2 Sterling Salukis Meet our Judge: Jaqi TerHAAR I ve been involved in the sport of purebred dogs for over thirty years. I began in the early 70's with a German Shepherd Dog I showed in obedience and conformation. From the late 70's into the late 80's I bred and showed Bloodhounds under the prefix, Woodsong. After my last Bloodhound died I decided it was time to change breeds. I'd always loved the look of Salukis so I began my research.car I purchased my foundation bitch, Ch. Braemoor Silhouette ad Zaharah, JC in It was as if my soul had come home! I bred my first Sterling litter - or should I say "lit" as there was only one puppy - in That puppy was the dam of two litters born in 1999 and Her daughter is now the dam of the latest Sterling youngster. I am fortunate to produce Specialty winning and group placing hounds. Of equal importance to me, I've been blessed with two certified therapy dogs and one agility titled hound. I quite enjoy the challenge of training in agility. Hopefully, the future will see more Sterling hounds with agility titles. I breed for a balanced dog with moderate angles, good muscle, light and floaty movement. At the end of the day though, we must live with our salukis so I breed for fun and stable temperaments that complement their owners lives.

3 2014 Futurity Information Eligible Litters: All AKC and AKC recognized kennel club registered litters, including SPDBS, which are whelped between 6 months and 24 months prior to the date of the Futurity. Qualifying Ages of Puppies: All Salukis must be at least 6 months old on the day of the Futurity, but no older than 2 years of age on the day of the Futurity. Summary of Process Steps: Litter Nomination Up to 6 weeks post whelp, $30 nomination fee After 6 weeks post whelp and up to 3/31/14 deadline $75 nomination fee Individual Pup Nomination Up to 4 months old, $25 nomination fee After 4 months old and up to 3/31/13 deadline, $35 nomination fee Individual Pup Entry into actual Futurity Event Entries accepted at any time, with final entry deadline 5/1/14 midnight. Entry fee $15.00 Incomplete nominations accepted in the case of multi-sire litters and pending registration numbers, however the missing data must be provided prior to the 3/31/14 deadline.
