2 Auctioneer Kirk Davis Sale Agent Southeast Mississippi Livestock AAL Guarantee A certified veterinarian palpates bred heifers within 60 days of sale date. All guarantees are made by consignor and not by MSU-Extension Service or Southeast Mississippi Livestock AAL Heifers will be guaranteed bred for 30 days following the sale by producers. Sale Procedure Heifers will be sold in uniform lots sorted according to breed type, size and calving dates. Heifers become the property of the purchaser immediately after sale and become purchaser s risk as soon as sold. No cattle will be loaded until the conclusion of the sale and all fees will be collected by Southeast Mississippi Livestock AAL. Loading assistance will be provided. Origin/Breeding Many of these heifers have been home-raised. Some purchased from quality herds in surrounding areas. Consignors are available and willing to share information on their individual cattle. Breeding E.P.D. s also available from consignors. Lunch Lunch will be available on sale day. Trucking Trucking will be available.

3 January 2018 Buyers and Visitors: Welcome to our 5 th Annual Bred Heifer Replacement Sale. Thanks for your interest in this set of quality females and the producers who consigned them. Heifers are palpated by a certified veterinarian and pelvic measured. Cattle are screened for obvious defects and other problems. If you see a problem we might have missed, please bring it to our attention before the sale. Interest has always been strong in Central Mississippi for quality replacement heifers and we are pleased with this offering. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask our consignors.

4 Remington-Lott 989 Endris Road Canton, MS (601) We have been in the cattle business for over 30 years. We have been artificial inseminating for 15 years, selecting for functional, market-acceptable cattle that maintain eye appeal. The past 6 years we have spent concentrating on improving the replacement heifer program. Remington-Lott Farms strives to raise replacement heifers that meet qualify and performance criteria and yet maintain eye appeal. We maintain a 60-day breeding season and cull accordingly. On breeding replacement heifers, we use proven A.I. calving ease sires and for clean-up we use McCabe Genetic calving ease Angus sires. Remington-Lott s cattle have all had multiple rounds of vaccinations on a complete herd health program prescribed by Dr. James Alexander of Yazoo City, MS. They were raised on our health program; they were boostered with Vira-Shiled VL5 HB and 7-way clostridial vaccines in October. They are bred to a Low Birth Weight Reg. Angus bull, S/F Rebel CED +11. He has done a really nice job for us; we ve never had to assist one of his calves being born. They will begin calving in late January and finish early March ½ ½ ½ ½ ½ ½ ½
