1 October 26 th & 27 th, 2013 Two Trials offered each day Trial Location: SandStorm Farm N3307 Rock Rd, Cascade, WI This trial has been approved by Barn Hunt Association, LLC and will be held under all BHA rules and regulations. Four Trials offered - earn a title in one weekend! Open to all Breeds & Mixed Breeds of all sizes These trials will be held indoors. Classes offered each day: Trial 1: RATI (optional class), RATN, RATO, RATS, RATM Trial 2: RATN, RATO, RATS, RATM There may be a short lunch break at the judge s discretion before the start of Trial 2. Day-to-Day & Trial-to-trial move ups available both days. Judges: Brenda Coffield, Ogden Dunes, IN Becky Heiner, Menasha, WI Helen Briwa, Oshkosh, WI Trial entry limits: 200 runs per day The trial OPENS September 10, Entries will be accepted in the order received until October 18, 2013 at 6:00PM with the Trial Secretary, or until maximum entry limit reached. Entry fees: $15 for Instinct Test; $20 for all other classes

2 EXHIBITOR INFORMATION Dogs may enter both the Instinct Test and Novice class in the same trial until the dog has earned the RATN title and then they cannot enter the Instinct Test. Dogs completing the RATN in the morning trial on Saturday/Sunday may be moved up to Open for the second trial. This is up to the handler and not required. Move-ups will be accepted on Saturday/Sunday up until ½ hour after the conclusion of Trial 1. Move-up forms will be available at the Secretary s table. All entries must be accompanied by entry fees to be valid. A returned check does not constitute a valid entry. There will be a $50.00 fee for all returned checks. Turn Left (North) on Hwy 57 to Kiel. Follow 57 approx 17 miles to Cemetery Rd, Turn Right, go approx ½ mile to Belitz Dr, location is on the left. Hotels/Motels that may accept dogs. Owners assume full responsibility. Early reservations are recommended. Please check with hotels before registering. BHA rules & common courtesy: you are responsible for picking up after your dogs at the motels & the show site and keeping rooms clean. Please use plastic under crates in rooms. DIRECTIONS TO TRIAL SITE From Milwaukee: Hwy 43 North to Port Washington. Take Hwy 57 ramp North (Road splits, follow 57 to Plymouth). 57 North to Waldo, turn left (West) on Hwy 28. Continue West on 28 for 2 miles. Turn left (South) on Rock Rd. Site is on the East side of road, Driveway gates will be open at 6:45 a.m. Please drive down by barn to designated parking area. From Fond Du Lac: Hwy 23 East to Hwy 57 South to Plymouth. Take Hwy 57 South to Waldo, turn right (West) on Hwy 28. Follow directions above. Overnight parking at the site IS permitted; limited electricity available for RV parking. All dogs must be on a short leash and under control while on trial grounds. Approved collars include flat snap or buckle collars of solid construction and leather or nylon leads. Limited slip martingale collars are allowed. Single piece slip collars/leads are allowed. Harnesses, with the exception of headhalter types, are allowed. Dogs MUST run naked, without a collar/harness. Collars/harnesses which can be easily and quickly removed and replaced are strongly encouraged. NO flexi-leads allowed. Please bring adequate water for you and your dogs. It is also advisable to bring a crate or x-pen for your dog during times they may need to be left attended. There is NO SMOKING in this facility or on the grounds. If you must smoke, you will need to do so inside your vehicle and dispose of the butts in the vehicle also. Dog exercise areas will be marked, please pick up after your dog and dispose of waste in appropriate containers outside the building. We invite exhibitors & event workers to enjoy breakfast and lunch free of charge. Additionally, there are many restaurants within minutes of the trial. There are no indoor restrooms at the site, but portable toilets will be available. 3 Rock Road Barn Hunt Trial: Schedule & Instructions RUNNING ORDER/SCHEDULE: Small To Large Dogs Both Days 6:45a.m. Driveway Gates Open 7:00 a.m.- 7:30 a.m. Check in, Registration 7:30-8:00 a.m. RATI & RATN briefing Trial 1 Ring 1 8:00 a.m. RATI start (Briwa) RATO to follow RATI RATS to follow RATO RATM to follow RATS Trial 2 RATM to follow Trial 1 RATS to follow RATM RATO to follow RATS Ring 2 8:30 a.m. RATN start RATN to follow trial Trial1 Dogs will be run in height order, dogs being handled by the same person will be separated into different staged groups. HEIGHT DIVISIONS Dogs 13" and under small Dogs 13.1 to 18" medium Dogs over 18" large AWARDS: Rosettes will be awarded for first through fourth place in Novice, Open, Senior, and Master classes in each height division. Ribbons will be awarded for all qualifiers in the regular classes and the Instinct Test. High In Class rosettes will be offered in Novice, Open, Senior, and Master classes. Title rosettes will be awarded to all dogs earning a title. Please bring weather appropriate gear. These trials will be held indoors but the facility is affected by the outside temperature. There will be crating space available inside but please make sure your crate is secure as the dogs may be highly excited. Bitches in season are eligible for entry but will be required to be kept separate from all other dogs and will be run in panties at the end of their class/trial. Entry fees for bitches that come into season will be refunded until closing time of the trial if you wish to withdraw. After the trial closes on October 18, 2013, entry fees will not be refunded. If bringing a bitch in season, please inform the trial committee prior to the trial, and you must inform all exhibitors at the judge s briefing. As is the norm with all other dog events, please keep bitches in season controlled and limit their exposure. Loud/Disruptive dogs Dogs that are loud and disruptive may be asked to locate away from the rings/crating area and/or staged away from the other dogs getting ready to compete. Any dog behaving in a threatening or aggressive manner toward another dog or a person may be dismissed from the trial if justification is found to do so by the judge and/or trial committee. Terrier sparring is not allowed on trial grounds. Any dog that is sick, injured or lame will be excused from the trial grounds. Refunds Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred from competition by action of the Event Committee. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reasons of riots, civil disturbances, fire, acts of God, public emergency, an act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. This trial is being held on private property please be considerate about picking up after your dogs and leaving the grounds as you found them. Any exhibitor failing to do so may be excused without benefit of refund if the Event Committee deems the exhibitor to be in violation of this requirement per BHA regulations.
