They are not needed to send in for certificate purposes. Only papers will be included for Novice and Open Go-to-Ground or Super Earth participates. All puppies must be current on their vaccinations and no puppies under 3 months of age will be allowed at the trial. No Exceptions. No puppy sales at trial site. No puppies under 3 months of age in RV s. If you have young puppies, please bring a Stud Certificate to verify age. This will be strictly enforced. You will be asked to leave and no refunds will be given. There will be no food service available at the park. There are many fast food restaurants nearby. Camping, Etc. Water and restroom facilities are available on site. Limited camping is also available. Camper hookups have 50 amp service so be prepared with adaptors. All Go-To-Ground Participants, Please Read! Due to excessive waits for people participating in GTG with one terrier, we are implementing a new procedure. If you choose to bring all of your terriers to GTG at one time, you may run one terrier and while you are getting your next terrier ready to go, you must let the next person in line run theirs. Every effort will be made to start trial events on time. Dogs late to racing or conformation will be scratched. NO REFUNDS for missed classes. REFUNDS for classes will be given ONLY in cases of accident or illness of a terrier or owner, or for bitches in season. Situations must be documented in writing. Refunds provided by mail within 14 days following the trial. ALL entries the day of the trial, except when a terrier moves up in Go-to-Ground, will be considered Post Entries and will be charged the post entry fee. 4 The Carolinas Jack Russell Terrier Club will again be using Trial Vault Trial-Management Services for the Autumn Fest I and II. Listed below are some details regarding this web-based program and what it will allow you to do as an exhibitor. Open online registration to let attendees start entering their dogs in your trial from anywhere with an internet connection. TrialVault ensures dogs can only enter the right classes, enforces cross-entry restrictions, totals bills for attendees, sends custom confirmation s, and accepts debit- and credit-card payments on your trial s behalf. After registration closes, TrialVault automatically generates class scoring forms. Accounts are free for attendees. There is no cost to set up a TrialVault account and enter terrier profiles. Once terrier information is entered into TrialVault, it is stored in the cloud and can be used to register in any TrialVault hosted trial. TrialVault stores terrier information in one place and tracks awards. If you ve entered a JRTCA-sanctioned terrier trial, you know about the detailed information you have to provide on all of your terriers date of birth, registration numbers, certificates, proof of registration, and more. Using TrialVault, you only enter this information once, and then we store it in a central database. All those details are ready when you need them, and registering for a new trial is as easy as a mouse click. TrialVault also keeps records of your terriers trail winnings. TrialVault is a web app that is continually improved and updated to the latest standards. Unlike old-fashioned desktop programs on your PC, TrialVault is a web-based application that is accessed through web browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer on desktop, laptops, and mobile devices. This means bugs can be fixed almost instantly and you always have the latest version. The CJRTC is asking for donations to put into a club raffle basket to be used at the 2017 JRTCA National Trial in October. We would like to ask each club member to bring a donation that is unique to your town, county or even state. We will put all of these items into a basket and deliver to the raffle tables at Nationals. Please bring your donations to Autumn Fest and deliver them to Martha Milligan before the end of the day on Sunday. We will include a tag on the basket that says how the members of the CJRTC donated items together to make the basket so great. 7 Division F Super Earth (Sanctioned) A challenging GTG course with a series of false entrances and/or false tunnels and dens. Open to any Jack Russell Terrier, 6 months and older. 30 seconds per 30 feet of tunnel to reach quarry; may leave and re-enter earth several times until the quarry is reached then must work quarry for one full minute without a break in work and without leaving quarry. May switch from one type of work to another without penalty. Class 64 Puppies other than JRTCA Jack Russell s: Open to puppies 6-12 month old that will fit through a 9 inch hole. Class 65 Adults other than JRTCA Jack Russell s: Open to adults one year and older that will fit through a 9 inch hole. Class 66 Open Puppy 6 12 month Super Earth Class 67 Open Adult 10 up to 12½ Super Earth: Open to terriers one year and older. Class 68 Open Adult 12½ up to 15 Super Earth: Open to terriers one year and older. Class 69 Open Veteran/Senior 10 up to 12½ Super Earth: Open to terriers six years and older. Class 70 Open Veteran/Senior Over 12½ up to 15 Super Earth: Open to terriers six years and older. Class 71 6 up to 12 Month Puppy Championship Super Earth. Open to 6 up to 12 month JRT puppies which have earned 100% in an Open 6 up to 12 Month Super Earth Puppy Class at this or a previous JRTCA Trial. A copy of a 100% score sheet must be presented with Pre-Entry or be shown to the Den Steward at the time of the class. First and second place winners will be Puppy Super Earth Champion and Reserve. Class up to 12 ½ Adult Certificate Super Earth: Open to Jack Russell Terriers, one year and older, which hold a JRTCA Super Earth Trial Certificate. A copy of the certificate must be submitted with pre-entry or be shown to the Den Steward at the time of the class. First and Second Place winners will be 10 up to 12 ½ Adult Super Earth Champion and Reserve. Class 73 Over 12 ½ up to 15 Adult Certificate Super Earth: Open to Jack Russell Terriers, one year and older, which hold a JRTCA Super Earth Trial Certificate. A copy of the certificate must be submitted with pre-entry or be shown to the Den Steward at the time of the class. First and Second Place winners will be over 12 ½ -15 Adult Super Earth Champion and Reserve. Class up to 12 ½ Veteran Certificate Super Earth: Open to Jack Russell Terriers, six years and older, which hold a JRTCA Super Earth Trial Certificate. A copy of the certificate must be submitted with pre-entry or be shown to the Den Steward at the time of the class. First and Second Place winners will be 10 up to 12 ½ Veteran Super Earth Champion and Reserve. Class 75 Over 12 ½ up to 15 Veteran Certificate Super Earth: Open to Jack Russell Terriers, six years and older, which hold a JRTCA Super Earth Trial Certificate. A copy of the certificate must be submitted with pre-entry or be shown to the Den Steward at the time of the class. First and Second Place winners will be Over 12 ½ up to 15 Veteran Super Earth Champion and Reserve. Class up to 12 ½ Senior Certificate Super Earth: Open to Jack Russell Terriers, nine years and older, which hold a JRTCA Super Earth Trial Certificate. A copy of the certificate must be submitted with pre-entry or be shown to the Den Steward at the time of the class. First and Second Place winners will be 10 up to 12 ½ Senior Super Earth Champion and Reserve. Class 77 Over 12 ½ up to 15 Senior Certificate Super Earth: Open to Jack Russell Terriers, six years and older, which hold a JRTCA Super Earth Trial Certificate. First and Second Place winners will be Over 12 ½ up to 15 Super Earth Champion and Reserve. Section C- Youth Class 78 Child Handler: Open to any youth aged 5 through 9, handling a JRT 6 months of age or older. This class is offered as an introductory experience in handling and learning about the Jack Russell Terrier. Judged on the child s ability to present his/her dog and beginning knowledge of the Jack Russell. Quality of the dog NOT to be considered. (No entry fee if pre-entered) Class 79 Child Handler G-T-G: (non-sanctioned) Open to any child aged 5 through 9, handling a JRT 6 months of age or older. Judged on the child s ability to present his/her dog and knowledge of Go-to-Ground. To be run through the 10 foot Novice liner; time not to be considered. (No entry fee if pre-entered) Class 80 Child Handler High Score and Reserve: Awarded to the highest scoring child and runner up in classes 78 and 79. Points are awarded as follow: 1st= 8 points, 2nd= 6 points; 3rd= 5 points, 4th= 4points, 5th= 3 points, 6th= 2 points and participation = 1 point. (non-sanctioned) Class 81 Youth Handler: Open to any youth aged 10 through 16, handling a JRT. Judged on the youth s beginning knowledge of the Jack Russell and ability to present his/her dog. Quality of dog NOT to be considered. (No entry fee if pre entered) Class 82 Youth G-T-G: Open to any youth aged 10 through 16, handling a Jack Russell Terrier. Judged on the youth s ability to present his/her dog and knowledge of Go-To-Ground. To be run through the 10 foot Novice liner; time not to be considered. (No entry fee if pre-entered) Class 83 Youth Handler High Score & Reserve: Awarded to the highest scoring youth and runner-up in classes 81 and 82. The points are awarded as follows: 1st = 8 points; 2nd = 6 points; 3rd = 5 points; 4th = 4 points; 5th= 3 points, 6th= 2 points and participation =1 point. Division D - Conformation

8 Section 1: Family (Note: Stud Dog and Brood Bitch must be intact. Offspring may be intact, spayed or neutered.) Class 84 Stud Dog & Get: Open to Sire with at least 2, but not more than 3 offspring at parent s side. Stud dog must be an intact male. Offspring may be intact or spayed/neutered. Judged on breed standard and consistency of type. Class 85 Brood Bitch & Produce: Open to dam with at least 2, but not more than 3 offspring at parent s side. Brood Bitch must be a an intact female. Offspring may be intact, spayed or neutered. Judged on breed standard and consistency of type. Class 86 Best & Reserve Family: Open to the first & second place winners of classes 84 and 85. From I - 40 West- Traveling West on I-40, take exit 126 in Hickory. Turn left at the stoplight onto McDonald Pky. Travel through all stoplights, road turns to two lanes. Follow this road until you come to the Hwy 321 entrance ramp. Take the Hwy 321 south entrance. Continue traveling south on Hwy 321 to the Dallas/Cherryville exit. 13 1. All sanctioned classes are open to Jack Russell Terriers only. 2. Exhibitors or owners of terriers entered must be current members of the JRTCA and not be a member of a conflicting JRT organization or register their JRT s in any all-breed registry or conflicting organization. If an exhibitor is found to be in violation of this policy, entries will be disqualified and no refunds will be given. If a violation is confirmed after the trial, placements will be voided from all JRTCA records. Exhibitors must submit a completed entry form including a signed waiver for every trial they enter. 3. Entries MUST be within the JRTCA height standard for all sanctioned classes(with the exception of pups who have not yet met the 10 height standard); measuring devices will be available on the trial grounds. 4. Puppies (under 12 months of age) are not eligible for championship in any division but their own. Puppies are eligible to compete only if they have reached their four month birthday (not 16 weeks). A puppy s age is the actual age the pup is on the day of the trial. 5. Bitches in season may not compete in any division. Pre-entry fees of bitches in season to be refunded with vet certificate from owner, or as otherwise agreed upon by the Trial Chairman. 6. Spayed or neutered terriers may compete in Miscellaneous Conformation. They may not compete in Puppy, Family, Open or Working Conformation. 7. A terrier bred by a sanctioned JRTCA judge may not be shown under that judge in the conformation division. 8. Terriers owned or co-owned by the Trial Chairperson, or any member of their household may not be entered in any phase of the competition, with the exception of Child and Youth handling classes. If an Affiliate sponsored trial is chaired by Committee, all on the Committee may enter their terriers in any phase of the competition. 9. Terriers owned by judges may not be entered in the division in which they are judging, but may enter the competition in any other division. 10. Terriers owned by stewards may be entered in any division provided that they find a substitute to perform their duties or have someone else show their terriers. 11. Requests for the measurement of a terrier entered in any class number may be made only by another exhibitor in the same class number or by the Judge EXCEPT in Racing. Requests for the measurement of a terrier in Racing may be made by the Judge or by an exhibitor with a terrier entered in the same class number; OR, if classes are split by gender, may call for the measurement of a terrier of the opposite gender in the same age and height category. (Example: The owner of an under adult dog entered in Racing may call for the measurement of an under adult bitch as the potential exists for them to race each other in the Championship Races.) Exhibitors racing puppies may call for the measurement of a puppy in a different age category as long as it is in the same height category. The person making the request for measurement must name the terrier or terriers they wish to have measured, but requests for measurement of entire classes will not be honored. The measurement of the terrier will be considered the terrier s official height for the duration of the trial. Only JRTCA height cards issued after September, 1999 will be honored. 12. Excessive use of squeaky or fur-like baiting devices by exhibitors is prohibited in the Conformation Ring and may result in the exhibitor being excused from the class. Excessive Use will be at the judge s discretion. 13. Exhibitors participating in the JRTCA Working Terrier Classes or Certificate Go-To-Ground must submit the appropriate JRTCA certificates with pre-entries or at the time post-entry. The judge may require a copy of the certificate be presented to the Ring/Den Steward at the time of judging. Registered terriers may submit a copy of NHC application signed by a JRTCA Working Judge within 30 days of the date it was issued. 14. Puppies under the age of three months are not permitted on the trial grounds. Any person violating this rule will be excused from all classes entered, and asked to leave the trial site. 15. All dogs must be leashed or crated except when competition requires off leash work. No liberty leashes allowed. 16. Overly aggressive dogs, or an owners failure to control their dog, may result in disqualification at the discretion of the Judges or Trial Chairperson. 17. The abuse or severe disciplining of dogs on the trial grounds is prohibited. Anyone displaying such behavior will be asked to leave the trial site, and no entry fees will be refunded. 18. Dogs other than JRT s on the grounds may be excluded or permitted at the discretion of the Trial Chairperson. 19. Exhibitors are responsible to double check the classes they have entered and be on time. No refunds will be given for missed classes. 20. The owner/handler of a terrier entering any class does so at his/her own risk and agrees to abide by the rules of the JRTCA and the trial. A copy of the JRTCA Rule Book can be obtained by contacting the JRTCA office ( ) or it can be downloaded from the JRTCA web site ( 21. Unsportsmanlike conduct, or the use of foul and abusive language, will not be tolerated. Anyone demonstrating such conduct will be asked to leave the trial site and no entry fees will be refunded. In addition, such conduct will be subject to penalties which may include the suspension of membership, restriction from entering the JRTCA National Trial, and/or fines. Trial Chairpersons have the right to refuse any entry at their discretion. 22. All dogs brought to JRTCA sanctioned trials must be current on vaccinations. 15 Raffle to benefit Tri-County Animal Rescue The Tri-County Animal Rescue will be holding a raffle during Autumn Fest I on Saturday, September 23, 2017 to benefit their Rescue About Tri-County Animal Rescue Tri-County Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization serving Lincoln, Gaston and other surrounding counties. We are committed to ending pet homelessness in this area and we need your continued support. If you cannot adopt a pet, then support Tri-County in other ways. We need volunteers and donations to continue our mission of finding homes for these unwanted animals.
