1 2018 Board President Cathy Villa st Vice President-Programs Willene Summerford EDITOR: Carla Kincaid November 2018 ISSUE 11 CATHY VILLA PRESIDENT I guess I was pretty much an absentee president in October. I missed the meeting but heard everything went very well. I can't wait to paint Liz's project. Hopefully I can do it without instruction. I am sure she will help me out if I need it. I also missed Terrie's Hungarian Tote Bag. It looks like she had a good turn out. The picture in which everyone is holding their bags looks like most everyone finished or almost finished. I hated to miss it because Terrie is such a good teacher and gives us all her wonderful knowledge while teaching. It would have been a new type of painting to me and I haven't learned a new style in so long. I am sorry to have missed it. I saw Susan Miller, our far away member was there in the pictures. Sorry to have missed her as well. Don't forget our November meeting is a week early because of Veterans Day Holiday. It will be on Monday, November 5. Terrie is going to go over liner work with us. It will be good to have a lesson in that. Once again the old brain needs to be rebooted and defragged every once in awhile to keep it sharp. I am sure everyone will learn something from this lesson. Don't forget to sign up for Carla's Santa class on November 17. It has been so long since I have done a Santa that I am excited to do this. He is really cute. Carla is also a great teacher and a great painter. She will have wood and prep at the November 5th meeting. Be sure to contact her before this if you want her to get you wood. Willene needs you to sign up for the Christmas Party. Terrie needs you to get your raffle tickets and money to Marilyn Harvey. These deadlines are coming up. So much to do and so little time. I thought I was all caught up on my money to the club and remembered the raffle tickets. Have a good Halloween and see you at the November 5th meeting. 2nd Vice President Paint-Ins Carla Kincaid rd Vice President Seminars Peggy Jones Secretary Marilyn Harvey Treasurer Gloria Lundberg Membership Terrie Busse Hospitality Jeannie Lanquist & Mindy Miller Chapter Photographer Mona Steffen Newsletter Publisher Carla Kincaid carlakincaid1028@gmail.com Sunshine Mona Steffen Hats from the Heart Lois Denton Tender Life Terrie Busse Cathy Villa 1
