2 Back To The Basics VII It is with great pleasure and excitement that we invite you to Back to the Basics VII. After 7 annual sales we are truly humbled by the continued success and interest, that you, our customers, have with our program. Coming off a year with less than a foot of rain, we are proud of our cows and our breed to withstand these conditions. We were still able to bring an exceptional product not only to this sale but also to the replacement pen and feedlot. It is a testament to how far our breed has evolved. To keep that trend moving forward, you will notice EPD s on our females in this year s catalog. Hopefully, they will be of assistance to you in future breeding decisions and will help continue to push the breed forward. This set of females runs deep. I know that gets said in everyone s catalog every year, but I really had a hard time this year putting some great females further back in the catalog. I guess that is good news for us, as we are bringing you a better product and great news for you, as many females will sell for well under their future value. Bid with confidence, this set of females has been through the hardest summer. They will only continue to get better every day they are in the show barn and in the pasture. Breeders World Live will again be covering our sale. If you are unable to attend, I urge you to take advantage of this option. We truly hope you are able to make it to Fort Morgan, CO on November 18th, we love being in the cattle business and would love to talk to you about how our cattle could be part of your program. Thank you to all our past and future customers. You are what makes us strive to become better at what we do. If we can be of any assistance to you, any time, whether show or pasture related, we would be glad to help. She is cool made with cool markings and the potential to make someone famous at the backdrop (too bad it s not us). Kris is a blue roan heifer out of Cooksey s Arial 48L, a purebred Shorthorn cow (now deceased) that has produced 4 National or Reserve National Champions at the Charolais Jr. Nationals. Steel Force, her sire, needs no introduction. Kris is very feminine with a HUGE middle and as sound as you can find. She can be shown as Shorthorn Plus or as a half blood Simmental. As our kids have aged out in Jr. shows, Kris is a unique opportunity. 30 Sunday, November 18, 2012

She is a full sib to the Supreme Female at the 2009 Iowa State Fair, who sold for $60,000 after her show career. Zap 292Z is moderate, well balanced and sweet necked. 43 Date of Birth: 3/7/12 Angus Connealy Consensus Connealy Consensus 7229 Blue Lilly of Conanga 16 BR Midland SF Pride 528 Baldridge Pride N594 **Owned by Scott and Kendal Sedman SS Lady Rocky 3Z Easy feeding, sound, big footed, long bodied with lots of rib. Lady Rocky is a purebred Angus daughter out of the highly popular Angus bull Connealy Consensus. Lady Rocky s dam SF Pride 528 is in our donor program. She is a genetically clean 1407 x Midland daughter. We think that Lady Rocky can be very competitive in the show ring, as well as a very productive cow that would work to raise maternal foundation, clubby or registered Angus cattle. 31

Her mother got beat all year in the show ring for having those same fine qualities, but check her out sale day. Momma s in the donor pen and Zhen is in the sale pen.

33 45 B3 Silver Cheryl 45Z DOB: 3/24/12 Charolais Percentage KASS Kojack S45 CJB Felony U903 CJB Cheyenne 6001S Heat Wave Silver Cheryl Charolais **Owned by B3 Livestock B3 Silver Cheryl 45Z has been one of the crowd favorites since birth. She is a registered percentage Charolais heifer with style and look to be competitive in the show ring, as well as having a massive top, bone and feminine front to be a donor cow. B3 s goal is to build stout, maternal, great fronted percentage Charolias females. Silver Cheryl exemplifies that goal. 46 B3 Ocie 50Z DOB: 4/13/12 Charolais Percentage KASS Kojack S45 CJB Felony U903 CJB Cheyenne 6001S Madrid KKWB Ocie R160 KWB Ms 31 **Owned by B3 Livestock Flat out sexy, stouter than most and prettier than many. Ocie puts it all together. Younger than most in the sale, Ocie still has the potential to be a big player in next years show season. With the genetic make up in this heifer s pedigree, her greatest asset may be her production ability after her show career. Ocie sells as a registered percentage Charolais. 33

34 47 DOB: 3/6/12 Cross bred Heat Wave Monopoly Century Touchstone Angus After Shock **Owned by B3 Livestock B3 Megan 38Z Megan has been a shinning star since birth. Sound, smooth, attractive and shapely. Her After Shock mother has been a very solid producer for our herd. Megan can be very competitive as a crossbred heifer, but will be a true shinning star with her ability to produce highly marketable offspring. We believe the After Shock x Monopoly females will make great club calf cows. Stock Show University Stock Show University is a free educational clinic open to all Stock Show youth and adults.
