Crates ONLY may be taken to ringside during the judging of the breed. All crates MUST BE REMOVED upon completion of breed judging. TENTS OR CANOPIES MAY BE SET UP ON FRIDAY ONLY. Be sure to keep aisle ways clear. A designated grooming area will be provided. The grooming area is indoors. All fire lanes must be kept clear. NO DOGS MAY BE LEFT IN THE GROOMING AREA OVERNIGHT. BEST OF BREED COMPETITION The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed (Variety) Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which according to their owner s records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed champions in Best of Breed (Variety) Competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. Selects will be chosen following Best of Breed. NON-REGULAR CLASSES (INVOLVING MULTIPLE DOG ENTRIES) Note: As the judge s decision in these classes will be based on the merits of more than one dog, no one of the dogs making up the entry judged first in the class will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won the class. Ch. 11, Sec. 8 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows provides that a castrated male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed bitch may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class. Stud Dog Class: For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their get. The owner of the stud dog need not necessarily be owner of the get. While the merits of the stud dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the stud dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard of the breed. Get must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed Competition, or some other Non-Regular class. Entry Fee $28.00 as original entry, or $18.00 as additional entry. Brood Bitch Class: For Brood Bitches and two of their Produce. Brood Bitch must be entered in the Brood Bitch Class and must be shown in the ring with their Produce. The owner of the brood bitch need not necessarily be owner of the produce. While the merits of the brood bitch are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the brood bitch must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog Show Rules, AKC policy, or the standard of the breed. Produce must be entered in a regular class, Best of Breed Competition, or some other Non- Regular class. Entry Fee $28.00 as original entry, or $18.00 as additional entry. All entries in Sweepstakes MUST also be entered in a regular class or Best of Breed at this show. Entry fee is for each dog and entries must be made at the same time and on the same entry form as the Regular Classes. The information on the next page is from the cluster parking managers. Note that if you want to be with the club, you MUST reserve a minimum of Thursday through Saturday nights. Also note the very early deadline to Larry. No day rate offered except as noted under Extra Car. Parking spaces are 22 ft. wide x length of vehicle. If you have a slide-out and it will not fit in 22 ft., you must get two spaces. You may park one extra car behind your vehicle for an additional $35 for the weekend. You will be asked to supply the license number of the car that will be parked in your space. Please DO NOT invite your visiting friends to come and park in your space. Visitors must park in day parking. In order to keep our very special parking privileges at this cluster, we will be monitoring parking carefully and unauthorized cars will be required to leave. 8 DAY PARKING INFORMATION The overnight and day parking is a privilege extended by the Clackamas Kennel Club, Inc., the Parking agent and the Clackamas County Fair. They reserve the right to withdraw this privilege from any person(s) who feel they cannot abide by the rules or resort to abusive language and/or other tactics. Any vehicle whose driver or occupant uses abusive language, argues with parking personnel or attempts to circumvent the rules and regulations will be asked to leave and will forfeit their parking privilege without a refund. All parking is at your own risk. If you park in a no parking area, you will be towed at the owner s expense. The Clackamas Kennel Club, Inc., the Clackamas County Fairgrounds and the Parking agents assume no responsibility or liability. Due to the increased demand for reserved parking at this show, there will be a limited amount of parking with electrical hookup. These spaces will be assigned by the earliest postmark and size of vehicle. 1. ALL VEHICLES MUST BE SELF-CONTAINED. NO DISCHARGE OF WASTE WATER ON GROUNDS. 2. Limited handicap day and overnight parking available will be assigned. Anyone requesting handicap parking MUST have a valid Handicap Parking permit or plate. HANDICAP PARKING DOES NOT MEAN INSIDE THE FAIRGROUNDS OR NEAR THE RINGS. It only indicates readily accessible surface. Handicap reservations must be postmarked no later than June 3, Only those with paid overnight reserved parking permits will be allowed in the reserved parking area. All others will be asked to leave. 4. Exhibitors are responsible for damages and clean-up of their parking space. 5. Person s providing incorrect vehicle length will be moved to overflow parking. 6. Returned checks will be assessed a $25.00 fee. Overnight parking of self-contained vehicles will be available by reservation. Spaces will be assigned in the order reservations are received. 9 ADDITIONAL SHOW RULES Class Cash Prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging is over and the Show Secretary advised at once. The Club, On-Site Secretary, and/or BaRay Events disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of the class is over. All dogs must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercising pen. No drilling nor intensive or corrective training of dogs on the show grounds or premises. All dogs shall be kept on leash except when in the obedience or agility ring. No Flexi Leads or Halter-type collars or pinch collars on the show grounds. Exhibitors are responsible for maintaining clean conditions in and around their crates/set-up. All regulations governing the use of the event facility and all regulations and decisions of the Event Committee will be strictly enforced, including any not recorded in this Premium List. All persons attending this event hereby waive any claim for damages against the Club, their members or agents, in the event a motor vehicle must be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or suffocation due to improper ventilation. Dogs found in an unsafe environment, distress or harm s way (for example: left unattended on a grooming table in a noose not attached to a safety release clip) will be removed to safety by the Club officials or security personnel. Exposing a dog to an unsafe environment, distress or harm s way will be investigated by the Event Committee. THE GREAT PYRENEES CLUB OF AMERICA, INC. 10 DIRECTIONS TO SHOW SITE CLACKAMAS COUNTY EVENT CENTER Southbound: Take I-205 from north of Vancouver to exit #9, Oregon City. Follow signs to 99E, which goes through Oregon City to Canby (it s about 8 miles from Oregon City to Canby). You can see the Event Center to the right as you approach Canby. Look for Event Center road signs. OR Continue southbound on I-5 through the Portland metropolitan area and take exit #282A, Canby- Hubbard. Turn slight right onto Hubbard Cutoff Road NE/Wilsonville Hubbard Hwy. Turn Left onto Amdt Road NE. Stay straight to go onto South Knights Bridge Road. Turn Right onto North Grant Street. 15 NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ALL EVENTS The American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations will govern this Show and Exhibitors must make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany this Show Premium List. The American Kennel Club will collect: a $3.00 Event Service Fee and $.50 Recording Fee where applicable for the first entry of a dog, plus a $3.00 service fee for each additional entry of the same dog in the regular and non-regular recordable single-entry classes, in all AKC licensed and member club events. At every licensed or member club rally trial, a recording fee of $3.50 is required for the first entry of each dog and a recording fee of $3.00 is required for each additional entry of the same dog. The event-giving club shall assume the responsibility of collecting all Event Service Fees for The American Kennel Club. These event service and recording fees shall be forwarded to The American Kennel Club along with all other required event results within seven (7) days of the close of the event. No Entry will be accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telegraph, and unsigned entries cannot be accepted and will be returned. Entries not on Official AKC Entry Forms and Photocopies of Entry Forms without Agreement and Rules on reverse side are NOT ACCEPTABLE. The Club and/or Baray Events assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or the owner s agent. LOSS OR DAMAGE The Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of any accident or misfortune, to either dogs or exhibitors participating in these Shows. The welfare of an Exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the Exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that Exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations.
