Enter the next roundabout and take 1st exit onto route 206 South. Go 3/10 of a mile to #21. Directions from Hunterdon County Fairgrounds: Make a right out of the field. Turn onto route 202 North. Go 19.3 miles on route 202 North. Be sure to stay on route 202 North through the circle. Take route 206 South/Route 28 ramp towards Somerville/Princeton. Exhibitors are advised to follow their veterinarian s recommendations to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccination. 5 DIRECTIONS To Hampton Inn, 16 Frontage Drive, Clinton, New Jersey 08809: From points north and east: Take New Jersey Turnpike W to I-78W (41.5mi). Take exit 15 for NJ-173E (Clinton/Pittstown). Turn left at the light onto 173W, then an immediate left onto the shopping plaza service road, marked with a large sign for Walmart/ShopRite/TJ Max). Proceeding up the drive take the second right onto Frontage Drive, the hotel driveway. The hotel at the top of the hill to the left of Crackerbarrel. (This trip is about 41 minutes from Newark Airport) From points south and west: Follow directions from Rt. 78, exit 15, and follow directions to the hotel as above From Philadelphia Airport to Hotel (1hr.23min): Take Rt. 95N, exit 1 for NJ-29N (Lambertville), then Rt 546N/E, to 579N, to 202/31N. Follow the signs for 31N, then I-78W). Take exit 15 for 173E (Clinton/Pittstown) and follow directions to the hotel as above. To Horseshoe Bend Park, Frenchtown: From the Hampton Inn (24minutes): From the hotel drive, turn left onto the Service Road. At the light turn left onto Pittstown Rd (Rt 513S).At the intersection of 625 bear slightly left to stay on 513. Turn left onto 519S (Kingwood Ave). At the traffic light continue straight, go past Kingwood High School on the left. Do not take Springhill Rd. marked with a sign for Horseshoe Bend Park. Continue on 519S, past the sign for Horseshoe Bend Park to Fairview Rd. Turn right. At the fork bear right onto Horseshoe Bend Road. *Please note that this road is bumpy and winding, but the better of two access roads to our location. Take the second entrance to Horseshoe Bend Park, marked NORTH entrance on the left; it is marked with yellow poles. The MORTON building (show location) is at the top of the drive on the left. RV s park on the grass around to the back. There are two large fenced dog runs, next to and opposite the Morton Building. Auto parking on the grass next to the building. From Points West: For RV s- follow Rt. 519E about 25.6 mi. Go through a traffic light, continue on 519, then right on Fairview, right on Horseshoe Bend (the field is on the left, as above) From Rt 29S, left on Fairview, left on Horseshoe Bend (as above) From PA, Rt 32, crossing the Delaware River to Frenchtown center, take 513 N/E, then 610/12S/ E, right on 519S(Kingwood Rd). Go straight through the traffic light, right on Fairview, right on Horseshoe Bend Rd. The park North entrance is on the left, as above. *Please note that Horseshoe Bend Road can be accessed from Rt 610/12 before reaching Rt 519. Route 610/12 is not recommended for RV s. Alternate, shorter route for cars (this enters Horseshoe Bend Rd. from the other end. The road is scenic, but narrower and more windy than above): from Rt 610/12, turn right onto Horseshoe Bend Rd. The park North entrance is on the right. From Points South: Take PA 263N, crossing the Delaware River to Stockton. Proceed on Bridge St, left on N. Main St, then left onto Rt 29N, right onto 519N (Kingwood-Stockton Rd) and go about 7.6mi. Turn left on Fairview Rd. At the fork bear right onto Horseshoe Bend Rd. and follow directions as above Directions from the show site to the performance venue will be available as a handout at the conformation show. 7 Registration and Entry Fees Make checks or money orders payable to ECSW. Returned checks are subject to a $35 fee. A returned check does not constitute a valid entry. After that time, no entries may be accepted, cancelled, changed, substituted, completed or signed and no entry fees refunded. Telephone and telegraph entries not accepted. Class changes and cancellations must be received in writing prior to closing time. All entry forms must be signed and must include the back with Agreement and Notice to Exhibitors otherwise the entry cannot be accepted and will be returned. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS! 8 Classification Regular Classes The following classes will be provided for both dogs and bitches: Baby Puppy 3-6 month Puppy 6-9 month Puppy 9-12 month Puppy classes are for those puppies that will be of age on the day of the show, not at the time of entry month Novice Bred-by Exhibitor American Bred Field Champion Open Winners (This class may not be entered on the entry form) Veteran 7-10 years Veteran Over 10 years Non-Regular Classes involving Single Dog Entries for both dogs and bitches Best of Breed ISWS Champions of Record, Winners Dog, Winners Bitch, and each Veteran Class Winner only, will be able to compete for Best of Breed Field Performance Champion Class Eligibility for this class REQUIRES PROOF OF A CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE for straight racing (ISWS or LGRA), oval racing (ISWS or NOTRA), lure coursing (ISWS or ASFA) or open field coursing (NOFCA or other recognized open field coursing association) be submitted along with a show entry. This class is a Regular Class as the historic job of a sighthound is hunting and that ability should be recognized as an important part of our breed. As such, a dog from the Performance class is eligible to win points toward an ISWS Championship. (No ISWS CH. may enter this class as this is a regular class., nor can a dog enter more than one regular class.) Companion Non- Regular Classes involving Single Dog Entries for both dogs and bitches The Companion Class is open to all neutered and spayed dogs as well as intact dogs 6 months of age or older. Dogs and bitches will be judged separately and winners will not be eligible for Best of Breed judging. No championship points will be awarded. Ribbons will be awarded for 1 st through 4 th place. First place in each sex will compete for Best Companion. Non- Regular Classes involving Multiple dog Entries As the judge s decision in the following classes is based on the merits of more than one dog or bitch, no one of the dogs or bitches judged first in these classes will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won in these classes. The Stud Dog or Brood Bitch must appear in the ring with the get or produce and be entered in the class. The owner of the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch does not need to be the owner of the get or produce. The award is based on the merits of the get or produce. Stud Dog Class - For dogs that have sired two dogs or bitches entered in this show. Brood Bitch Class - For bitches that have whelped two dogs or bitches entered in this show. Junior Handler and Junior Showmanship Classes 1) Junior Handler I class for handlers aged 2 years to under 4 years (parent or other adult must be in the ring and may assist the Junior Handler); 2) Junior Handler II class for handlers aged 4 years to under 8 years (parent or other adult must be in the ring and may assist the Junior Handler); 3) Junior Showmanship I class for handlers aged 8 years to under 12 years; 4) Junior Showmanship II class for handlers aged 12 years to under 18 years. Any dog shown in any Regular or Non-Regular class, including any spayed or neutered dog, may be shown in the Junior Handler/Showmanship Classes. -7-

9 Special Awards Award of Merit - Awards of Merit will be available which the judge may award at his discretion immediately after the selection of Best of Breed, Best of Winner, and Best of Opposite Sex. The number of Awards of Merit will be determined by the total entry at the show. Best Puppy in Regular Classes - Best Puppy will be selected from the Regular Puppy Class winners following the judging of Best of Breed competition. Only dogs not defeated in a Puppy Class are eligible to compete. (If the winner of a class is not present for judging of Best Puppy, the 2 nd place in the class may not take its place. If Best of Winners or Best of Breed is from the Puppy Class, it is automatically the Best Puppy in Regular Classes. Best Companion - Best Companion will be selected from the Companion Class winners following Best of Breed competition. Best Bred-by Exhibitor - Best Bred by Exhibitor will be selected from the Bred By Exhibitor class winners following Best of Breed. Best Veteran - Best Veteran will be selected from the Veteran class winners following Best of Breed. If Best of Breed is from the veteran class, it is automatically Best Veteran in Show. -8-

11 AGREEMENT l/we agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, l/we agree to hold the ECSW, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents, event secretaries and committee members, as well as the owner/lessee of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, including judges, secretaries, and stewards, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and l/we personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; l/we further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. Additionally, I/we hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify, defend and save the aforementioned parties harmless from and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties for damage because of bodily injuries, including death, at any time resulting there from, sustained by any person or persons, including myself/ourselves, or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my/our participation in this event, however such injuries, death or property damage may be caused, and whether or not the same parties or any of their employees, agents, or any other persons. I/we agree that any cause of action, controversy or claim arising out of or related to the entry, exhibition or attendance at the event between the ECSW Board and ECSW Show Committee, and myself/ourselves or as to the construction, interpretation and effect of this agreement shall be settled by arbitration pursuant to the applicable rules of the American Arbitration Association. Your signature on the Entry form indicates your agreement to abide by all the statements set forth on the "Agreement" and "Notice to Exhibitors," as well as the policies of the Horseshoe Bend Park. If you are submitting electronically, your X on the Signature line, followed by your typed signature, stands in lieu of your written signature. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The ECSW and their officers and directors, Horseshoe Bend Park and the ECSW Show Committee will not be responsible for dogs or personal property; nor do they assume responsibility for an incorrect entry. Entries: Exhibitors are advised to print when filling out entry forms. Entries will be printed in the catalog exactly as they are listed on the entry forms. Owners are responsible for errors in entry forms. No dog wrongly entered in a class may be transferred to another class after close of entries. No entry may be changed or canceled unless notice of the change or cancellation is received in writing or via by the Show Secretary as listed in this premium prior to the close of entries. Entries will not be accepted without the proper signature and fees. Entries received without signature or fees will be returned. Entries must be submitted on approved entry forms, unless they are approved by the Show Secretary as listed in this premium. No entry fees will be refunded, in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of any member of the ECSW Board, the Show Secretary, or any member of the ECSW Show Committee. No entry fees will be returned if the show cannot open or be completed by reasons beyond the control of the management. Extreme weather conditions, such as, but not limited to, snow storms, hurricanes, lightning, extreme heat or cold, must be considered for the health and safety of the dogs, exhibitors and spectators. The well being of dogs, exhibitors and spectators is of paramount importance and, in the event it is necessary to cancel or stop the show before completion, no refund of entry fees will be made. The East Coast Silken Windhound Club and the ECSW Show Committee reserve the right to decline or remove any dog due to disease, viciousness, or other cause and no one shall have any claim against the aforementioned club, committee, or any official thereof. No refund of any entry fees will be made. Exhibitor Responsibilities: All dogs present must be held on leash or confined to their crates or x-pens while on the premises. It is expressly understood that the exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Each Owner and Agent listed on the entry form and/or individual responsible for the dog at a show is bound by the Agreement below regardless of who may have completed and submitted the entry form. The ECSW its officers and directors, Horseshoe Bend Park, the Event Committee, Show Secretary, their Agents and designees will not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, attendees dogs or property. Judges will not wait for any owner/handler holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the ring when their classes are called to be judged.
