General Biology I and II lab Supervisor o Coordinate all GTA s for the General Biology labs that are conducted throughout the semester where I also write and determine the material taught. University of Texas at Tyler August 2004 to May 2008 Lecture Courses (adjunct faculty) o Vertebrate and Natural History (Spring 2008) This course introduced the taxonomy, evolution, and natural history of the vertebrates of the world with emphasis on North American and East Texas species.

2 o General Biology I (Spring 2008) This course addresses the scientific study of life at the molecular and cellular levels including mechanisms of inheritance, development, and evolution Guest Lectures o General Biology II (from Nov. 5 Dec. 6, 2007) Presented a series of lectures starting with early animals through chordates and topics in ecology o Also prepared a series of quizzes and exams o General Biology II Presented an hour lecture on the formation of the Earth o General Biology I Presented an hour lecture on the electron transport chain and photosynthesis Teaching Assistant o Biology I and Biology II Labs Taught two labs per semester (Fall 2004 Fall 2005, Summer 2006), each containing ~25 students Lectured on topics in general biology and taught proper biology laboratory procedure Wrote and administered practical exams and quizzes Evaluated exams, laboratory reports, quizzes, presentations and assignments Provided input on improving the class Vertebrate and Natural History Labs Taught two labs (Spring 2004, Spring 2006, Spring 2008), each containing ~20 students Set up lab and taught natural history and identification of local species Assisted with field trips and taught field procedures Graded laboratory exams, specimen preps, and field notebooks Anatomy and Physiology I & II Labs Taught two labs (Fall 2006) & three labs (Spring 2007), each with ~23 students Aided in set up for all lab per week and taught human anatomy and principles of physiology in relation to the major organ systems of the human body Wrote and administered quizzes and exams Graded laboratory reports, quizzes, and exams Intro Chemistry I Lab Assisted in with prelab lectures and explanation of individuals labs Aided in lab set up Help to maintain control and safety of all students (~30) during laboratory experiments Graded laboratory reports, exams, and quizzes SCHOLARSHIPS Graduate Scholarship UT Tyler ( ) $2,000 Transfer Scholarship UT Tyler ( ) $3,000 RESEARCH EXPERIENCE Aided in mammal and herp survey at Camp Maxey (2003).
