IN-CALVERS: Dams sold as PD+ will only be warranted if over 12 weeks in-calf at the time of sale. All cows and heifers stated to be in-calf that have been served not less than 12 weeks before the date of sale and are shown to be PD+ will be guaranteed by the Vendor to be in-calf unless otherwise announced at the time of sale. However, no guarantee can be given as to the date of calving or breed of calf. Any claim under this guarantee must be made in writing, supported by a Vet certificate, to the Auctioneers within 7 weeks of the sale. Any other service dates are a statement of fact only and not a warranty. HERD HEALTH: Unless otherwise stated cattle will not have been tested for any notifiable diseases, i.e BVD, Lepto IBR & Jonhes etc. UNSOUNDNESS: (Vendor s Warranty) Unless stated to the contrary in the catalogue or at the time of sale, subject to Condition 25 and any specific exclusions detailed below, animals sold are warranted by the vendor as follows: (a) Store, Dairy and Beef Breeding Cattle: Each animal is warranted to be free from any unsoundness. This warranty is an after sale on the day warranty in respect of eyes, teeth, legs and feet or any visible defect. In the case of clinical Johne s disease this will be a 35 day warranty. 2 D & R MILLER & SON EDINGTON TB INTRODUCTION: Welcome to Frome Livestock Market and this very genuine dispersal sale of quality suckler cattle from D & R Miller & Son following their decision to cease beef production. D & R Miller & Son have been regular supporters of Frome Livestock Market always consigning quality entries of home bred suckled Limousin store cattle which have been readily sought by purchasers. This sale comprises: 47 Cows with 49 Calves at foot (1-2mo) plus 2 Pedigree Limousin Bulls Stourhead Frome & Moonleaze Ideal. This is an ample opportunity for potential purchasers to acquire a very genuine consignment of livestock. This herd can be highly recommended to those attending the sale. Trevor Rowland, Auctioneer HERD MANAGEMENT: All cows consigned in this sale are strong Continental and Angus types which have not been running with the bulls since calving (all cows empty). All cows have been wormed with Ivomec on 19 th March All the calves at foot are sired by the Pedigree Limousin bulls who are also presented for sale today. All calves have been dehorned, BVD tested clear and all males have been castrated. The cattle are housed in Winter, fed a ration of silage and hay plus have a powdered mineral supplement and rock salt available all year round. The herd has been well managed by and are a credit to Paul and Tracey Miller. HERD HEALTH: The holding is located near Westbury, Wiltshire and is subject to a 12 month TB regime. The holding is farm assured ( exp. 07/18).
