Specific direction was given to return the matter to the RPC for further discussion and public input. Further direction was given to assure that proper noticing of the adjacent residential community has occurred. Approximately 1,300 letters were mailed to adjacent residential and commercial addresses noticing the occupant of the Commission s meeting and the opportunity to attend and provide input if desired. Recipients of the letter who are unable to attend the Commission meeting but desire for their opinions to be heard have been encored to that information to me directly. As these communications may occur over time, correspondences will be collected until the commencement of your meeting and provided to the Commission at that time. Staff will be further evaluating perceived impacts caused by additional parking needs, hours of operation, noise and other factors that could realistically and potentially impact quality of life issues as well as any other issues that may be raised through the public comment. n addition to these efforts, staff of the Community Development Department are continuing to collect public comment associated with the Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) that has been developed and recommended for the site. The public comment opportunities associated with this concludes on August 20th Staff from the Community Development Department will be in attendance to provide the Commission with an overview of the MND and what comments have been received to date.

A city operated and publicly accessible off-leash dog park is being evaluated for a portion of city-owned property on the southeast corner of the intersection of Foothill Road and Alden Drive. Details such as rules of use, site furnishings, hours of operation, location(s) of ingress and egress, lighting, impacts to adjacent street parking, etc., are yet to be finalized. n those regards, public input is being sought and encouraged. The Recreation and Parks Commission meeting will occur on Tuesday, August 25th at 2:00pm in Room 280A, City Hall, 455 N. Rexford Drive, adjacent to the City Council Chambers.
