2 Meet the consignors Steele Speckle Park Our family farm is located just outside of Thamesford, Ontario. We make effort to grow the majority of feed inputs and straw on farm. We have always been involved in breeding cattle genetics. Since selling our Holstein herd it was a perfect fit to get into another established black and white breed. We are pleased by the overwhelming interest that this breed has created. Moving forward we like working with the Speckle Park breed and plan to share our genetics and are not afraid to sell our best! We have been involved in the Herd Builder Sale since inception in We believe there is still more room for new quality Speckle Park breeders in Ontario and look forward to meeting new breeders this February. Fleetwood Speckle Park Fleetwood Farms is a family owned and operated cash crop, cattle, and pig farm that has been operated by the McKillop family for many generations. Fleetwood Speckle Park, primarily a cow/calf operation with a small feedlot, is owned and operated by Dave McKillop & Cassie Taylor. Our focus is on conformational correctness in animals that can walk out of the show ring and into your operation, performing at the higher end of the spectrum. Our herd currently consists of approximately 30 commercial and purebred cows and heifers that will be calving in early We show Speckle Park cattle at Ontario fairs throughout the year, and we are excited to have returning 4Hers purchase steers and heifers from us to help promote the breed thought-out Ontario show rings. We have previously sold females in the Herd Builder sale and are excited to now be part of the 2016 Herd Builder bull offering. We are proud to offer high quality animals and are eager to support and be a part of the Speckle Park breed here in Ontario. The decision truly is black and white! Silver Tip Speckle Park Silver Tip Speckle Park is a family run farm by Hugh & Paula MacNeil in St. George, Ontario. We run a feedlot with up to 1000 head of natural raised cattle for Meyers program and a few other prominent suppliers. We also run an 80 head cow herd of predominantly Speckle Park cows which are all bred to our purebred Speckle Park bulls. We have carcass weight up without jeopardizing grading and feed efficiency which the breed is known for. The breed is a premium for the home freezer beef trade as the sides are always consistently palatable with lower overall price to the consumer with smaller families that do not want a huge side for their freezer. With this breed growing in huge demand, we are proud to be part of its success and recognition in the Ontario market now and for years to come. Black, white and Canadian - let s put ourselves on the map! Underhill SPECS Underhill SPECS is a progressive operation run by Jordon & Donna Underhill and soon to be 2 sons. Running commercial & registered Speckle Park breeding stock in Alma, Ontario. We have sold many females and bulls through past Herd Builder Sales and will be calving 45 Speckle Park cows/heifers in Cattle heat detection and calving are all monitored via wireless cameras direct to our Smartphones, allowing us to work off farm to run our agricultural trade show company. We have invested in bull power, with all our calves coming out of high quality registered Speckle Park bulls. Our goal is to breed for larger scale performance cattle, without sacrificing correctness. We view Speckle Park as a modern beef breed and have embraced the opportunity to help further develop the breed here in Ontario. We are most proud of the new breeders in Ontario, with more than 50 unique buyers total over the past 3 Herd Builder Sales. This could not have been achieved without our fellow consignors that represent quality stock backed with exceptional breeder reputation. We thank all previous Herd Builder bidders and buyers and look forward to connecting with new faces this February. A modern beef breed for modern beef producers buy Canadian! 2
