otherwise specified - $18.00 Puppy Classes (6-9, 9-12, months) $15.00 Stud Dog, Brood Bitch, Progeny/Family Classes, as an Additional Class - $12.00 Sweepstakes $20.00 When a dog is entered in more than one class, the highest priced class is considered the first entry. Each dog or bitch may enter ONLY ONE class leading to Best of Breed. Day of show entries will be accepted until 3:00 PM. $40.00 All Regular and Sweepstakes Classes Day of show entries will not appear in the catalog THE AMERICAN AZAWAKH ASSOCIATION WILL HOLD A GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING BEFORE THE SPECIALTY AT A TIME TO BE DETERMINED.

6 Entry Fee will not be refunded if a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or judge or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. No entry fees will be refunded if the Show cannot open or be completed because of riots, civil disturbances, fire, extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club. The show giving Club, their members, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. This also applies to cleaning up after your dog at the hotel/motel grounds. Routes to the Show Site From the West: Take Interstate 90 East to Madison, Ohio Rt. 528 Exit (stay in right hand lane in construction area); head North on Rt. 528 to Chapel Rd. (Rt. 528 becomes Hubbard Rd. upon crossing Rt. 20 Intersection), turn left on Chapel Rd., drive approximately 1.8 miles. The show site is on the North side of Chapel Rd., or Take State Rt. 2 East until it ends at Rt. 20; follow Rt. 20 East to McMackin Rd.; turn left on McMackin Rd. to Chapel Rd.; turn right on Chapel Rd. to show grounds. From the East: Take Interstate 90 West to Madison, Ohio, Rt. 528 Exit and follow the above directions. Attention Exhibitors Parking Notice: In case of inclement weather, ALL parking is at the discretion & risk of the owner/driver.

No hookups - no reservations required - first come, first served. $5.00 per vehicle General Parking per day. 3 Day Weekend Pass available for $ The grounds will be available to exhibitors on Wednesday, 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and on Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 6:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. Absolutely no admission to the grounds until 3:00 P.M., Wednesday. All Whippet RVs will be across from the Whippet ring. You must notify the parking attendants that you are there for the Whippet Specialty. Overnight vehicles are parked on a first come, first served basis. If you want to park with someone, you must enter the grounds with them. No exceptions. All overnight vehicles must be parked 15' apart from side of vehicle to side of vehicle and 10'end to end. This will be enforced under Order of Lake County General Health District. Any vehicle requiring sewage disposal may call Disposal will be at owner's expense. There are no disposal sites on the grounds. All vehicles remaining on the grounds overnight will be assessed the overnight parking fee OF $20.00 NO EXCEPTIONS! All belongings must be removed from the show grounds by 6:00 P.M. Sunday. Grooming tent available for exhibitors on first come, first served basis. Absolutely no crates under tent or in ring aisles. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e, age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his/her name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.) 5.
