ELIGIBLE BREEDS & REGISTRIES: Only purebred Afghan Hounds, Azawakhs, Basenjis, Borzois, Cirneco dell etnas, Greyhounds, Ibizan Hounds, Italian Greyhounds, Irish Wolfhounds, Pharaoh Hounds, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Salukis, Scottish Deerhounds, Sloughis, Silken Windhounds and Whippets may enter. All entries shall be individually registered with the AKC (inl. ILC & PAL), the NGA, the FCI, the UKC, an ASFA-recognized foreign or ASFA board approved registry, or possess a CRN from the SPDBS. Current Provisional Breed: LIMITED breeds may be entered in the Limited Stake or the Singles Stake and shall be individually registered with the appropriate registry. *Currently Chart Polskis, Galgo Espanols, Magyar Agars, Portuguese Podengos and Peruvian Inca Orchids and are eligible for entry. REMINDER: As of October 1, 1994, ASFA requires all dogs being entered in the OPEN, VETERANS or LIMITED STAKE for the first time to submit a completed Hound- Certification form with their entry. * * * STAKES OFFERED OPEN: Any eligible sighthound excluding A.S.F.A. Field Champions of Record that has met certification requirements. FIELD CHAMPION : Any A.S.F.A. Field Champion. VETERAN : Any eligible hound whose age is over 6 years, except Irish Wolfhounds whose age shall be at least 5 years and Whippets, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Salukis & Afghan Hounds whose age shall exceed 7 years. Points go toward V-FCH or V-LCM titles. LIMITED : Any eligible sighthound of a LIMITED Breed * that has met certification requirements. Not eligible for BOB or BIF. SINGLE : Any eligible sighthound including those disqualified to run in other stakes. Hounds are eligible to earn TCP & CP titles from the Singles Stake. Limited breeds are not eligible for these titles. Hounds will run alone. Not eligible for BOB or BIF. ***PLEASE NOTE*** FIRST TIME ENTERED HOUNDS (ECEPT NGA GREYHOUNDS) MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF THEIR REGISTRATION WITH THEIR ENTRY FORMS!! ***BEST IN FIELD WILL BE OFFERED BOTH DAYS*** CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: All entries must be 1 year of age or older on the day of the Trial. Stakes will be split into flights by public random draw if the entry in any regular stake is 20 or more. Bitches in season, lame hounds and hounds with breed disqualifications will be excused at roll call. Spayed, neutered, monorchid or cryptorchid hounds without breed disqualifications may be entered. Hounds with breed disqualifications are not eligible to enter except the Single Stake. Hounds not present at the time of roll call will be scratched. All hounds will run twice, in trios if possible or braces (except in the Single Stake) unless excused, dismissed or disqualified. Muzzles will not be required but may be used at the handlers discretion. A $5.00 fine will be imposed for any loose hound on the field not competing in the course in progress. Club reserves the right to alter the course the day of the trial due to weather and/or field conditions. Owners must keep hounds under control and clean up after them. The course will be reversed for final courses, reversed again for Best of Breed, Best In Field, and Run-Offs. Certification runs will be offered after the trial. Please make sure we have your address so we can send the premiums to you via . Please fill out this form and give it to Alice at the Trial. We will be holding practice runs and Pre Certs AFTER the trials each day, weather, time and equipment willing Practice Runs are $5 per dog, Pre Certs are $10. There will be a sign up sheet at the Secretary s Table. You will be responsible for providing your own Bye dog for all Pre Certs. This should be a dog of the same breed or one of similar running style/speed and preferably NOT a kennelmate. It is recommended that a hound not be Pre Certed until it has run 2-3 times by itself around a full course without stopping!!! Membership dues are due NOW!!! PLEASE help us out and get your dues in!!
