Entry fee will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. Post Dated Checks & Returned Checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitor may result in them being put on a CASH ONLY basis. No entry fees will be refunded if Show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes and/or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Show Secretary. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Entries will not be accepted without fees or signatures or the Agreement on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing prior to close of entries. No dog wrongly entered in a class may be transferred to another class (except in case of wrong sex), nor can a dog be withdrawn after entries have closed. Except,...a correction may be made in the sex of a dog or a dog may be transferred from one division of the Puppy Class to another or between the Puppy and Twelve-to-Eighteen Month Class at a show prior to the judging, and except that dogs which according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for a show but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed or Variety competition at least one half hour prior to the scheduled start of the show. There will be no refunds for duplicate entries. The club will retain a $2.00 processing fee for entries pulled before the closing date. The owner or agent assumes all responsibilities for wrong or incomplete information of the entry blank. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date.

3 CONFORMATION TROPHIES Challenge Trophy s Best of Breed The Collie Club of Colorado offers from the estate of Lifetime club member, Lucille Kamber: From Schmid-Border Fine Arts "Winter Lamb". This limited edition sculpture has been mounted on a rectangular base. For permanent possession, this trophy must be won three times by the exact same registered owner(s), not necessarily with the same dog nor at consecutive shows. Until retired, this trophy will remain in the possession of the Collie Club of Colorado. (valued at $1,000.00) The Dian Boberick Memorial Trophy: A bronze sculpture of a playful collie sitting on a braided rug by PiperAnne Worcester. The trophy shall be awarded to the Best Puppy (chosen from the winners of the puppy classes). A plaque with the name of the owner and dog will be permanently attached to the base of the trophy. The winner will receive a rainbow and blue rosette commemorating the win. Bred-by-Exhibitor American Bred Open WINNERS Best of Variety Competition Effective for all shows held on or after July 1, 1980, dogs which according to their owner s records have completed the requirements for a Championship after the closing of entries for this show, but whose Championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the Regular Classes to the Best of Breed or Variety Competition, provided this transfer is made by the Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of regular judging at this show.(akc Rules, Chapter 11, Sect 6) NON-REGULAR CLASSES INVOLVING SINGLE DOG ENTRIES Entry Fee: $21.00 Judge: Mrs. Roxann Heit (AM) Judge: Mrs. Joan E Kirkland (PM) Classes will be divided for Rough and Smooth dogs and bitches. The First Place winners of these classes will be eligible for Best of Variety competition. Note: Chapter 11, Sect 8 of the Dog Show Rules provides that castrated males and spayed females may be entered in the Veteran classes at Independent Specialties. AKC National Owner-Handled Series The AKC National Owner-Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners that are not professional handlers. All dogs that are owner-handled and are not owned or exhibited by professional handlers*meet the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner-Handled eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the steward s book & the catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the breed level competition for the regular show by an eligible owner. Professional handlers, household members and assistants to current professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in any breed competition during the entire show. Owner-Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes. If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will automatically be Owner-Handled Best Of Breed/Variety and be eligible to compete in both the regular as well as the Owner-Handled group. If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is not eligible for Owner-Handled competition and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety is eligible, the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety will compete against the eligible exhibits of the other sex to determine Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety. If neither the Best of Breed nor the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety are Owner- Handled competition eligible and Select Dog & Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch. If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all champions and non-regular class winners of the same sex and then choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex including the eligible winner. If the regular show Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, Select Dog & Select Bitch are not eligible, the judge may choose any eligible dog who competed in Best of Breed including Winners Dog or Winners Bitch as the Best of Breed/Variety for the AKC National AKC Owner-Handled Series. The breed will not be represented in the Owner-Handled Group if there is no eligible dog competing in the Best of Breed, or in Best of Winners competition. *Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay or received payment for handling a dog within the last 5 years. Open Class For boys and girls at least 9 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show, and who have won three first place awards in a Novice class in a licensed or member show, with competition present in the Novice class.. The following divisions are offered for both the Novice Class and the Open Class: Junior: must be at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show. Intermediate: must be at least 12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show. Senior: must be at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show. The winner of a Novice Class shall automatically become eligible, upon notice to the Open Class ring steward, to enter and compete in the Open Class at the same show provided the win is the third (3rd) first place award with competition and further providing there are one or more Junior Handlers competing in the Open Class. Master Class For boys and girls at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won 10 Best Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC Eukanuba National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year. Best Junior Handler will be offered provided there will be competition, a minimum of two class winners present to compete for the award. Reserve Best Junior Handler will be offered provided there will be competition, a minimum of two class winners present to compete for the award. Each dog handled in a regular Jr Showmanship class must be entered and shown in one of the breed or obedience classes at the show, or must be entered for Jr. Showmanship only. However, a dog that must be withdrawn for good and sufficient reason, such as a bitch in season, or a veterinarians excuse, may be replaced by another dog meeting the below ownership requirements. Such substitution must be requested in writing stating the reason for the substitution and must be accompanied by an official AKC entry form. All such requests must be made one half hour prior to the judging of any regular classes a t the show. Each dog must be owned or co-owned by the Junior Handler or Junior Handlers father, mother, sister, brother, uncle, aunt, grandfather, or grandmother, including the corresponding step and half relations. Every dog entered for Junior Showmanship must be eligible to compete in Dog Shows or in Obedience Trials. Bitches in season are not eligible. At a Specialty show, each dog must be of the breed for which the show is held. A dog that has been excused or disqualified by a breed judge or by a Bench Show Committee may still be handled in Junior Showmanship if eligible to compete in Obedience Trials. A dog that has been rejected, dismissed or excused by the veterinarian for the protection of the other dogs at the show or for the protection of the dog excused, may not be handled in Junior showmanship. Entries for Junior showmanship classes shall close at the same time that entries close for this show. Winning First Place in an Open Junior Showmanship Class at this show may qualify, or count toward qualification for entry in certain future limited Junior Showmanship Classes. The club will clearly state in its premium list whether transfers will or will not be allowed. If no statement is provided in the premium list the default is to allow transfers. After a dog earns a title, it may be transferred to another class in a future trial, even though the closing date for the trial has passed, provided the club offers transfers. A transfer (i.e., from an obedience class to an obedience class; or a rally class to a rally class) may be requested if, according to the owner s records the handler and dog are eligible and the dog has completed the requirements for the title after the closing date of the trial in which the advanced entry is to be made. The request for a transfer must be in writing and presented to the superintendent or trial secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. Transfers may be approved provided the class and judge are available, and the class has not reached its limit. Transfer from an A and B class at the same level are allowed provided the host club allows transfers. (when a club does not allow transfers, refer to Section 16b. Entry of Ineligible Dog.) (Variety) If you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in., but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his/her name. ATTENTION EXHIBITORS [see Terry-All Premium for updated Attention Exhibitor rules that apply specifically to Adams County Regional Park] The Show Site will be available to all exhibitors at 7:00 am on Friday, April 08, Dogs must be removed from the show site immediately following Best in Show judging on Sunday, April 10, Parking will be under the rules of the Adams County Regional Park. There is a fee for overnight parking. (see Terry-All Premium on Onofrio.com) The fairgrounds are locked at 11:00 pm. No cars will be allowed in or out. Please observe the No Parking & Reserved Parking areas. Vehicles parked in fire lanes & no parking zones & unauthorized vehicles parked in the reserved parking areas are subject to being towed at the owners expense. No dogs may be left unattended overnight. Clean-Up: Please respect the site and clean up your area during and after the shows. Please bring plastic baggies and clean-up after your dogs. Disaster/Emergency Plan: The Plan is available at the secretary s table. Grooming: Reserved Grooming will be in the Indoor Arena only. Miscellaneous: A complete veterinarian Emergency Hospital will be on call. Exhibitors are responsible for the charges they incur. No double handling will be permitted at these shows. Individuals who attempt to double handle from outside the ring will be subject to action by the Bench Show committee. The welfare of an exhibitor s child is the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is expressly understood that the exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children while they are on the show premises. Failure to do so could result in a Bench Show Committee being held. No baby strollers or carts are allowed on the arena floor. Waiver of Rights Do not leave dogs in closed vehicles. The club reserves the right to remove any animal in distress from a parked vehicle or crate and all persons attending these dog shows hereby waive any claim for any damages that result from such actions. DO NOT LEAVE DOGS IN CLOSED VEHICLES! The show giving club, the show secretary, Adams County Fairgrounds, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club, nor it s show secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of breed or class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. All dogs present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged. Trophy Information: All trophies must be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed.
