Spring is a great time to be in the woods. It s a good time to start looking for deer antlers after they shed them or calling that next big turkey into gun range. Sometimes while waiting on that big gobbler to come strutting by. I ve been known to take a little nap while leaned against the base of a tree. I don t know about you but I love being in the woods in the spring time. Just watching and listening to nature as it comes to life right before my eyes. Nature is such a beautiful thing. Good luck to all of you in pursuit of those wily birds this spring. We just finished up the spring trial season on one of the hottest days in March. Other than the heat, all was good. I know everyone is looking forward to seeing whose dogs are leading in points so far in the first half on the year. Just a friendly reminder, that the summer shoots will be starting soon and we will be needing volunteers for range master, and to help run the shoots. It s a lot of fun and a good way to stay tuned up on ones wing shooting for the season. They have already predicted how bad the ticks are going to be this year. They are already bad if you haven t noticed. They say this year will be really bad for tick fever.
