Hunt Field Class - For Dogs or Bitches that have earned any AKC Hunt Test title or who have received a Judge s Award of Merit (JAM) or better in any AKC Field Trial. Non-Regular Classes - multiple dog entries Stud Dog Class* - For Stud Dogs and two of their Get. The Stud Dog must be entered in the Stud Dog class and shown in the ring with his Get. It is not necessary that the Get be under the same ownership as the Stud Dog. Get must be entered in a Regular class, Best of Breed or some other non-regular class. If the Stud Dog is entered in another class, there is no charge for entering the Stud Dog Class. The Stud Dog may be entered in only Stud Dog class competition at the regular entry fee. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require disqualifi cation or be excused under the Stud Dog rules, AKC policy, or the standard for its breed. As the judge s decision in the Stud Dog class is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, none of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged fi rst in this class will be eligible for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class. Brood Bitch. Same class as Stud Dog, but substitute Brood Bitch for Stud Dog and Produce for Get. * Chapter 11, Section 8 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows provides that a neutered male may be entered as a Stud Dog in the Stud Dog Class and a spayed female may be entered as a Brood Bitch in the Brood Bitch Class. 3 Sweepstakes Requirements for Puppy Sweepstakes Open to any purebred Labrador Retriever, at least six (6) months of age and under eighteen (18) months of age on the day of the show, and which is entered in any of the regular classes at the Specialty Show at which these Sweepstakes are held. The Shawnee Mission Labrador Retriever Club and its members and Heritage Park assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children. The Shawnee Mission Labrador Retriever Club does not agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Offi cial AKC entry form for these events. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendations to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. A Recording Fee of $0.50 is required for each dog and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 is required for each recordable single entry class at any Licensed or Member Club Show. These fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. Canadian exhibitors must submit entries with checks drawn on US accounts or with International Money Orders in US Funds. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a $20.00 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks from the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a cash only basis. No refund for duplicate entries or for overpayments of less than $ No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifi es any condition as to its acceptance. Entries will not be accepted without fees or signatures. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing or by or telegram prior to close of entries. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. No dogs wrongly entered in a class may be transferred to another class except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the AKC Rules Applying to Dog Shows: a correction may be made in the sex of a dog, or a dog may be transferred from one division of the Puppy Class to another or between the Puppy and Twelve to Eighteen Month Class at a show prior to judging, and except that dogs which according to their owners s records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for a show but whose championships are unconfi rmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed competition, provided this transfer is made by the Event Secretary at least one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of any regular conformation judging at the show. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the club nor its Show Secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors of their agents of Breed or Class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed. The club reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. No RV Parking or camping allowed on the show grounds. NOTICE WAIVER OF RIGHTS. All persons attending this dog show hereby waive any claim for damages against the SMLRC Ltd, or its members; in the event a motor vehicle has to be entered to rescue a dog from overheating or improperly vented conditions. Agents may indicate their name on entry forms for inclusion in the catalog, provided they are 18 years old or older and neither own or co-own the dog. (Variety) If you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety your are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, parti-color); Beagles (not exceeding 13 inches, over 13 in., but not exceeding 15 in.); Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired); Collies (rough, smooth); Bull Terriers (colored, white); Manchester Terriers (standard, toy); Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat); English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles); Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfi rmed. The showing of unconfi rmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classifi cation in this premium list. If the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner, it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certifi cate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been made to AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.) 5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience, and Rally trials should mark Breed as All-American Dog/Mixed Breed. Sire and Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed entrants. Any abuse of the grounds will be brought to the attention of the show-giving club and its Show Committee. Any exhibitor s entries may be refused for previous misuse of the motel facilities.
