He did so well he received an invitation to compete in Bred By at the prestigious Eukanuba Invitational in He became friends with Eric Norby at our weekly class and Eric guided him the rest of the way until he finished at the 2005 Sacramento Specialty under Judge Lee Brown. I started going to see the litter when they were a week old. She is the penultimate BITCH. She likes to growl at people in greeting and then lean on them for pets. Gaia is a bed hog. I often find myself without pillows or blankets. If you try to move her she just moans. She finished her AKC conformation championship last November at the age of 3. She was beautifully trained by Theresa Royer and shown by Theresa, Krystal Woodrow & Michael McGuire. While all of her points came at the allbreeds, she also went second in her Maturity class last year. Gaia loves to herd. She has one leg towards her Started sheep title in AKC and seems to continue improving. When she is bad, she stares me in the eye and wags her tail. It is so hard not to smile. Gaia also enjoys agility and taught herself the teeter-totter by watching the other dogs do it and get treats. One day she just went and did it, and then stood there waiting for me to come over and feed her. She is looking forward to having babies and was recently bred to Jezra s Daytona. Gregor I am very proud to present my lovely gal: Best in Show CH. Fairway's Tee Time Bodega TC, OFA; AKA known as TINA. This beautiful young lady is now 10½ years young. She stole my heart when I first set eyes on her when she was just over a year of age. Before I knew it she was in my home within a month. Tina loves to play ball and if given the opportunity would play 24 hours a day. She loves everyone, especially my grandchildren, and her breeder, Terry Cochran and her best friend and handler, Art Sinclair. Our main highlight of her show career was in July We just came off a circuit in the Northwest winning 3 Majors, 1 Best Opposite Sex, 2 Best of Breeds and 2 Group Placings. The following weekend, here in our backyard, she won another Best of Breed and a Group 3. That day completed her championship. Then when we thought it couldn t get any better, the next day Tina won the Breed, won a Group 1 and Best In Show. I can t explain how exciting that was. It was one of the most memorable days of my life. Tina was shown some following that big day, winning more Best of Breeds and Group Placings. Then when she was in the whelping box producing beautiful babies of which two are Champions and another daughter is pointed, she was shown here last year in Veterens and won Best of Opposite Sex at 9½ years. At this time I want to share and say thank you to her breeder, Terry Cochran, for sharing with me this beautiful gal and to Art Sinclair for his exceptional handling job. Suddenly, I had a new friend, Tracy Radigan, who picked out the independent boy, who would say Hi, then go exploring. He went to doggy day care and loved playing with the other dogs. I never intended to show Monte in conformation, but with the excellent handling of Theresa Royer, we gave it a shot. Monte hated it, except for the liver and playing with Theresa. Though he did retire, one major short of his Championship and went Best Veteren and Best in Show at an International Show in I took Monte to protection training. He thought that barking at and Biting Allan was a lot of fun, but did not see the point in holding on to the sleeve. Once Allan would let it go, Monte would spit it out and look at Allan with that pick it up again look. I always intended to go herding with him. We have been herding for 5 years Page 13 of 14

14 and are now trialing at the advanced level in sheep and need one more leg for our intermediate duck title. This year, Monte is going to start herding cattle, since he has retired from the show ring. He also has titles in several other non-akc herding trials. Monte also loves agility. He thinks jumping 16 inches is really boring and only really pays attention when he has to jump 24 inches (or 26 inches when I put the jump up too high) There is nothing more beautiful than a German Shepherd Dog going over a 24 inch high triple jump. As anyone knows who has been to my house for a party, Monte is the best host. he greats people at the doorand escorts them in. He makes his way through the party checking on everyone and rarely sits down. Monte and I are also very excited, because his first litter is due on April 1. Monte is presented today by Theresa Royer.
