2 Wilbur Amand, Theresa Bradley and Leigh Clayton tally auction bids E lliott Jacobson and Doug M ader show how amicable colleagues can be. 3 Ty Parks and friend savor the aroma of their win ning and record-setting bid for the Fred Frye Shoe trophy, auctioned off each year to raise money for herpetological medical research. Sonia Hernandez-Divers, Scott Stahl, and Steve Hernandez-Divers relax after the auction. Scott Stahl and Steve HernandezDivers attest to the fact that good help is hard to find. Many of the icons of our profession autographed items to be sold during the auction. One of those items was Kevin Wright s venter. Vicky appears im pressed, but to the best of my knowledge Kevin remained unsold. Doug M ader gives Larry Wood of the M arinelife Center of Juno Beach a donation of $1000 from the ARAV in appreciation for a good herpetological med ical cause as well as hosting the ARAV Sea Turtle Symposium and Field Trip after the 2004 ARAV con ference. 4 Seminars in Avian & Exotic Pet Medicine Alan M. Fudge, DVM, Editor Seminars in Avian and Exotic Pet Medicine provides concise, topical, and authoritative reviews that address the problems you face in your practice. Guest Editors all selected for their expertise in treating birds and exotics prepare every issue and invite contributors to survey optimal diagnostic methods, therapeutic strategies, follow-up, and health maintenance.
