ENTRIES MAY BE ACKNOWLEDGED BY IF OWNER FORWARDS ADDRESS. Ribbons or rosettes will offered for all placements. First=Blue, Second=Red, Third=Yellow, Fourth=White, NBQ=Green Highest Scoring Single=Navy/Gold, Best of Breed=Purple/Gold, & Best in Field=Red, White & Blue. BEST IN FIELD WILL BE OFFERED ALL 3 Days!! ELIGIBLE BREEDS & REGISTRY Only purebred Afghan Hounds, Azawakhs, Basenjis, Borzoi, Cirneco dell Etna, Greyhounds, Ibizan Hounds, Irish Wolfhounds, Italian Greyhounds, Pharaoh Hounds, Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Salukis, Scottish Deerhounds, Sloughis, Whippets, and Provisional breeds may be entered in the regular stakes. Current Provisional breed: Silken Windhound. Limited breeds may be entered in the Limited Stake or the Singles Stake. Limited breeds currently include purebred Chart Polski, Galgo Español, Magyar Agar, Peruvian Inca Orchid, Portuguese Podengo (Pequeno), Portuguese Podengo (Medio & Grande), and must be individually registered with the appropriate registry. All entries shall be individually registered with the AKC (ILP/PAL included), the NGA, the UKC, the FCI, an ASFA-recognized foreign or ASFA Board approved registry, or possess a CRN from the SPDBS. A photocopy of acceptable registry must be submitted with each hound s first ASFA field trial entry; this requirement is waived for hounds registered with the NGA. NOTICES A penalty of $5.00 will be assessed for any loose hounds not competing in the course in progress A return check fee of $25.00 will be assessed for any check(s) returned for insufficient funds. GANG assumes no liability for injury to any person or dog before, during or after these trials. Please bring your own shade, beverages, and water. Fun Runs will be offered after both test and trial competitions are complete and as time of daylight permits. $5.00 each. Care of the Grounds Kindly enter the field at the area only. Parking areas will be clearly marked. Please clean up after your hounds. Smokers please do not leave cigarette butts on the ground. 3 REGULAR STAKES OFFERED OPEN STAKE: Any eligible sighthound, excluding ASFA Field Champions of record. FIELD CHAMPION STAKE: Any ASFA Field Champion VETERAN STAKE: Any eligible hound whose age is at least six years, except Irish Wolfhounds whose age shall be at least five years, and Afghan Hounds, Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Whippets whose age shall be at least seven years. Points go toward V-FCh or V-LCM titles. LIMITED STAKE: Any eligible sighthound of a Limited breed that has met certification requirements. Not eligible to compete in Best of Breed or Best in Field. SINGLE STAKE: Any eligible sighthound including those disqualified to run in other stakes. Each hound runs alone. Not eligible for Best of Breed or Best in Field. Hounds are eligible to earn TCP and CPX titles from the Singles stake. Limited breeds are not eligible for these titles. Conditions of Entry/General Information CONDITIONS OF ENTRY: All entries must be one year or older on the day of the trial Stakes will be split into flights by public random draw if the entry in any regular stake is 20 or more Bitches in season, lame hounds and hounds with breed disqualifications will be excused at roll call; hounds with breed disqualifications are not eligible to enter except in the Single Stake Spayed, neutered, monorchid or cryptorchid hounds may be entered Hounds not present at the time of roll call will be scratched and entry fees will NOT be refunded All hounds will run twice, in trios if possible or braces (except in the Single Stake), unless excused, dismissed or disqualified. Battery-powered, continuous loop lure machines will be used with back-up equipment available. The lure will consist of light and/or light colored plastic Muzzles are not required: It is the responsibility of the owners to determine if the hound should be muzzled THINGS TO KNOW ENTRY PAYMENT VIA PAYPAL ACCEPTED PayPal Entries accepted!* Go to PAYPAL REQUIREMENTS If you enter using PayPal please note the following requirements(per ASFA). Failure to do so will result in your entry NOT being accepted!! RV parking is $20.00 per Night - water, electric & there is a dump station on the grounds. Electrical hook-ups are amp, please have adaptors if needed. No advance reservation required. 4 COURSE PLANS MONDAY 625 YARDS SATURDAY 700 YARDS S/F 1 s/f s/f The members of the Greyhound Association of North GA reserve the right to alter the course plan as required by weather and/or field conditions on the day of the trial. COURSES WILL BE REVERSED FOR FINALS SUNDAY 660 YARDS FIELD CONDITIONS The field is grass, which has been occasionally mowed. It is a hayfield and is not perfectly groomed, but it is primarily level. There are a few shade trees around the perimeter of the field. Please share the shade!! 1 Also, electric hookups are available to power fans, A/C units, etc. $20/day S/F For Cool Down Help (the following will be available at the field) Baby Pools 1 Battery powered Spray Station 1 Misting Station Industrial Fan PRACTICE AND FUN RUNS! GANG will offer practice and fun runs AFTER the Trial on Friday and Saturday. Bunny Hops will be available for young (under a year) hounds and for those Senior citizens that still have the thrill of the chase in their heart but not in their legs! Runs are $5 each
