1 CCW has been contacted by Klingspur a woodworking equipment retailer. Several catalogs were sent along with a $20. Gift certificate. Klingspur will be asked to send more catalogs and the promised gift card later in the year. CCW will ask that enough catalogs be sent to us. Bob Gleason has notified CCW that he is home recovering from back surgery and hope to attend the meeting in January.

2 Doug Brown has notified us that the due to other commitments Pear Valley Vineyard will not be available. He and Larry truesdale are seeking out other venues. Stay Tuned Gordon Rowland took a straw vote asking which topic would be made by Sally Ault in her upcoming demonstration, the results are Jewelry and lidded boxes. Her demonstration will be held on Saturday January 20 th in Ron Glahn s Shop in Arroyo Grande. Start time will be 9:00 AM with a break for lunch close to noon. Reminder Bring your chair and lunch. Several quick food facilities are nearby. A $25.00 fee will be accepted from each attendee. Some members of CCW have displayed and sold goods at the Morro Bay Gallery and report that payment is made in a few days, not like old times. A suggestion is that more turners take advantage of the gallery for sales. Please be reminded that the yearly dues is now $35.00 and can be paid by check made out to CCW and mailed or hand delivered to Larry Truesdale at 331 Kodiak St, Morro Bay, CA 93442

3 s have been traded with members of the Channel Island Woodturners and it was learned that 3 members have lost their homes and shops to the Thomas Fire. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them, lets hope they can contain the fire soon. A reminder to us who could be victims someday, suggestion you think about preparations ahead. 6 Larry Truesdale offered for viewing a bowl turned from Teak and went on to tell of the few problems he had, If you are interested in his explanation, better contact him.

7 Maryalice Birk was welcomed back after having suffered a bout with Pneumonia but she did bring with her a few Christmas Ornaments, Namely snow men turned from Spectraply for color variations Her 2 nd display was of a JIG she has turned to use in Jam Chucking of Salt or Pepper Mills bodies

8 Mary Alice in a mutual turning arrangement with Ron Reeves produced a highly grained piece of Box Elder. Ron Reeves on the left showed a similar Box Elder bowl with tri foot bottom. A little info on Ron, He is here living with family in Lompoc during the winter months. Maybe April or May, after the snow melts, he plans on returning to the Land of the Tetons I Wyoming. We welcome his stay and hope that he might come back next fall.

9 George Paes living up to his urgencies that mistakes should be brought to a meeting, First to explain how it happened and how to correct and try to save the work. Here he has 3 Pepper Mills that should all have been 12 tall, but goofs ended with two shorter ones. Problem was a poor gluing start and then poor alignment for boring. They ll make for a good gift somewhere.

12 Roy Myers has been bitten by the Segmented Bug. Roy has been determined to design and create segmented work. He soon will be involved with turning an Urn with a screw cap. Roy, KEEP up the drive.

13 Art Everett s wife asked for Christmas ornaments and he delivered, Shown here are the miniature bells,, trees and various hangers

14 Gordon Rowland presented a highly figured Maple Bowl, knowing Gordon, I ll bet that it ll end up as a gift to one of his former co-workers who ll be retiring.

15 Tom Bullock was asked by someone in his family for a small Friendship urn. The urn was turned with a screw cap for security. He also showed a bowl that he received, Species unknown but beautiful natural lines to be an excellent highlights
