1 Lesson 6 2 nd Grade Writers Club Family Similes Students wrote similes about their family members. Writers use similes to describe something or someone by making comparisons. Our Writers Club students were required to describe their family members by making comparisons to something not human.

My cousin, Kyle, is as cute as a candy sweetheart.
