I counted 7 OEDL people (4 that also shoot QCEDL I believe). I'm just curious why more OEDL shooters don't go to these shoots. I've been to 4 of these now (3 this year) and last night was the most oedl shooters I've seen at any one of these. I've only picked up darts for the first time ever a little over 3 years ago, but like to compete and love to play people better than me to hopefully raise my game and eventually (hopefully) make me better. Is this not how others, who may have been shooting now for years, look at it? Oneals got a nice turnout for their LOD this week, which is great, and I know a few other OEDL bars have gotten good turnouts for their LODs, so it seems there is an interest in competing outside of league play. So, with these qualifiers: -Is it scheduling? -Don't like to/not enough confidence/interest to play singles? -Just no interest/don't care? -Don't think can compete/qualify? -Don't know enough about these things to go? -The locations are all QCEDL places and doesn't have any primary OEDL involvement in organizing, etc right now? -No immediate payday (no prizes until the actual Mr Philly tournament in April)? Games are best of 5, 501 (single on/double out). Last night there were a fair share of dart 501 games, but I also saw just as many dart games (double 1!) that really anybody in D1-3 I would argue and some of the better shooters in D4 and below could have been able to at least compete well. Hope more go out in the future. These are great matches with just as much, sometimes more, competitive spirit than playoff matches in league play. It's good competition and a great way to really test yourself.
